If the online job is transcription, data entry or writing related service, you should consider your education. However, if you're skilled in other professional fields such as graphics design, data science, or data analysis, focus on your skill.

Skill, work experience, plus money in the bank will take you places and get you any degree of your choice eventually.

You may also consider accredited online short courses (credible ads are all over the place onlin) since your hustle keeps you online. In 1-2 years, you can gather around 5 certified foreign certificates with licenses all in your comfort zone.

I tell you bruv, no BSc holder will come close to your worth in the marketplace.

That job he's doing pay pass sch certificate is too overrated here in 9ja.. Certi wey be poo compared to other great countries
wman:
Your certificate is something that can never be taken from you. It could open great doors for you in the future. You might use it abroad or even in Nigeria to earn millions or get a Federal appointment.

You don't know tomorrow. Life is more than a few hundreds of thousands. You can earn much more. You'll find so many adults wishing that they took the opportunity they had to go to school.

School broadens your perspective and enlightens you. You meet s lot of intelligent people and your outlook on life changes.

Plus you get a lot of options after school. Not just limited to one business.

If you're literate enough I'll advice you to continue building your empire. You're mistaken education for certificate sir. You can acquire certificate at anytime of your life but that money may be difficult for you to get in the future because the opportunity might not present itself again in the future. But make sure you keep on educating yourself continuously, education is beyond going to school acquiring certificates. The skill you possessed is part of education as well, just make sure you're literate. And make sure you read for at least 1hour per day, it'll help you acquire knowledge on a long run which is the true definition of education.

Get both, firstly, we need to purge that idea that education leads to having money, education is to make you refined and all, i have seen some guys with money but no education having inferiority complex when among guys that has.. so brother pursue both..

Quick edit : which work you dey do wey dey bring you 100k for 2 weeks, dont want to sound like a pessimist or bad belle as people like to term people that ask reasonable question. Because i come dey think say this story be like bombing format... once you reply then bulling start.. what do i know.

Good morning nairalanders

Plz I really need ur advice,i opened a thread last year whether to focus on my skill or continue with education where I got different response to continue with education but now I'm thinking in a different way.
My skill is still there which i'm unable to use here in school, but I found out another source of income(which is LEGIT) but this source clashes with my time table in school

I have to be online from 1:00pm-11:00pm (which is 7:00am-5:00pm over there but sometimes I might jst be online for 3-4hrs and still make better stuffs and jst log out ) to be able to a meet up with things.

I did this last month not up to two weeks and I'm able to make more than 100,000 which i'm very happy
So my main concern now is that is it advisable for me to leave school and focus more on this stuff I'm doing (I'm in 100l and we are in our second semester and lecture started last week which handicapped me from doing this work)

Because it is very impossible for me to be in the lecture hall and be running this stuff because i'm already concluding that I shd jst leave this sch and go rent a small apartment and continue this work I'm doing
So Plss ADVICE is urgently needed for me to know the path to follow so as not to regret later

I have two advice for u

1. Drop out of school and focus on ur business, but d money u are going to make do not eat it, save it in your second bank account

2. Do not drop out of school, but focus on your business, and use some of the money gotten from your business to bribe lecturers in order to pass exams

But if I may ask, are u into forex? Binary option? Volatility index?

You are in school so you can get a certificate in 4 years that will enable you to work and earn money that you seem to be already earning?
Now you are earning the money already and the activities are clashing with School and you dont know what to do?

Think about it. If something can give you 100k in two weeks as a newbie envision what you will achieve as you progress and do it for a long time. Use your head young man...

Focus on that hustle as long as its long term. You are still young, go back to school later ...When you make enough money from what you are do I g you can even go abroad where you will have and experience true education..

Mind you Education is not limited to going to school. Topic for another day

Anybody telling you to ignore your work that pays you as much as 200k a month for school is a very big joker!

The majority of Nigerians after graduating stay jobless and go broke while others earn peanuts with all their degrees and start building their income all over again from the scratch.
I wonder why people forget that we live in a country where only a tiny percentage of graduates get a decent well paying job.

The best you can do as one said is to defer your admission for a session and see how things go with your online job. If it continues paying off hugely, try to control your expenses and save enough money to seek part time admission. But leaving your online job must never be an option.

Do you know this online business end to end? Are you aware of all of the risks involved? In any business, there is a buy side, and a sell side. Are you aware of the dealings on your side? On the other side? I see people mention dangote etc on this thread, but the truth is, they know everything about the industry they do business in. If you do, then by all means, do what you wish. If you don't, stick to school.

Very candid advise, everybody want to work but nobody want to create job we rely heavily on government for job creation. Some who have aspire to be creator of jobs end up being in the labour market because of the power of their certificate which do not allow them to think outside the box.

Bro, honestly speaking, you can still do both by
1) Getting a serious minded person in your department and contracting the person to help you with school work e.g assignments, notes, handouts e.t.c and you can do your reading later after your work for tests and exams which you'll sit by yourself and if your lecturers accept bribes then you can key into that too, just to make sure you are secured.

2) Employing someone to keep an eye on your online work while you're away in school (i've done this before tho) and pay the person an agreed amount, remember this certificate journey is just for 4 years+ , so it's worth it.

One last thing, i'll seriously like to know this your Online skill cos i'm interested, pls check ur inbox.

If you online business is RELIABLE. Dump the fucking school and scale up your business. And make shit load of money. I would rather be a rich school drop out than be a poor graduate. You can always have the chance to go to school but you may not always have the oppurtunity to make money...

this country is so fuçkup that frustration can make a degree owner to accept anything as salary just to survive . most people degree always end up wasting because after school, there is no one to engage them and they become inactive and frustrated and you know too much inactivity can make one to become useless.
rushing into school just to rush out so you can be call a graduate is not the way
.agreed but it's always better to have a plan B (a degree) than relying on self sustainance alone. Nigeria isn't a developed country like America , Canada , Russia or China .. I always advise youths to not follow the Steve jobs dropped out of school model or Zuckerberg left Harvard because those countries share talent alone can take you places and as long as you have a novel idea you can make billions on these countries not same can be said about Nigeria .

For goodness sake jobberman is bankrupt.. that's a case study for Nigerian start ups .. or look at konga or property. ng

These are all good case studies .. Nigeria is the only country where dreams die first
