During my time in Mongaji Dan yamusa orientation camp in Nasarawa State , there was a day I went to the clinic to complain about headache and catarrh then , I was not familiar with the tablet given to me so as i was waiting for a friend we both went there , funny enough my friend complained of malaria and he was given same tablet given to me , as we were both laughing at the expertise of our camp clinic "London doctors" , another corp member came out and she was given same tablet , guess what! She complained about excessive "purge" as a result of running stomach.


Three patients, same tablets for different ailments wow , thank God I didn't go alone cox , I would have take my leave and wouldn't discover all that.


Na so we all throwaway their drugs o, just imagine those set of people inject you , this op issue is what will happen, well I pray help locate you on your medical issue.

You are a liar. A doctor in UK can make up to 10,000GBP a month on locum. I know one who even owns 2 houses, all on locum pay. He is not even a resident yet. How many doctors in Nigeria can afford to even pay rent in a place like Asokoro in Abuja?

Most of these doctors always feel insulted when you ask ' what's the name of this injection you want to give me?', at a very tender age, i read about some of these urgly experiences people have with doctors and drugs/injections.

I don't ever take changes with my life, I ask them what's the name of the injection please? Even for my kids I ask before they are being administered and I also ask whats the result of my kids test and mine too.

Always ask them and when the drugs dont sound familiar pls pulse them. Take your phone and search.

Eveb when I put to bed, my hospital place the drugs, injections and the card beside me, it's their way, the doctor will write out all the drugs and the pharmacy will provide everything from day one. I took the card, read all the drugs and seach for their names and know their use. It helps me use my drugs better sef.

I was in NYSC permanent orientation camp Mangu, Plateau State for NYSC orientation exercise. After eating launch that was served in camp on the 12-August-2018 I started having severe heartburn, painful urination, abdominal discomfort and also felt like fainting. I took plenty of water that day and went to bed. I woke up the next day which was the day of the camp closing ceremony feeling much worse so I rushed to the camp clinic. I was given ciprofloxacin and metronidazole tablets by a doctor who was a corp member. No lab test was done to ascertain the cause of my problem. I took the tablets but didn't feel better.

As time went on my situation got worse and I struggled to walk so I decided to leave the camp and find a medical facility outside where I could receive proper treatment. When I got to the gate of the camp I was stopped by a police man. He told me I was not allowed to leave the camp until the closing ceremony was over. I told him about my health issue and that I wanted to find a medical facility outside the camp where I could get proper treatment but he still refused to let me leave and insisted that I should use the camp clinic instead. I went back to the camp clinic and there I was given an injection on the right thigh by a doctor who was a corp member.

In the previous days in camp I applied for relocation. It was not granted so I went to pursue the matter. I returned to the camp clinic later to complain that my situation was not improving but I was Ignored. I sat in the consulting room and waited but the doctors acted as if no body was sitting there. I didn't even collect my posting letter that day because I was busy pursuing my health issue. I returned home (to Abuja) that day.

Two weeks later I started having severe burning pain in the leg that was injected. The leg felt very cold but was not cold to the touch. Immediately the pain started I knew it was the injection I received at the NYSC camp that caused it. The pain is very severe in the foot and also in the thigh that was injected. The burning pain has subsequently spread to all parts of my body. I feel it all over my head and my face and its causing me constant headache. The burning pain is the type you have after very hot water pours on your skin. I also have tingling (sensation of being stabbed with pins and needles) in my hands and right foot. My right leg has become very tender to the touch making walking, sitting, and lying with the leg touching a surface very painful.

Recently my right foot has started to go numb on one side. Whenever the pain is very severe I start thinking of ways to take my life. I have been to different hospitals and also took medication but no improvement. The pain is only worsening. I wish for death everyday but death is not coming. I have informed the NYSC Zonal inspector and also LGI (Local Government Inspector) in my place of primary assignment about my situation and also discussed with my LGI in January 2019 about them summoning the corp member doctors who were with us in camp so I could identify the one who injected me and get information about what he injected me but he told me that it will be difficult or almost impossible to do that. I don't know what to do now.

Before all this happened I was planning to venture into business full time. These days I can't even concentrate when performing activities such a studying, thinking, and reflecting because of pain and constant headache. Am i pain 24/7. The best I do when the pain is at peak is manage to sleep. I have lost interest in everything including life. Has any one reading this been in a similar situation or know what I can do now to get out of this situation. I'd like to get your inputs..
Death looks more attractive to me everyday. It seems like the best option available now. I never knew all my dreams and aspirations would be shattered by just one injection shot.

I visited a hospital today and was prescribed Neurobion. Am skeptical about the drug because its similar to Renerve Plus which have taken. I will get the drug tomorrow and start taking it and see what will happen. However am still hoping to hear from people on this forum who have had the same or similar experice or understand my problem. Am waiting for everybody's contribution. I have also been doing some searches on the internet. What makes finding a solution on the internet difficult is that the NYSC camp clinic where I was given that injection has no medical records of treatments that were given to patients. I don't even know what I was injected.

I was also sick when I was in camp but I was managed well because there was a specialist that monitored what the medical coppers were doing. Although that was about 10 years back anyway. My sincere advice to you is to look for a good hospital, even If it's a government hospital with qualified doctors and get yourself treated. Pray seriously over the pain and use anointing oil on that foot and all over your body with faith. Don't take it ordinary, as our adversary, satan is not always happy with our progress, especially when he knows one has a bright future. Burning sensation, cold sensation and tingling are all symptoms of neuropathy. These abnormal sensations collectively are called parathesia. Experiencing these all over your body is now a different case on its own. I don't see a way to explain or attribute it to that injection.

Maybe you've have an underlying disease.

I agree with your submission however you were a bit harsh in your response. The nurse gave that guy injection on the instruction of the doctor which this guy complained off even though he exaggerated the whole thing.

Every camp clinic have specialist doctors that visit from the teaching hospital in that state.Also resident doctors from family medicine department especially stay to do calls with corper doctors.
I advise you see a specialist neurologist to know why you are having this referred pain. Since the pain is spreading as you said then the primary site of the injection may be ruled out.does the pain radiate to your spine.have you had it before. I advise you see a specialist. Please be positive and clear any form of suicidal tendencies. In all i share your pain.

That was how I rushed a colleague that fainted during the parade to the clinic, we managed to revive her, then she started gasping for air, trouble as all of them stood there looking at her. I was screaming for them to do something. she almost died that day.
