Hi everyone. Please I am new to the NSE. I took my edividend mandates to GTB last week Wednesday as directed by my stock broker. Please how do I know if they have submitted it to the registrar? Secondly, is margin trading / CFD allowed in NSE? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Breadfruit: 4:48pm On May 30, 2019 |
Hello all. Kudos on the good job so far. I tried to submit my edividend form to United Securities today and they were saying I have to get a Cscs stock transfer form as I bought from the secondary market, bla bla. They are the first to tell me all this Engrish o. I have filled several mandates without issues and have been enjoying my tashere dividends quietly. Please what is the way forward? |

Deadlytruth: Was just pulling his leg. I understand perfectly. The kind of feeling you have when you see a stock hitting the rooftop right in your presence in a matter of hours and you have your money sitting in your bank account with nothing in your trading account. That pains you like you have lost the entire money. However, if the market is red and red while your money is on your bank account, you kinda sence an overinflated ego and self accomplishment and self pleasing like you are Mr Market who knows and sees tomorrow and have averted some financial tragedy. 3 Likes |

Breadfruit: This is because they dont have a specimen of your signature. Contact ur brokers and sign the forms tell them the shares and registrar you need if for. Follow up till they tell you they've sent |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Breadfruit: 6:48pm On May 30, 2019 |
ukay2: atilla: But I already took the forms to my bank for banker's confirmation of signature. The bank stamped on the form and I took it back home and scanned it to United Securities. The thing is, I don't understand what United Securities want me to do further. Do I call my brokers and tell them I need CSCS stock transfer form? But the stocks are already in my portfolio. Why is United Securities different,? |

Breadfruit:Guess this is just USLs process. The bank confirmed your signature for the account number you gave them. Call your brokers and tell them they can even email it to you. It's the simple and fast way going forward so u dont delay your funds 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 9:46pm On May 30, 2019 |
locodemy:United securities is just a horrible registrar. All these huddles are deliberate attempts at frustrating shareholders in a bid to ensure the continuos increase in unclaimed dividends. I want to believe that one way or the other, they benefit from these things. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Breadfruit: 11:12pm On May 30, 2019 |
locodemy: I appreciate your answer but I do not appreciate your condescending statement of "you people don't listen". I truly did not understand because I have been getting dividends for a long time now and this is the first time I'm hearing I cannot get my dividend because I bought from secondary market. I'm not a robot that will move mindlessly at any instruction, would have called but their customer service doesn't exactly have the best reviews. Was just seeking clarification. Nonetheless, thank you for your help. |

Breadfruit: See my oga, for united securities... 1. tell your stockroker to send you a copy of their cscs shares transfer form which you will print out and sign (same as your regular bank account signature) a single place in the transferee's signature column ONLY. 2. You will then scan (use good scanner) and send back to your stockbroker the same cscs shares transfer form you have signed at the transferee's signature column only. 3. Your stockbroker will print the sent form you sent to them and fill the remaining many spaces in the cscs share transfer form for you, then the stockbroker will send the completely filled form on your behalf to cscs. 4. The cscs will acknowledge a copy of the received share transfer form from your stockbroker. CSCS will forward the share transfer form to united securities registrar....this process usually takes minimum of 2weeks. I will advise you to ask your broker to send you the copy of the acknowledgement receipt from cscs. 5. Two weeks after cscs has received the share transfer form from your broker, you will then call united securities registrar if they have gotten your share transfer form specimen signature from cscs. 6. If they have gotten it and if they have gotten your bank account details from the e-dividend mandate form that was confirmed by your bank.....then united securities registrar will credit your account. 7. Subsequently, if you buy any other shares they have, you will not go through this processes again.....rather you will only notify them that you have this share with them if they confirm it, your e-dividend will be paid to you. These are the steps the united securities staff told me to follow, which i have done. The united securities registrar will not receive the share transfer form from you, rather only from cscs. I scanned and sent the share transfer form back to my registrar because am not in Lagos. If your in Lagos, you can go to your stockbroker and sign the share transfer form in their office and tell them to send it to cscs for onward transmission to united securities for your e-dividend to be paid to your account number you filled in their e-dividend mandate form, which your bank has confirmed. As for me, its remaining 7days to make it 14days my broker sent my transfer form to cscs for onward transmission to united securities. Thereafter, i will call them if they have received my specimen signature share transfer form from cscs. If they have not receive it, i will call cscs to know why the delay after waiting for 2 weeks. I do hope this information will help all of us in this problem.... A beg my hand de pain me for typing .....am not good in typing long sentences .....just to help all of us 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 6:50am On May 31, 2019 |
Yayira: If you already have a stock control by United securities before declaration of dividend, you don't need to process any transfer form from your broker rather you go straight to United securities to activate your e-dividend before the announcement of dividend.I think the best idea is to get at least 100 units of any stock you believe will pay good dividend and process the e-dividend before time to avoid all these stress..,..... 3 Likes |
