There is no specific timeline for decision once Eligibility review starts.. Some got their Decisions (Positive and Negative) days or weeks after their eligibility review started while some got their decisions months after.. For instance My Eligibility review started AUGUST 2018 last year and up till now no decision yet.. So no specific timeline and do not try to predict the moves of these VOs, u wont succeed.. Peace.

I know this is an impossible question to answer for sure (maybe even a stupid one, lol)...

Could you be more specific as regards timeline for decision, once eligibility review starts??

It'll also help if u cud mention how long urs took from eligibility review to PPR/final decision..

Thanks

Hey Guys,

I applied on the 12th of April via paper. On the 21st of May, I received a correspondence letter. On the 22nd, I received a message from VFS that my processed passport was ready for pick up.

I went over to VFS the next day, got my package and received only my passport. No refusal letter. My online account is on eligibility review.

I have been sending an e mail to Nairobi but no response yet. I have ordered for GCMS.

What to do next?

This simply shows how inefficient the Nairobi immigration officers are in handling applications. Why will a visa officer return a passport without including a reason for the denial... In this recent time, I have noticed that it has gradually become their modus operandi as there so many applicants who are still waiting for a decision to be communicated to them after receiving the biometrics validity letter. I, therefore, recommend that you keep on sending a CSE to the Nairobi immigration office until you get a feedback with your refusal letter. You took a good step by ordering your GCMS note, this will also help you find the hidden reasons behind your refusal.

Good day house,

I applied on Feb. 22, 2019 and was refused my study permit on the 17th of May 2019.

I used an agent and did an online application. My sponsor is my uncle because I’ve lost my both parents, My sponsor tendered a BS of 10.5million. I have paid 2000CAD towards my 1st term before applying.

He’s a businessman. Money comes in and goes out every time.

REASON: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. ONLY

I had to defer my admission till Sep 2019. I have received another admission letter from school, so now I want to reapply.

Docs. Submitted

* 3 IMM forms
* NYSC discharge certificate 2018
* I.T discharge certificate 2016
* Payment towards 1st term receipt from Memorial University
* University Certificate 2017
* Birth Certificate
* Aceptance Letter from Memorial University
* Passport Data page
* Admission Letter from Memorial University
* my uncles company and allied matters
* Certificate of Incorporation
* Survey Plan
* Deed of Ownership
* SOP
* Letter of sponsorship

PLEASE FRIENDS HELP ME I NEED TO REAPPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, WHAT CAN I DO?

also, is paper application best and faster or online?

THANKS

It my sound weird but re defer your admission to January. Don't rush your next application. You cant solve "Personal asset and finance" in a few weeks. You need to plan accordingly and know the best way forward without looking desperate. I know it hurts and you feel agitated but please calm down and make a comprehensive plan and not a plan based on frustration.

By the way I can't see any documents that points out to your work experience or whatsoever.

I regret to hear your study visa/permit was refused. Pardon me to say that from my point of view, your application wasn't well packaged and prepared. The generic reason highlighted by the visa officer Personal Assets and financial status wasn't the factual reason behind your refusal. However I see the reasons coming from your sponsor and your purpose of visit.

First and foremost before I proceed in proffering solution to your refusal, permit me to ask you some questions which include the following;

1-)You said your uncle was your sponsor, how did you establish the proof of relationship b/w both of you?

2-) What evidence did you show as proof of history or ongoing financial support from him?

3-) What was his reasons for sponsoring you abroad considering that local options would be cheaper for him being that he is a third party?

4-) What have you done to deserve such benefit from him ?

5-) Was he (uncle) able to certify the visa officer that you would never pose to be a burden to his immediate family, personal welfare and business during the course of your studies in Canada?

6-) What does your uncle stand to gain as a result of this sponsorship?

7-) Since uncle is using a cooperate/business account as prime proof of financial support did uncle include a dully signed board resolution letter which would state that they are aware of this sponsorship and approves it?

8-) Was there any assurance from uncle that funds will be made available during subsequent years of study without working and no recourse to public funds?

9-) Did you at any given time in your application, include a family tree which will substantively show how your uncle and parents are related and how the relationship was linked to your immediate generation?.

I ask all of those questions because I noticed you submitted an empty application that gave the visa officer the impression that your sponsor (uncle) is not a genuine one that will finance your stay in Canada and that you will not have full access to funds presented in your application. Thus, the visa officer didn't look side ways before refusing your application.

Provide answers to the aforementioned questions, do the needful and you will be fine in your next reapplication. Success!

Guys , pls, a friend of mine contacted some agents to apply for his permit and during the process . The agents never asked him if he's been refused visa for any country b4 and it appears the agents filled No for that part in the IMMM form . Whereas, dude has been refused USA visa b4.
So, he said the embassy sent a mail that he should respond to the allegation of "withholding vital info .....blah blah blah " within 7 days and the agents still told him they will sort it out that he shouldn't bother .
What I don't know is weda or not the agent lodged the application in a representative capacity .

At the end of the day , my guy was banned for 5 years .
Pls, what's the way forward as sin of agents is being visited on innocent applicant .

Bracha, frankrobbn1, makano (my man ) qudcom @mcobex and other gurus on this forum

... I strongly doubt if the 5 years ban can be averted at this point in time after applicant has been served a procedural fairness letter to explain himself prior the issuance of the ban...He might be lucky enough to win the case, only on the account that applicant used a compensated agent and the agent filled the representative form along with his application. For this reason, he will have to hire an experienced Immigration attorney that will file for a judicial review at the High Court of Canada and plea that the applicant's case should be reopened for reconsideration. Aside from the fact that he used an agent, I see no hope of him over turning the ban. Bear in mind that this process is cumbersome, requires your time and large sum of money. An experienced immigration attorney will charge 4000$CAD to write a letter for a case to be taken to the federal level and there is no guarantees whatsoever that the applicant will be successful at the end of everything.

I have an experienced immigration attorney in Canada, I can give the applicant the contact of the attorney so he can try and see what follows next.

@Frankrobbn1, is it safer to get a student loan from the likes of prodigy or empower to use as sponsor instead of quoting uncle which one need to go to a very large extent to proof. I think using all this loan company it will safe one the headache of proof. Correct me if my assertion is wrong Sir.

I would prefer you make use of a sponsor in Nigeria (uncle). Over my two years and above experience in the Canada study visa I have come across countless applicants who have gotten their visas with third party sponsorship (uncle, aunt, father-in-law, fiance etc..) Whilst, I can only point out three (3) applicants who were successful with a prodigy loan in Canada. If you plan using a loan within Canada, you must show that you/family are capable and well off in Nigeria to pay off the loan upon your return to Nigeria i.e you will need a strong financial source of income that will offset the cost and investment of the loan in Nigeria.

Honestly I dnt knw what to say.. The embassy gave him 7 days grace to explain the misinterpretation, he didn't respond to that.. And he ended up getting a 5 years ban.. The deed has been done bro, this is one of the many disadvantages of using agents, these people are just after your money and nothing more... A normal professional agent should have asked him if he has been refused visa anywhere before since he knows that question will be asked when applying.. Personally speaking, I don't see the magic he wants to do to revert that ban.. Except say he sabi BUHARI, OSIBANJO, TRUMP or Queen Elizabeth.. Other peeps that have overturned a Canadian 5 years ban can give solutions tho.. Peace
thanks baba.... see you tomorrow Sir

Please House, I need your help. I want to apply to further my education in Canada and I don’t want to go through any agent. I have lower credit in Computer Engr (HND). I’m through with my NYSC. Can I apply for Masters program and what are my chances and how do I go about it. Thank you
Not trying to discourage you, but I don't think you can get a Master's admission with HND(LOWER), maybe diploma or cert courses or bachelor's.

Your elder brother can certainly be a sponsor to your study visa/Permit application. He needs to present documents to evidence his source of income e.g Self-employed ----- CAC certificate and other business related documents. Assuming he is gainfully employed he would tender his employment letters, payslips, promotion letters, salary increment letter (if any), work ID etc.. His birth certificate and yours should be submitted with your application to show proof of relationship.
