Morning all. How can one upgrade his personal SOA though I have a salary account which did not have a substantial balance. 1. Can money be put and withdrawn over a period of time say 4 or 5 months? Cause I know putting a lump sum could raise red flags OR 2. Should I create a joint account with my wife and deposit money into it as savings account. If I can, then should the statement show only the balance or show months of inflow and outflow? Thirdly, my dad is late and owned an engineering company. My elder sis and mom were the directors of the company which has two big properties of which am residing in one with my family presently. I discussed with them yesterday after my refusal and they concluded to transfer the properties to me to serve as my personal assets. Do I need power of attorney or transfer of lease ?? Pls @ gurus and anyone with ideas or experiences your input is highly required. God bless |

Lol. This one never ready. You have more important things to worry about. Or better still you could just remain in Nigeria, since the weather here is very hot. chigo4u: |

Eyah... pele One thing I know about education in the northern hemisphere is the assignments and quiz and deadlines. If you blink small e don plenty. Do not worry, you go soon adjust. You basically hit the ground running when you got there... so I can imagine how hectic it will be trying to adjust with weather, the life, culture shock plus school. Do not forget to breathe... you will be fine. As for the swallow and okro or ogbono, I no fit help you for that one ooo, especially for Ottawa. If to say na Toronto ehen I for fit find out for you where to go get better food, plus Suya sef. But have you looked for an African restaurant or store? I am certain if you check online you will see where to chow that okro and swallow, or buy the ingredients and go and cook. Austacus: |

I'll address your 3rd question. For transfer of landed property, what you need is d deed of conveyance/deed of assignment, not a lease or power of attorney. Some people use power of attorney to transfer property in Nigeria, but in the strict sense, power of attorney is merely a document giving a person certain powers in respect of a property like to manage, sell, or lease the property. It doesn't signify ownership. Get a deed of conveyance. nochyks87: 2 Likes |

nochyks87: The first advice I give people reapplying is to avoid rushing the next application. You don't want to appear desperate in your next application. Secondly, it is important to ensure your application correlates with the previous application, you don't want them thinking why didn't he/she attach it in the first application etc. You need your gcms note to guide you accordingly. You can't also be transferring cash in and out just to show good credit the funds need to be retained that's why it's called a "savings account"and also for any additional documents you'll be adding ensure you state reason why it wasn't in the previous application. All the best. 1 Like |

nochyks87: If your father Engineering firm is yielding high income, let that serve as your working place and place one of your personal account on monthly salary of 500k for 6 months. You do not need to change who is the director of the company. Look for how to get some amount of money close to 8m and starts depositing and withdrawing in some of 200-300k weekly into another of your personal account. And this account will serves as freelance account. Anyway grace matters |

Hello Everyone I'm new in the group and I please need your advice on my situation. I have a diploma in Business management( With just 8 modules) an in january 16 i applied for a study permit for a Diploma in Business management ( with 17 modules) in Toronto school of management I got a refusal in Jan 30 reason purpose of visit. I ordered for tha CAIPS NOTES they stated "On the basis of the documents provided, not satisfied that the applicant will leave Canada at the end of his period of residence under subsection 216 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, given the reason for his visit. The applicant has received an offer of registration for a program which represents a very important financial investment given the income of his country of residence and which is not credible in relation to his age, his previous personal background and his family situation". Whereas my tution fee was $12500 i already paid $3,250 and my sponsor which is my dad had $31,500 in his account and i had also attached his properties documents and cars. This time arround i bettered my SOP stating all the reasons why the course assuring i will return for i have a job waiting for my after, gave all my jobs referencing letters, payement slip, future employement letter etc. My Dad's bank statement got bigger with $52,000 note that he is an entrepreneur his money are from his activities for the pass 2 years so his bank statement shows his many entries so i also attached his business document even his business bank statement all possible document concerning him and me i included. Now these are the 3 reasons they gave • I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in coming to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. I'm shook because it doesn't make sense i thnik of changing my course to human resource management and changing my city as well to go to a less popula and populated province. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP AND SUGGESTION PLEASE FOR MY NEXT APPLICATION BECAUSE I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRONG THANKS IN ADVANCE |

I went to pay the fees today but I was told to get a document from the school and it seems it will take weeks. My problem now is tha my sponor letter, my sop and my affidavit has mentioned that 3000cad has been paid already . But i want to submit my app without the payment yet. Will this av a negative effect in my application? Can I send the tuition reciept later after submission? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by crusader6(m): 11:38am On May 22, 2019 |
OptimusPrime21:To pay fees through the A form the bank said they need an official letter from the school showing the school bank detail and amount I need to pay. Whereas my school didnt giv me such and moreover they dont require any fees yet. |

crusader6: Remember the the Canadian embassy works with proofs, what if they contact your school in the first week of your application for if truly you've paid your fees. I'll suggest you get the proof of payment from your school first. Very important |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by OptimusPrime21: 11:45am On May 22, 2019 |
crusader6: If your school hasn't told you to pay your school fees yet, why do u wanna pay den...as long as you have your admission letter...you are good to go...but if u want to pay, your admission letter should have where they will explain how to pay your tuition fees. Most schools usually use flywire as a means to pay fees... |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Stonecoldsteve: 11:46am On May 22, 2019 |
Your sponsor has 450k USD. He should state in his letter of sponsorship that as a commitment to his sponsorship, he is transferring your one year living expenses (10000 cad) and your flight itinerary (3000cad) to your account. His SOA should also show outflows of the given funds to corroborate the story. He should also transfer your tuition to your account if possible. His SOA should also show this transfer. Does your sponsor operate a limited liability or a sole proprietorship? If it's the former, he has to give you a board resolution stating that he can withdraw money for your education yearly. If it's the latter, he can just state in his attestation that he is free to draw from the account as he likes as he is sole signatory. For the land/property, get a backdated document stating that the land/property was gifted to you by your father. nochyks87: 1 Like |

Ask your school for the payment invoice. Mind you if it's not a university the "A Form" won't fly. crusader6: |

Esthesr2019:Sorry about your refusals. However I noticed quite a lot of mistakes you made in your previous applications; 1. Your proposed program doesn't show progression to your previously acquired certificate. I.e you have a diploma and going for another diploma with more credit isn't a credible reason hence "Purpose of visit" and that's why the vo doesn't understand what you stand to gain from the program. 2. I am sorry but most times it doesn't matter what's in your account. That isn't the only factor considered. So your dads balance improving from the Last time doesn't mean much. 3. The number of siblings you have, the type of account your dad used and the economic situation in relation to your proposed program says a lot. 4. I will advice you pay a full semester tuition if possible rather than a deposit. 5. You need to be very careful with your next application. There shouldn't be any trace of desperation and the choice of program is very important. I will suggest you try Thompson rivers university post baccalaureate business program that shows a direct progression from your previous diploma. Lastly, order gcms note which I believe will be similar to the last. You need a new direction, a strong sop and loe. All the best. 1 Like 1 Share |

I applied on the 12th of April. It was a reapplication. In fact, my third application in 3 years. Got Correspondence letter yesterday. I already knew my refusal was lurking. I just received a sms from vfs saying my passport is ready for collection even though my cic online account is still on eligibility review. Background. B.Sc Geography. 3.80/5.00. 8 Years Work Experience as a Fleet and Transport Manager with the Lagos State Government. I got admitted for an Advanced Diploma in Geographic Sciences at the NSCC COGS (Centre of Geographic Sciences). I opted for this program because it focuses more on the practical aspect of Geographic Information Systems which I am passionate about. My first refusal was based on travel history and purpose of visit. I got my GCMS noted and reapplied last year. Explaining in my SOP why I was going for a Geographic Sciences program even though I have had years of experience in transport management. I even attached a letter I wrote at the when I first got my job asking for a change of cadre as I wasn't fulfilled. I was refused again and the VO sited Travel history and ties at home and in Canada even though I am married with 2 kids as reasons. I applied again this year and tried to tackle the VOs concerns. 1. I travelled to Kenya September last year then Dubai. 2. I then applied for a Brazilian visa, it was approved so I visited Brazil for 5 days in November. 3. I applied for Schengen visa late last year, I was lucky it was approved. Visited a host of Schengen countries in February with my wife and 2 kids. 4. Visited Ghana for a training in February. I was confident I had tackled recent travel history and applied again last month February. Docs Submitted. 1.CIC forms. 2. Acceptance Letter 3. Lagos State Government employment letter. 4. Account Statement with 15m balance. With over 45m inflow over 6 months. (Salary account plus funds are from house rents of houses my father left behind when he passed).I attached evidences of these houses as well as tenancy agreements. 5. My company account statement with a balance of 8m and influx of over 30m over a period of 6 months. 6. My Company CAC certificate 7. My Company tax clearance. 8. 3 Land documents in my name. 9. My mom's account statement (Co sponsor) with 11m balance. 10. Mom's stocks and bonds as well as property documents of 2 shopping plazas that she owns. 11.My wife and kids passport data pages and birth certificates. 12. Degree and NYSC discharge certificates. 13. Marriage certificate 14. Lagos State Government Study leave letter. 15. Lagos State Government letter that my salary and allowances will be paid during the course of my study. 16. Previous visas 17. Lease agreement of house I'll be staying in Canada. Cost of study is 10,590CAD. (Paid 2,000CAD) with balance due in August. Living expenses 10,000CAD. I have immediately ordered GCMS. My mom also thinks I should engage an immigration lawyer for a Judicial review but I don't know if that will work. I'm devastated to say the least but I'm not giving up. |
