Did mine in Community Secondary School, Nkek, Ukanafun LGA. I did see a lot of ''old boys'' in class and wondered whether they were actually still less than 20. At least a couple of peeps here have acknowledged this fact. They, especially those that grew up struggling, look older than their ages.
Waoo!
However,
Oga icon4, are you saying those 2 guys are actually 19,18?
No sentiment!

People from northern Nigeria can match those Malian and Senegalese for height I'm sure...

yeah some Hausa fulanis...
but those guys are tall...
I remember seeing a Senegalese too...the boy was just too tall for his age...

the only Nigerians I have seen that tall...
where two NBA players.... I saw last year.
they claimed they play for a college like that which I have forgotten and they were ibos...
so tall too...

it's like Americans do inject some stuffs in those NBA players Genetic make up...to grow that tall.
nearly all NBA players are tall....

*Transfer tidbits *

- Bayern Munich have reportedly submitted a €80m bid for Leroy Sane... If the move falls through, Onyekuru deal mayn't materialize...

- Sheyi Ojo has signed a 5 year contract extension with Liverpool... to be loaned out soon .rangers likely to be the next destination

- Should Shaqiri leave Liverpool this summer, Chukwueze has been penciled down as the number replacement....

I've never believed Onyekuru's link with Bayern Munich. His agent have a way they wip up links with big clubs. They played this game to perfection when they linked him to PSG and he signed for Everton. I think, the link to Bayern will see him land in a decent club, not Bayern.

Yes, Zaccala is surely below 20.
The annoying thing is seeing people trying to defend this fraud.
We agree they are already in the competition but we should stop seeing this age cheating as a norm.

I've always known the Onyekuru to Bayern gist to be a lie, cos it's only reported by Nigerian news media.

Lemme just sit down and observe

The only bright side for me is that zaccala guy. For him to have broken into the team, despite his small frame, shows that his very good and they couldn't just ignore him

he's one for the Future

I learnt an Under15 programme was set up 4 years ago "To discover new talents". Are they trying to tell us that the programme has failed us? Why set up a programme for u15s when you will end up using over 30s for an u20 competition. This country ehn!

Thank you my sister. How can he say the only Bright side is taking a 17 years old player to an U20 WC. undecided

Me I am already looking forward to seeing him at the 2021 WYC as he may not likely get game time in this one. We don't even have a goalie with the present U17.

Abeg don't mention Ghana here, they are worse!
Dominic Adiyiah was already with two kids before that tournament.

Guinea too are still trying. They have participated in most of the recent U17 WCs, post MRI introduction. Asides Ghana, Brazil and Argentina too have also been greatly affected. It has even helped Nigeria the more, meaning we didn't really need to cheat in the first place.

exactly...
laziness and greed mostly on the part of the coaches and officials do make us cheat..
same with this under 20 tourney...
we don't need any oldies to help us win...
go round the country and pick the best players.... within the age range..
assemble them... later call up some foreign born players with in same age willing to play for us to create a large pool of players to choose from.

Nigeria is so blessed with human resources..a country of over 200M just residing in Nigeria alone... let alone other Nigerians in the diaspora...

Nigerians anywhere be it in the US and Europe do have a soft spot for this country...

it is just so unfortunate...

Egbon maintenance culture gini?
someone do steal the money meant for the maintenance....
someone somewhere already citing with his gangs to steal this money as soon as provisions are made for them.

corruption is gradually killing this country..
thank God for the current EFCC management that are fighting the scourge...especially internet fraud.

Thing is, when the bill for maintenance is put up, Government feels " there's not much political benefit from maintaining this OR there are more pressing needs etc "

We really don't need tens of stadium (full complexes) in this country (That's why I trample on ideas like "let's have in the six geopolitical zones)

it is good they're tackling it..

all over Benin many youths now see it as hurstle. the past EFCC chairmen/woman especially farida and lamorde where almost useless not to indulge in curbing it.

mind you..if you're into a legit business that has to do with international trading partners you will understand better what internet fraud have done to Nigeria reputation world wide..

no one seems to trust us any more... you can't relate with foreign firms and individuals without fear of them getting doped.

Corruption is not nearly the chiefest reason for poor maintenance
