Congrats. Good news is good news.

It has ended in praise. May your new life be great.

Raconteur14:
It's been a long while I have been here. Decided to share my PPR story even though I didn't get it through express entry.

January 2019 - I got married to my girlfriend who was a PR.

January 2019 - I got a new job.

February 27 2019 - Submitted my sponsorship application (Average time of processing is one year)

March 2019- I did my biometrics.

May 16 2019- I got an e-mail that I was eligible for pre-arrival services.

May 16 2019- I got another e-mail to go and do my medicals. I was so excited about this that I was bubbling up and down. People usually do medicals 6 months or more after the application has been submitted.

May 16 2019- I got yet another e-mail from Accra Immigration notifying me that my Visa was ready. So is my COPR. I had just gotten the PPR email. I was behind myself with so much joy and I still can't believe it. But God did it.

I share this to encourage someone. Be patient, keep at it and God would bring your own testimony for you.

I couldn't keep up with the thread from Part 3 because my situation wasn't changing. I am pretty sure that people we started together then are well settled in Canada now. But I am just so glad that God showed up for me this way. It's only him!

My fellow nairalanders. I appreciate your help so far despite the fact that I haven't really gone too far. I am just at the ECA stage and registered for ielts next month. It's with a very great sadness that I might have to pull out of this canny dream. Really sad for me. hubby has seriously been reluctant. Says he loves his Naija and God has not instructed him to leave Nigeria and until he receives his heavenly dream from God, he is not going anywhere. He actually said if I want to go badly, I should. But here's the problem, with 3 kids ages 5 3, and 1.5 years old. How do I cope with daycare, job search, mobility, picking up from schools, groceries, and upkeep alone in Canada. To worsen it, he isn't supporting financially. I even offered and begged to have him sit for ielts and his eca with my monthly pay he reluctantly said yes but I thought, one can only force a horse to the river but not to drink. Without his help how will I survive with 3 beautiful kids alone in Canada. He is not even batting an eye concerning the benefits. He's a speedy driver, says cars are meant for speed how will such a person cope with Canadian traffic rules. These and some little others have just weakened me especially my children and the highest I can even leave them is a week. We are that close that they have never gone to bed without my hug and kisses. I dont have any family over there to help with. Good night.

To give up is not an option. Your husband can only change his mind when he sees you're making progress in the process. So go ahead and smash IELTS. Tell him about the result and if your ECA is ready, enter the pool with him unaccompanying (pls inform him about it).

Pray to God for him to change his mind. Goodluck.

Don't be discouraged. In addition to Topsmamen advice, I was referred to @skywalk12 (one of the active gurus in part 6) interview report by my dear friend. Read it here https://www.nairaland.com/4843199/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/104#73342298

I found her attitude towards and during the interview so impressive. She said "And several times during that interview, I wanted to give up, she just kept attacking me, but I asked myself, if you don’t fight for this, what will you fight for? So I fought back. I fought one more round." She got PPR!

Sis, do not be intimidated by the VO. Your application is your truth. Defend it!

You will come back and testify.

good afternoon everyone, please just want to start our journey to Canada and will really appreciate all your guidance. my husband studied French in the university and has worked in the bank for 10 years and at the same time he teaches French to staffs in the banking hall, in a nut shell (he speaks, writes and understand French very well) .he will be 34 by may 27
I studied computer science in the university and I have been a baker by profession for five year now. my age 26 . we have to kids age 3 and 2

Hello there, my name is etrange and I'm here to introduce you to the world of TEF. Going by your data, you and your hubby might need a little push to nail the desired crs score. You've got a couple of options yourself of which the most feasible is the BCS exam given that you are already conversant with computers. On the other hand, your hubby's linguistic proficiency could be the magic wand you've been looking for as he has the option of writing TEF and increasing your crs score to a great extent.

Since he already speaks French, all he needs is to spare some time to prepare for the exam and understand its secretes. He can register for a preparatory class at Alliance Francaise a month before the exam just to get a hang of the kind of questions to expect. The aim is to get B2 in all sections and the rest is history. Follow this link for more details:

The Journey
IELTS: In preparing for IELTS, I used IELTSOLINE and CAMBRIDGE for Listening and Reading. For speaking, I used youtube to know what was expected. For writing, I used IELTS-UP to read the different formats of essay writing. Then overall, I used Liz, the videos I could find online. I also have a friend who tutors people for IELTS, she gave me some tips and helped review my writing and speaking. We had agreed that hubby will not write IELTS neither will he do ECA; we could save the money and use it for some other things, so I was under a lot of pressure to max out. Thank God he saw me through

On 10th May, a friend added me to a whatsapp group and on 13th they discussed about AVO. So I chatted the person who responded to please help include me to the AVO whatsapp group if she was in the group and she did. 14th May, the same lady announced on the group that she moved to ip2, I was sad that there was no movement on my application but felt a nudging to check my profile (at this time I had resorted to checking my profile like once a week or 10 days). I logged in and BOOM!!! I saw I had been visited by ‘the GHOST’ (application/profile updated). Logged in and saw that background check was now “we are processing….”. Chai!!! I was overjoyed; expecting PPR the following day or at least before the end of the week. Hmmm!!! Wednesday passed, nothing; Thursday, nothing; Friday nothing. In fact, someone who moved to ip2 on Thursday got PPR on that Friday, but here I was, still expecting mine. Monday 20th May 2019, 2 people had announced PPR on the AVO whatsapp group (they moved to ip2 after me o), then sometime around 3, I checked my phone (as I had been all day) and saw a mail. Unlocked my phone and saw…….. you guessed right… ‘do not reply cic’. My entire body started shaking, my mind was racing, is this PPR or ADR (for famous 5) or rejection letter? I logged in (had a failed attempt cos I was shaking) and saw a request letter. Opened it and read the words “it appears your application has been approved and your visa is ready to be issued…..”. I just locked my computer (na office I dey o) picked up my phone, dialed hubby’s number while stepping out of the office and when he picked I said “baby im shaking” he said “what is it, are you alright”, I said “yes, it has dropped, its PPR”. By this time, I was out of the office and I screamed….. God has done it!!!!!!!
This thread has amazing people, even though I was not active, I feel like I know you all. God bless you all and keep up the good work. To everyone in one phase or the other, please keep at it, God is ever faithful just hold on to Him, he will see you through. The journey is worth every effort
Sorry for the very long post (I actually dint think it will be this long) but I had been postponing posting my stories; from IELTS to ITA. I could not but come back and share my story, cos I gained a lot from here; not just knowledge, laughter as well and sorry the gist is just coming in, being battling with how to post on here.

With IQAS you don't need to send WAEC. all you need is get your university to send your transcript to them. But you must know their processing time is really really slow.

oyluv:

I applied to IQAS may ist 2019
I have applied for my transcript and I hear waec has to send my waec certificate bro them too.

kindly help I really don't understand the process.
thank you.

May I ask who the recipient is? They can send it to you and you will also get a soft copy.

As for me, i never got the hardcopy (maybe it will arrive later), just the soft copy.

Does it mean that if the recipient is you,and u can get the sofy copy, then it isnt worth it using the costly tracking option?

I had this same issue when I made payment and mine went beyond 5 days. I had to go to Unilag Senate house where transcripts are being prepared and was referred to Unilag Consult beside First bank at DLI.

This was rectified within 2 mins.

Obinoscopy:
Please did You get any mail from Unilag after payment to confirm that they've received the money and are processing your request?

I requested for transcript and made payment via remitta at a bank but I'm yet to get a mail from Unilag confirming receipt of the money. I also checked my portal on the Unilag website and my payment wasn't reflected. Please I need your advice on what to do.

Just the degree you want to evaluate. WES adds WAEC automatically, its a default for all.

Please, I am currently rounding up with my diploma in education which is entirely different from my job as a Document Controller in oil & gas, just that is a family thing to get Edu background.

My question now is can I also evaluate the diploma in education together with my BSC in Business Admin (Accounting and Finance option) considering the fact that is entirely different from my job experience.

I have decided not to grade your script because it is a novel one. As a veteran on this thread since part 3, you deserve this badge of patience.

At the figure of speech, it's a literal translation from a Yoruba one "ti wo ba gun esin ninu mi, ko le kose". It's a figure of speech to express the joy one has that is boundless.
