Hi,
1. Please learn to quote/reply posts properly. I think you know how to do this but were adding to my post on purpose to try to make a point that was useless in this context. Don't EVER try that again with me. If you have a contrary view or opinion, PROPERLY REPLY THE POST AND DO NOT ADD TO THE ORIGINAL POST.
2. Co-op work permit is different from Postgraduate work permit. Do your research and stop jumping to conclusions wrongly. And get down from whatever moral high horse you're sitting on.
Have a good day.

I said to myself: I must testify before the end of this part First application Feb 24th 2016. Refused 4th march 2016. Reasons : Purpose of visit and home ties.
2nd application June 21st 2018 Biometrics 22nd June 2018. I was in Lagos for a friends wedding, decided to do medicals on 25th August 2018. Sent to CIC and my online profile was updated to passed on 29th August, same day, eligibility review started. On May 14th 2019, I was asked to submit an updated admission letter because my resumption date had passed. I called my school and after 10mins, letter dropped, I forwarded to CIC. 24th May 2019, Original passport request dropped. Application approved. My application took almost a year. I sent over 1000 mails (not exaggerating) regarding my application. I was sending 5mails to Lagos office and 5 to London every morning and evening. I mailed 121 MP's in Ontario province where my school is located, twice. I mailed the prime ministers office and the immigration ministers office, they responded after the third round of mails, and asked for more information which I furnished them with and I was told I will hear from them before 24th May 2019. And on the 24th of May, 2019, my application was approved and I was asked to submit my passport for stamping. As if Gods favor is not enough for me. While I went to submit my passport after 15mins of getting PPR, I walked into VFS and did the process, got my number, the whole place was so crowded (1st time am seeing VFS Abuja so crowded), I sat down, removed the passport request letter and was reading it again to be sure if am not dreaming. Guess what guys, the manager of VFS walked out of his office, walked past me and came back and asked if am here to submit my passport and I said yes, he called me, when behind the counter, collected my passport and signed on the letter, put it in the VFS bag and that was how I was attended to. The entire VFS Abuja were surprised to see a June 21st 2018 applicant. They checked twice to be sure. I can't thank Jehovah for his infinite Grace towards me. He is the Almighty and supreme being.

Amahjosh: Hello Gurus in the house Frank,Justmellow,Bracha and other gurus I have a question,
I am going for a year PGD course in George Brown college, I am a self sponsored applicant my employer is acting as a co-sponsor and they stated in their sponsorship letter that they will sponsor me with 6 million naira but the SOA they printed has a balance of just 6.1M with good inflow and outflow. Will this fly owing the balance is abit small and they said they won't make any transfer to my personal account until my visa is approved.
Please i need answers thank you
Hello Amahjosh, You left out a bit of detail. You didn't state how much is the closing balance in your personal SOA given that you're a self sponsored applicant. If after you've paid for your tuition fees and have your LE secured, what is the balance left in your personal SOA? Its a good idea your employer wants to cosponsor you but how long have you worked for your employer, and what about someone else like close relatives? If the closing balance in your personal SOA isn't sufficient maybe to cover your LE after paying your tuition fees, then your application might be up for proper financial scrutiny questioning the reason why your employer would be stressing to sponsor with the limited funds holding in the closing balance irrespective of the inflow and outflow even though if it sometimes plays a contributive role during financial scrutiny. It doesn't make sense saying someone who's not a relative is willing to use the last 6m that is left in the account to sponsor another person who isn't blood and bone through an expensive educational journey especially if its a one man business. Am not saying it isn't possible but in this Canada immigration of a thing, the VO are suspicious of every moves made by applicants. |

Hello Obazi,
What is the whole idea behind the Canada migration? and if after graduation one can't work to offset the high cost of studies and acquire a Canadian work experience by been eligible for a PGWP, then to what end will one squander such time, emotion drain, and funds because of just studies?
I don't think you understand what's a PGWP to a co-op permit, both are not in same level and differs in respective ways but yet shares common features.
There is no point going to a school that can't qualify a students to be eligible for a PWGP. To whom this concerns, that school isn't for you, run run afar if you have a PR dream.

Evankc: I really need your answer from all the guru in the house.
My friend got refuse for the 2rd time. She is about to re-apply again but want to be sure of : This is my questions
My question is if someone changes the informations about his past work experience in his next application form for his next visa application will the new VO notice it?
And someone that has a diploma in business management going for a post baccalaureate diploma in Human Resources management is it a progression and reasonable enough? I smell disperation in this application, let the person calm down to think and request for the gcms notes before reapplying. However, to the bolded: it contradicts your claims of soliciting for information on behalf of someone. Good luck! 1 Like |

canadaman18: Hey guys , just a piece of advise / information I wanted to share :
IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING IN CANADA AFTER SCHOOL , ENSURE YOUR SCHOOL IS ONE OF THE SCHOOLS THAT QUALIFY FOR A PGWP. THERE ARE SOME DLI USUALLY PRIVATE COLLEGES THAT DONT I remember posting this a while ago because I knew of people here who finished school having spent tens of thousands of dollars only to find out they have to go to another school or go back home because they dont qualify for PGWP. COOP work permit is a restricted work permit that lets you engage in work that forms an essential part of your studies. You cant use it for any other kind of work and in addition your work portion cannot be more than 50% of your entire program. Also work experience on a COOP work permit does NOT count towards PR. PGWP is an open work permit with restrictions on health occupations (you need to do another medical exam if you dont want that restriction.) You have 6months after you complete the requirements of your program to apply. Note the 6months doesn't start after your graduation ceremony , many have made this mistake. Once you apply online you are under implied status which lets you assume you already have the PGWP. Approval duration is dependent on length of degree. 2years or more will get you 3yr PGWP. 1 year will get you 1 year PGWP. Anythin in between will match duration of the program. Work experience on implied status or with PGWP counts for PR Also important to note to qualify for PGWP , you are only allowed to be part time in final semester of studies , a few exceptions might apply but this is at discretion of VO. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

And since then , I didn't hear from the embassy . because of the delay I lost my admission and I had to reapply again as the school does not defer ... a specialised and highly competitive programme . Fortunately I was offered admission the second time and I mailed my new admission letter to the embassy and also sent an updated statement of account alongside the new admission. Since then , I've been bombarding them with mails. I sent mails to several MPs, about 7 responded and took up my case , including the PM and Minister for immigration , I even extended my mails to the senators and speaker of the House and also the some Assistants or top personnel in IRCC office.
I didn't stop . I kept sending mails to anyone I see as a too official in Canada because my understanding is that they can't refuse me visa cuz I'm sending several mails(i don't know who has that thought ) And just today , I got the passport request .
Thank you everyone . special thanks to Makano(this dude advised me not to withdraw my apllication just yet and told me to keep sending mails. Makano will connect me to his office internet and tell me to check nairaland visa section for updates . I will go prepare the place for you bro, I'm your John the Baptist , yours will come in no time) @frankrobbn1 , @kpizzle ,this dude called me late in the night , shared his experience and gave me reasons to keep hopes high when I was hell bent on withdrawing my application. @Asapant, my man . You're blessed . @qudcom, @sillysassysally @justmellow @austacus @bracha and all other persons who gives to this section of the forum , God bless you all. Good work you guys are doing ... I wish @goingforward is still here .
Above all , GOD GOD GOD !!! HE DID IT . I prayed and fasted and I'm happy it payed off. My other moniker was just banned 17 Likes |

I posted on Monday that I got a Biometric correspondence on 21st, May,2019 and so did about 10 people that I met at Vfs on the 11th April, 2019. I got their number and added them to a group to monitor the progress of the application. Now, the issue is, everyone that got the correspondence have gotten another mail to go pick their passport at the embassy which ended up as a refusal, except me, I didn’t get the mail.
Now, my questions, is it possible that my passport has already been sent to Vfs but I wasn’t informed? Or, is it still possible to get a medical mail after a Biometric correspondence? |

I thought one can extend ones SP? OptimusPrime21:
If u get a 1year visa, and u defer your admission, your study duration won't be enough for the one year forcing you to apply for another study permit visa again...Wat if they refuse the visa... 1 Like |

Go and start praying....tell the 10persons to not give up...if they want to reapply...dy should order for their gcms notes to see why exactly were all 10 rejected at the same time |
