Bikonu, i have question. The last visas we were given, we haven't used it and I'm not sure we will use it this year sef. It expires March next year (i think).
If we don't use it at all, do you think it will affect our chances of renewal when we need to get them renewed? |

What will s/he tell the VO s/he is doing for 6 months? Exactly, in the US people can not afford to be away for 6 months whether as an employee or an employer . |

Good day everyone!
Please I need info about my sister traveling intent. She's about applying for a visit visa and she intends to go/travel during the next long school vac since she's working in a post primary school here in Nigeria.
There're two options available for her invitation and stay there for the short visit. An uncle, who's been staying in the States since the late seventies but has been coming to Nigeria almost every year but recently retired as the Head of a School there, and her friend who's a PR holder who got there through Visa Lottery Program. Both are home owners in the US. They are ready to give her invitation, accommodate her during the short stay and even financially too, if need be.
I want to know which of these two people invitation would be best for her so we know the one to go for. Or is it possible for the two of them to work together on her case to make it easier?
Forgive me, I don't know much about this traveling stuff. She's quite older than me but I'm her 'guide' |

If she intends to travel during the next long vac, then she should apply as soon as possible. When are the next available appointment dates sef? Secondly, invitation letters are not as important as travel history and ties to Nigeria. What's her travel history like? (even though that is not the major determining factor....i got my first U.S visa on a virgin passport ). Are her ties to Nigeria strong enough to show the V.O that she will come back to Nigeria? id911: Good day everyone!

Hi all, Please is this Invitation a red flag
My friend, "an American" is willing to give me an invitation letter to visit the US. I want to take it but afraid cos it's a pure American that is giving me the invitation letter. Though it is a genuine friendship. Do the VOs need to know who issued u an invitation? And if it's a pure American, is it a red flag for denial? |

Omega30: .I think B1 is not just for Conference/ Seminar bro: The holder of a B-1 visa, or a person travelling for business without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program, may undertake any one of the following activities:
Attend business or professional conferences or conventions Consult with business associates Negotiate contracts Purchase goods or materials Appear as a witness in court trials Undertake independent research
Travelers entering the U.S. under the B-1 classification may not perform productive work or accept paid or unpaid employment. Copied from US embassy and consulate site There was nothing about working on behalf of his company during the Visa Interview. 1 Like |

No one is advised at this time or any time stall to stay 6 months straight unless pregnancy related (that VO, was infomed).dont stay 6 months, don't use agents.

Well done and congratulations. Your interview was also on-point. No unnecessary elaboration unless you were asked. And you answered well enough. But importantly, you have very strong ties.
Apparently the lade would have wondered why you would abandon a program in which you have invested 5 years, with just 2 years to go. For me, i think that's the major deciding factor. You answers also validates the fact that you seem to have your plan clearly thought out.
All the same, the God factor is important. All the best bros. 4 Likes |

Hello Guys,
I just got an appointment Interview for US VISA, a friend studying for his doctorate degree in the US invited me but i am sponsoring myself as i have a good job here in Nigeria and a family of 2.
This is the first time i will be going for an interview but I have traveled to China about 4years ago (Spent 4 months in china), sponsored by the Chinese embassy. I have a new passport as the one i used to travel to china already expired.
