I can categorically confirm the on board computer is padding my fuel consumption stats, by my own estimation i used 25-27 litres of fuel for that movement.

It depends on the model of the engine. All Mercedes don't carry same engine so the price of a w202 engine will be different from w203. Same with transmission and other suspension parts. But when replaced, it will last longer than some other brands even when it's expensive.

I think suspension parts are the most expensive because it happens almost all the time.
Especially front suspension parts.that is the price we pay for all that turning advantage.
For engine replacement,most mercs engine and transmission hardly fail but when they do,it is usually expensive,especially forced induction,small displacement but high bhp output ones.
Most of Merc big engines(except AMGs) are often relatively affordable since it hasn't got demand(they hardly fail/get destroyed beyond repair)
However for the seven gear auto Merc transmissions,when they fail,it cost a lot to replace them as compared to the 5 speed counterparts and are more prone to failure!
That's my 2 cents.
