Yes, the next long vac is around August, that's why she should start her application process as soon as possible.

Yes, the dates would pop up when applying but the earliest appointment date might even be as far as July sef. Or there might not be dates available (I've heard of cases like that)...that's why she should start now.

Like i said, travel history might not be the main determining factor. Let her work on her ties to Nigeria and her confidence when answering questions as well.

Thanks for your reply Sir. The next long vac should be around August or so. Is it too late now for her to start the process? She has no travel history. I don't know about the appointment dates...was thinking appointment date would pop up when applying or is it different?

Aaah! Really? We didn't travel anywhere ooo. I guess we should start making travel plans then.

Yes I believe it will affect your application unless you've travel a bit to other countries apart from U.S within that 2 yrs.

Lagos has gotten to October if not further. I guess the visa will be for Christmas or next year

Nope. I personally know two persons. One had 3x multiple that's over a period of 6 years. The other 2x multiple. Never used. They were issued visa.

Purpose of trip to China
Who sponsored
Why did you stay for whole months
What were you doing while there
Any evidence to back up why you stayed for 4 months
What happened to your job in 9ja while you were away
I trust the discussion will likely be why you stayed 4 months
Prepare yourself, hand everything to God and read these thread between 1 and 3,you will learn alot
i don't think those questions are necessary

If she intends to travel during the next long vac, then she should apply as soon as possible. When are the next available appointment dates sef?

Secondly, invitation letters are not as important as travel history and ties to Nigeria. What's her travel history like? (even though that is not the major determining factor....i got my first U.S visa on a virgin passport ).

Are her ties to Nigeria strong enough to show the V.O that she will come back to Nigeria?

Some consular doesn't even ask for ties ,jobs or salary before denying applicants visa and issuing visas

Of course you have a problem. If your earliest interview date is in October, how can you travel in August?

Pretty sure the 16 year old is in school or at least isn't done with their education. That is a tie.

you think so, my mum younger sister is a business woman(buy clothings from turkey, Dubai, China and etc),a particular time she went to U.K and ddnt get the correct info on massive sales, she stayed back for a while waiting for sales while also visiting friends accumulating total stay to be 59 days, went for U.S interview and all the VO focused on was why she stayed 3 months in the U.K. VO wasnt convinced and she was denied, second interview almost focused on same subject, now she was ableb to genuinely convince VO and visa was approvedstaying 4 months in any of those countries that Nigerians migrate to is a red flag

Hi all,
Please is this Invitation a red flag

My friend, "an American" is willing to give me an invitation letter to visit the US. I want to take it but afraid cos it's a pure American that is giving me the invitation letter. Though it is a genuine friendship. Do the VOs need to know who issued u an invitation? And if it's a pure American, is it a red flag for denial?

Pls someone should reply

Yes I recalled last month after the dropbox process was taking too long and i had to travel.I called their customer care and was given the appropriate email address to send my details to.I sent the email on a Thursday morning and by close of work on Friday the next day,I got an sms that my passport had been returned to DHL.I eventually got my passport back on Monday morning since DHL had already closed by the time I got the sms on Friday. quote author=mizGene post=78828020]Has anyone ever done a passport recall after dropbox? How long did it take to get your passport back?[/quote]

Is there a current range figure one must receive a month to enable the VO approve Visa?

As is it now, have registered for a conference holding November 20 - 21. But I don't know if my monthly pay will convince the VO. And d pay is around 195k - 200k monthly

Please I want to know, cos I want to apply for Visa this week. Thanks

what are your ties
Married, single, children, good job? All of these might not count but they are important as they are criteria. Read thread 1 to 3 to learn more, we are here to assist in the best possible ways. If this trip isn't important /urgent then I advise you build travel history, apply for other visas(U.K for instance, you might not even go to the U.K b4 U.S application) or visit one or two places(dubai, african countries and etc),you're only increasing your chances to further convince the VO. In my case I had gone to 16 countries (all na official trips o, sponsored by office)b4 applying for U.S visa,so my interview lasted only 2-4mins,am not saying you must have that much travel experience but increase your chances while you also need to remove desperation mindset, carry the not do or die mindset, while you have goal set out. Discuss it less with people around you to reduce tension and them placing you under unnecessary fear.don't use agent, don't forge documents, dont misrepresent info, all of these will hurt in future applications, commit application to God and best of luck.
