amb001: Well that's about $250 monthly/$3k per year, for a period of 15years. Most Indians take loans like this. The scope is that at the end of their MS programs, these guys get employed in the tech industry which pays well over $70k yearly. It all depends on you bro. Jukwa ese! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

At first, i feel like ignoring your comments and unsubstantiated qoute but on the second thought, I felt i should correct your insinuation and unfounded facts about me otherwise you will continue in your archaic ways in responding to inquiries on this forum in the name of being blunt. It should be known that 99% of Nigerian seeking Visa Approval are potential migrants which you are not exempted. If i have devised F1 Visa to migrate to a greener pasture is purely my decision and none of your concern. I have a study permit application to Canadian Embassy which is still under process, I am baffled to hear from you that my visa application was refused since 16th of May 2019. I never knew you now work with Canadian embassy for you to have had a first hand information about my denial even without my knowledge. I need a proof about my Visa denial from you for this forum to see that you are just a noise maker trying to seek cheap attention. I have also seen a lot of people got approval with their family on F1 visa, what makes you conclude that Family is the only ties to home country? Also for you to conclude that I do not have sufficient funds to maintain a decent life in US is very nasty comment to have made and shows how shallow your mentality is. I do not need to expatiate on my financial strength but heaven knows that i can feed and pay your bills conveniently for 2 years. Yes, I made it know earlier in my post on this forum that I was denied a visiting visa in 2018 which is not a crime, I can conveniently tell you that I have lost count of number of time I have Visited UK with my family. I will admonish you to control your loose tongue while replying to comments on this forum and always make a constructive arguments. TWoods: 15 Likes 3 Shares |

Good day House. Congrats to the recent approvals and goodluck to others who are yet to be interviewed. I dont know if this has been asked before but what is the general rule on entry to the US? My school is in Alabama but I want to spend some time with a relative in Louisiana before heading to Alabama. Will this be frowned upon on the PoE? I did mention that I had a relative in Louisiana during my interview so I personally dont think it's a problem. I just want to confirm from the house before booking my flight. Thanks in advance. |

....some bunch of narcissists, admissibly intelligent but lacking in empathy; getting relevance from young sychophants who do not understand how life works. Your incisiveness/intelligence (in certain issues ofcourse) is a function of the family you were born into and your upbringing (of which you had no prior influence over!). You could have been the other person whose comments you dismiss with a shrug. Above all, what matters is your relationship with God. Life is transient. Let's be family! Going forward, I think we should give silent treatments to demeaning comments... 11 Likes 2 Shares |

AgreatMan: Nawao Only a fool will walk into that kind of debt without making serious calculations. On second thought, I'm not really surprised to hear that. A lot of people here make decisions without thinking long-term. A lot of people accept offers to courses or schools that are even strange to them just because they receive full financial aid. No calculations at all! Some years ago, it was Cleveland State University - any course at all so far I receive financial aid. Then it was ETSU. Then it was Chemistry - even people that studied BS in Economics were applying for MS in Chemistry. Now, someone is taking loans without calculating his interest and repayment fees. Before taking student loans, you need to calculate your future earning potential. You don't want to be stuck with debt all your life! That is why I advise people to take loans only to the best schools or amazing locations and to the most marketable courses because those factors will facilitate your repayment ability. I see people taking loans to courses in natural sciences (Chemistry, Biology etc). Those courses do not command high salaries after graduation and I don't see why an international student will take loans for suh courses. Na people like this go take loans and when they can't repay, they will write blogs and start complaining about student loans. Then, some uninformed people will copy those posts and put it here to explain to you why you should pursue full funding at all costs - even to courses you don't like. And when you talk, the same ass.holes will attack you with their insecurity issues. SMH - I'll keep observing Meanwhile, I don't think they use the compound interest rate to calculate such loans. Most of those fintech firms use several variations of simple interest rates such as the simple daily interest rate to calculate their interests 6 Likes 2 Shares |

TWoods 1. People who wish to reference God for their success should not be bullied. 2. U left d country 20 years ago, n things r different now. At most u come home a few times n endure Nigeria because u know your jet is waiting at Muritala Airport when u get fed-up. He whose Palm kernel was cracked by a benevolent spirit should not forget to be humble. One wise man called Chinua Achebe said so. On a very positive note TWoods has an opinion, n doesn't like to stay in the middle so as to "satisfy" all parties. At least, it shows he is no politician, who talks just to keep everyone happy. He is not nice with the truth, which is a rare quality. Sounds like the kind of guy u need at the half-time team talk when your team is down by 3 goals. Popular opinions r not in your favor but it doesn't mean there isn't a lot of sense in your submissions. Well done, n post again as much as u like. Perhaps, if we have people like u willing to "trash-talk" our youths to their senses, Nigeria would have been liberated. We are where we are today because all of us are Nice. 2 Likes |
