I sent you an email from your Naira land profile. I don’t understand what you mean by your signature as i can’t find anything in your profile. I’m new here so I actually get confused navigating this platform.

I have seen your PM and have responded.

Have you acquired a bachelor's degree in the past? Your best chance is to opt for a degree that is higher than your already completed one which is a PGD.

I am in my second year studying engineering which is a 5 year course. I have two options: either wait to finish my bsc here or start afresh with a bsc program over there. Confused.
And please what the chance of getting approved for a BSc program since most ppl here apply for either masters or PDG
Thanks!

Good evening guys.... am about applying for my study permit and my sponsor which happens to be my dad has two accounts, will I have to tender both statements of accounts since there is money in both accounts
Secondly I applied for a post graduate program which fee is around 16,000cad, the school asked me to pay my first semester fee which am about to pay,so my sponsor's account will be left with 3million,will that enough to tender?
If after paying your first semester fee and what's left in your sponsor's account is 3million naira, then that would not be enough and could land you a refusal. VO will want to see amount sufficient enough to cover for the remaining semester fee that make up your first year of study and $10,000cad to take care of your first year living expense and still leave enough balance for your sponsor to carter for himself and any other dependant.
I will advice you work on the account to improve the balance or better still get a co sponsor related to you.

I'll include the ratio of approval to denial but i hope it doesn't freak people out... For the second suggestion, there is already a ratio that tracks average time between medicals passed (both upfront and requested) and PPR...

Thanks for the suggestions...

Sally, you are really doing a great job here and we very much appreciate you. I personally have learnt a lot from the informations you always put out here, God will bless you as you keep up the good work.

I guess the person is talking about IELTS. It is one of the requirements for Express Entry, an immigration route to Canada.
There so many other requirements but this is one of the. You can check out their websites for more info.

Hope this helps.
Thank you for your response. I will make more enquiries about the IELTS and ask questions where necessary.

Print out the statement before paying... Just make sure you submit your application this month.
I will do just that... Thanks

Submit the both bank statements in as much as there is funds in both accounts. Unfortunately, 3M is not sufficient enough to cover for your first year tuition and living expenses. Your sponsor (DAD) is expected to have 16,000CAD$ plus additional 10,000CAD$ for your first year living expenses and additional funds left for his dependents and personal welfare.
Thanks alot... I guess I have to find a co sponsor

Hey guys! So I just found out that my mum has a long term friend who actually works at the Canadian embassy in Lagos. He basically said that there’s a queue in printing visas right now and that as long as you’ve gotten an original passport request you will get your VISA. So fingers crossed I get it soon! This is for the people who have submitted after receiving an original passport request and haven’t gotten any updates

I see you using word 'co-op' options. Please, what does it means in the context here.

Just simply means you have the opportunity to apply what you are taught in class during paid work. You work full time for a specific period, get work experience in your field while studying and you get paid. Depending on the program, it could be 4 months, 8 months, 12 months...

@naijaforeigner & co who are currently schooling in Ontario! A sister of mine just finished her second semester and has been looking for student jobs for the summer. She is open to transfer to school in Toronto area as there are limited opportunities in Windsor. I will be glad if anyone can connect her with openings in your area. I live in the U.S., so there is little I can do other than to help her financially.

P.S. She is able to pay for her rent immediately if she needs to move to where there are job opportunities.

Thank you in advance.

She wants to change school or looking for where to work for the summer break before she goes back to Windsor?

I think you sent me a mail.

Hi,

Unfortunately, i may not be the best person to ask this question as i am not well enlightened on how best to add a toddler to one's study permit application. I would refer you to @ Ify85 on this one.

Looking for where to work in the summer and open to changing school. The reason she considers changing school is her area is dry and after summer she will still like to continue with her 20 hour student job. Plus, if she is to find a job outside her current geographical location, then the best option will be to terminate her lease and move to the new location and find a school there.

I sent you PM and replied to your email, sorry if you didn't get it. We can chat via email strictly about this in order not to derail the thread.

Hi,

Unfortunately, i cannot recommend a program for you.
Pursuing a second degree requires serious financial, mental and emotional investments and i would not want to recommend a course for you that you'd eventually hate or that has no correlation with your future plans and career goals.

You're the best person that can make this decision for yourself. Here are some questions you may want to ask yourself to guide your decision;
1. What are your interests
2. What is your career goal
3. What opportunities excite you?

With all this said, when it is finally time for you to apply for a study permit, you will now have to tell a compelling story that ties your background to your intended degree.

I actually tagged you as a gentle reminder about the message i sent to you earlier, where I asked for your help to skim through my SOP to see if I'm on the right track. Thanks.

If it is an online application, when answering the questionnaire indicate you will also be applying for your toddler. It will automatically generate an application form (TRV if < 5 or study permit if >5) for him/her.

I cannot help you with the review, I'm sure someone else will do that. I just wanted to say that if the information on the SOP is important, don't whittle it down. Leave it that way. You need all the help you can get to convince the visa officer who would be going through your application. It 4 pages of SOP will get you that application, leave it at 4 pages.

Always remember to go straight to the point and be as concise as possible, no rigmarole.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot.

Hi, I am not sure I'm going about this the right way. Which questionnaire are you referring to? The reason I'm asking is because after filling relevant information in the questionnaire I saw when I logged into my account, I got the feedback that my family member does not require a visa.

Good day everyone, can someone please help me with these two questions:

1) Does anyone know from practical situation about University of Calgary refund policy. I've read their policy and also contacted them and they said they refund fees if visa is denied, except the 500CAD non refundable fee. I just want to know if anyone has had problem with them before in that aspect.

2) There was a time I was hearing in this forum that Nairobi VOs don't have joy via refusal rate sometime last year as they were handling paper application then. Please I want to know if both paper and online are done the same place now as I want to apply via paper.

Answers will be very appreciated.
