One player I won't like to see miss out of this tournament is Moses Simon. Dude has been underrated recently. He is a balanced player. His ability to track back to help the fullbacks puts him ahead of others.

The general secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mohammed Sanusi has pleaded with protesting players of the Flying Eagles not to disgrace the country overseas.

The team have insisted they will not leave Poland after they were eliminated by Senegal in a Round of 16 game Monday night until they have been paid their bonuses and allowances.

The players told SCORENigeria they are entitled to a total of $5,000-a-man being bonus for qualifying to the knockout stage of the U20 World Cup as well as their training camp allowances.

A rattled Sanusi told the foreign-based players in the team via telephone.

“The boys should come back home and they will be paid,” he begged.

“They should first come back home and not disgrace us.”

He further told the foreign-based players to make available to the team secretary their bank details as well as a letter of consent.

SCORENigeria has gathered that it is ironic this is happening when this year alone the NFF received over 3 billion Naira from various sponsorships.

The original plan was for the bulk of the team to depart for Nigeria 3am Tuesday with quarterfinalists Ukraine taking over their place at the hotel in Lodz today .
