There is no none risk whatsoever. It is the most ideal situation, if you ask me. I just sowed my peppers in cocopeat mixed with NPK 15:15:15 as well as others in Coco peat mixed with soil and dried chicken manure and they both germinated

How do one curtail the stress of transplanting so that the new environment isn't totally strange to the plant? More so, please what are precautions to be taken when transplanting?

Transplant later in the evening after exposing them to sunlight for 4-5 days before transplanting and use compost tea to water the plants.

Compost tea is just manure mixed with water. Remember, don’t let the tea touch the leaves of the plant bc it will kill them. It contains too much Nitrogen

50 grams of pepper (average 10,000 seeds) in pre n[sub][/sub]ursery,it was a tough choice doing pre nursery or nursery straight on the ground, later experience and common sense prevailed,we are lucky and glad we did the pre nursery because 4 days after the seed was sown it rained heavily from 7pm to 2am,and again 2 days later it rained again like that,if we choose the easy way of making the nursery direct on the ground it could have been a disaster, because the rain was so heavy it will carry the seeds away, also for 6-7 days now the soil is damp, the pre nursery helps to effectively control the weather,u can cover or even take it indoors if weather is unfavorable,if it stays 2 weeks it will be transferred to the main nursery and spaced accordingly,it's more labour but it's worth it,we had 70% germination and it's still germinating.

You don't need to post and repost, your message was understood. I have heard similar story from 3 different people, that's why i don't advice people to buy the 5g sathcet of avenir, I think it's having problem though the 50gram is expensive but if you have someone to share with it's better.the germination is up to 80percent. Thanks
Where can one get the common open variety?

Insect Manure At N5,000 Per Ton. Never Use Poultry Litter Or Dung Again

Good day,

We have Black soldier fly (BSF) larvae frass, aka manure, called NatSoil available for sale. It’s an excellent organic fertilizer with chitin that deters pest and thus acts as a natural pesticide. It has no odor and contains all the vital nutrients for plants (see attached analysis for dried variant).

Please contact me on WhatsApp 08176499981 or on sales@magprotein.ng . Our factory is based in Epe.

Price is N5 per kg. Minimum order 2tons. Pick up from Epe.

Description and use.

Our product NatSoil is a 100% organic fertilizer and soil amendment that acts primarily as a rich soil conditioner and pesticide. It is derived locally from the digestate of the black soldier fly larvae. It is rich in essential nutrients such as;
• Nitrogen: 31.5g/Kg
• Phosphorus: 7.9g/Kg
• Potassium: 3.41 g/Kg

Made from insect exoskeletons and excrement, NatSoil is full of beneficial microbial life and chitin – the substance that sets NatSoil apart from other fertilizers. Chitin stimulates the plant's defence response leading to increased resistance to pests and disease, replenished microbe populations and boosted yields at harvest.
NatSoil also has “chitosan”, when applied foliarly, will protect plants from powdery mildew, and botrytis and other fungal disease. In summary, NatSoil is a natural fertilizer and has the following benefits for plants and crops:
o Promotes early plant growth and seed inoculant
o Beneficial microbes for plant growth and production
o Improved growth compared to competing products
o Low C/N ratio that promotes rapid mineralization and faster nutrient release
o 1 to 2% addition rate into soils and potting mixes
o Water soluble and can be used in hydroponics and fertigation
o Contains chitin and chitosan
o No odour
o Not a pesticide or fungicide, will not bring new insects into your garden or farm o Improves soil organic matter, soil condition and crop yields
Utilization
NatSoil can be used in the following applications;
Commercial Use - Farms, Lawns: Broadcast 5 tonnes per hectare. Incorporate into soil if possible.
Greenhouses: Incorporate 7.5 kg per cubic metre (12.5 lbs/cubic yard) of container medium.
Home Use - Urban Gardens, Established Plants, Lawns: Incorporate 2.5 kg per 10 square metres (5 lbs/100 sq ft) into soil prior to planting. Apply 2.5 kg to soil surface after seedlings have emerged.
Containers - Incorporate 15-20 mL per litre (1–11⁄2 tbsp. in 4 cups) of planting mix. Frequency
Applications may be repeated after 8 weeks.
Available in 50kg bags

the two are different varieties of fresh pepper, shombo is finger like and deep reddish,it's used mostly by moi moi producers, while rodo is roundish and can come in any color from deep red to yellow,it is widely used and the most demanded,in terms of yield a good rodo variety will give more than shombo in the short term, but given the fact that the shombo pepper we planted produced for 2 years it will yield more in the long term, another strange thing we discovered about shombo is that it's resistant to all diseases that levelled our rodo farm.

if it has any effect all of us should have been dead long ago, because without these chemicals it's impossible to grow vegetables in the tropics, the humidity and temperature helps everything to grow to the next level including weeds, insects, fungal and bacterial issues, even all of those chemicals sometimes can not kill some insects like leaf miner and whitefly.
.
How do you tackle whiteflies? That pest is bad.

my brother, there somethings you don't even wish to happen to your enemy, whitefly and leaf miner in cucumber and red spider mites iand fruit borers in garden egg,I laugh when I read some people talking about organic insecticide,I still wonder how it can be used on let's say 1acre of cucumbers infected with whiteflies,it's obvious the farmer will die from inhaling the baking soda, garlic, pepper and neem oil mixture before the insests.

Once the peppers have enough nutrients to feed on, prunning might have little or no effect on the fruits size.

Honestly, the most reliable way of fighting whiteflies is biological ways i.e Organic means. Using Neem based pesticides is very efficient compared to applying all sorts of inorganic chemicals which eventually becomes useless.

I have tried it and still use neem oil in my tomato garden. It is very efficient and reliable for me.
Nevertheless, another thing is planting resistant varieties to TYLCV and other diseases you intend addressing.

Nice bro! TYLCV is as the result of white flies. if you can eradicate it, you have less of that disease. But are you sure you can handle whiteflies organically on like 3 plots? I gat to pick your idea of neem if it really works, but hmmmmmm.....

The are still aphids and thrips. These two are the other bastards. They are tiny demons thst send farmers to village. There is Bacterial Spot Virus caused by thrips on tomatoes thst has destroyed over 50 000 acres in the US. No solution until tolerance cultivars were made.
