You can put FUTA too in your list. They have arguably one of the best department of Architecture in any Federal University in Nigeria.
To top it all, Akure is a very safe and serene place to live.
2.5hrs away from Benin and about 4hrs from Lagos.

It's safe over there as long as you maintain your lane. ( we all know no where is entirely safe in Nigeria as a whole) There is nothing to be scared of. Don't let ppl bullshit you. I also had this fear when I got my admission..The rate of crime in the North is low as to those in PH, Benue or Edo. No cultist clash like we used to hear of..well, aside the issue of insurgency over there which is not even close to Minna. I'm currently schooling in the North East (4 years now). Haven't had any issue. Just ensure you don't go into religious arguments. You will love your stay.

I stayed in Bosso all through(Agwan Biri my first year, then New York till I grad in 14) but my dept Elect/Elect was in Gidan Kwano so I was shuffling both campuses

My supposed faculty then was in Bosso. I went to Gidan Kwano once. That place far abeg.

Overall, I regretted not accepting their offer but as I don turn Statistician now, it covered for it.
