sleekysoft:Because if it were to be MBA or Msc comp, or any other course with the special fees, you would have paid between 10k to 20k CAD extra.. If not for career progression ish with the VOs, most people would gladly pick a course like yours. |

abelorode: Based on the information provided above, Your agent messed up the whole application. Although VOs do make errors and atimes some come to abrupt decisions but remember that not just one VO will look at the application and definitely it will still go through final review before decisions are been made. Now, do you know that I strongly go against using agent. Reason because they mess up applications and whatever the result maybe they will walk away with the huge deposit given to them. Do you know there’s possibility of the agent putting a minor in your application who you don’t know but may have collected money from the client. Moreover, if it is successful you won’t know because all applications may depend on each other but are treated differently. Do you know some agents are one this thread, they come and learn them make money out of it. People will always fall for them, even if they know something like this thread even exist. those are the desperate and non chalant applicants who just believe money can do everything. If you don’t want to use them again try to stylish ask them of what they submitted for you or you wait for like a year before you submit another application because a lot of things could change in ones life within or after 12months. Let’s be realistic. Try to put up a convincing application and all will be fine. 3 Likes |

[quote author=Oganammuo post=78821451]Pls all the gurus in the house, help me with this question. I am working with my HND accounting. Masters is a must in my field for promotion and other incentives. I've been brousing and realise that no matter how high my cgpa is, I can't be admitted into Canadian uni for masters in accounting. I have two options: 1yr PGD or 2yrs PGD. Now choosing Iyr PGD, so I can come back and use it to enrole into masters in Nigeria. Or 2yrs PGD, which is more convincing cos my aim is to obtain masters? Can I progress to masters in Canada after completing a PGD program with HND cert? |

Finally guys I got the response but was a refusal. See below. " I am refusing your application on the following grounds. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary residents, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR. Base on your financial assets and financial status." Now I need your advice because I intend to reapply. Closing balance on my account was 1.8m while the sponsor which is my husband is 10million + The only assets I included was the land document of me and my husband. Please all suggestions will be appreciated. |

Obehi44:Sorry about your refusal, the funds in your account and that of your sponsor, was is it lump sum deposits? How is the inflows and outflows? Was your sponsor's account corporate or personal, did you show evidence for the sources of these funds? Before you reapply, try to get your gcms note for details, thank God the only refusal reason is on the ground of finance and personal asset which you can easily fix in your next application. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Mudicua: 7:13pm On May 29, 2019 |
Hi Sis, I am so sorry to hear about your refusal. I know exactly how you are feeling right now, and it is okay to feel sad, but do not feel dejected or frustrated. Now you need to order your GCMS notes to know exactly why you were refused, and then re-apply addressing the issues raised by the VO. Though it says financial assets and financial status, but a GCMS notes can give better insight. I would suggest you look at what you have between you and your hubby and then compare with the expenses of the school, also bearing in mind that you have a child. Do you have scholarship from the school? If no then you should bear in mind that the VO may be expecting to see enough funds to cover you and your child (if accompany you) and also have enough left for your hubby. Do not rush to apply. order your notes, and also start to address the situation as much as you can before your GCMS notes come in... in about 30 days. Shalom! Obehi44: |

Approved!!! Online application Applied 3/6/2018 Biometric 5/6/2018 Medical 25/2/2019 Passport request 3/4/2019 Passport received 19/4/2019 My husband got admission into university of Alberta for his masters, he applied for study visa and I applied to accompanying him. We traveled on the 23rd/4/2019 to Canada. I was 38 weeks pregnant (9 months plus) then, I made up my mind to travel and God on my side the journey was very smooth!! There was no immigration issue etc. I delivered on 3rd of this month. My baby is now Canadian citizen. Thanks for your response. Since my school starts September 3rd, I won't be able to wait for 30 days or more for a Gcms note. Now the question is are there usually difference from this point they raced for refusal than what the GCMS note will contain? Mudicua: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Obehi44: 9:18pm On May 29, 2019 |
kcosam: Thank you for your response. No it was not a lump sum deposits, it was a personal account that ran normal and smoothly with a balance of 10million + and mine was also my normal account even for my salary too. Yes I showed evidence of the source of funds as my husband had his Pay slip, employment letter etc. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Qudkom(m): 9:37pm On May 29, 2019 |
Obehi44: Sorry about your refusal. However getting your gcms note is a default thing to do. I'd like to state my initial verdict on your refusal. You are a mature applicant and the cost of study in CND in lieu to the amount available does not justify your return. We are talking about a program and living expenses in the tune of almost 7million yearly. And apparently maybe your husband didn't show proof of future financial earnings to justify his ability to meet up future expenses. Also your employment condition is also a huge factor. In your next application you need to show more financial prowess and economic and financial ties to Nigeria in the form of; Personal bank deposits, bonds, and stocks and any other financial assets you can compile. A piece of land does not compel you to return. Perhaps you should explain vividly what you intend to do with the land; Agriculture, future office, warehouse etc. I am really interested in your application and I hope you figure it out and use your resources to good use. Remember apply caution and dont look desperate in your next application. All the best. 3 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Qudkom(m): 9:41pm On May 29, 2019 |
Oganammuo: It's difficult progressing into Msc. Program with and hnd certificate. Your best route towards a masters degree program is a Post baccalaureate diploma program. A post baccalaureate program is a bridge between the bsc credits you are lacking and a potential msc program should you come out in flying colours. I will also advise you to seek the institutions admission department so they can guide you accordingly. All the best. |

The people applying for work permit are people going for programs where work is an essential part of the curriculum. For instance, for my program, 50% of the curriculum entails working in an asset management company which is compulsory for all students. Hence, were were advised to apply for a co-op work permit alongside our study permit. This does not weaken my application in the sense that the VO would think I won’t come back. It’s merely a part of the program requirement. OptimusPrime21: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sillysassysally(f): 9:53pm On May 29, 2019 |
I don’t think there’s any need for you to complicate things. If you program has asked you to apply for a co-op work permit, it means that the work is an essential part of the educational program itself. For instance, imagine an international student going for a 5-year engineering course where in the student would have to seek industrial placement in his 4th year. That industrial placement is part of the curriculum and part of the students grade. The student does not have to explain the work. He only has to explain his academic plan in the context of his visa application. Hence, you don’t have to start mentioning the work thingy so as not to complicate matters. It is part of your academic program akanbijm: |
