Yet another bone-headed rant that is long on polemics and short on facts! Anyhow, let me try respond to the little that made sense, and mostly offer your beloved doomed country unsolicited advisory pro-bono. I am not sure why you're excited about Dangote refinery. The Indians and South Koreans already figured out how to cheaply refined oil. Honestly it's no game-changer even in Nigeria. Yes, it will wipe the incredible shame of Africa biggest Oil exporter being also Africa biggest Importer off your faces. I know the irony is lost on you but hopefully Dangote whose is leveraged to the gills now, doesn't sweat-talk (corrupt) Abuja and bans importation of refined fuel - because you're gonna be picking the tabs at wrong time. Who builds a refinery now - when all car manufacturers are going electric as early as 2025 and when projection are that by 2040 - Oil will be gone.Honestly if you didn't have so many problems - your first priority would be to prepare for a future without Oil. In kenya we are already nearly there - all our energy (electric) is now on renewable. We are dolling out incentive for people to buy electric cars. Today Min of Finance announced 10% lower duty for anybody who import electric car. You're late to the party. Anyway If I was Nigeria president I would prioritize 24-hrs electricity before anything. I cannot imagine the pain you guys have to go through on a daily basis. In Nairobi for the last many months - power has not gone out. In fact today I saw they just completed the first underground cabling --because we want a future where blackouts will make news. Once you're done with electricity, I would focus on education. Your generation cannot be helped. Nigeria past is gone and it's present is pretty much doomed. You only got your future to think about. You need to start from the basic. When Kenya emerged from a near similar hole in 2002 - we began from basic - we got every Kid to school. In fact it became such a success - old dying people trekked to school. One such old man was Kimani Magure - who later won awards including a movie made of him. I think if you focus on those twos - invest all the little money you now got on electricity & education- from your puny budget - you'll start crawling. If you keep focusing on GRANDIOSE projects - little cities that can only host 10K Nigerians or 1B dollar rail that can only transport 400 passengers - the results will be the same. Trust me in few years the world will be holding a conference on Nigeria if the country will still be around. The conference on how to help Nigeria because you're are gonna drag everyone down with 200M desperately poor people in it. That is all for now. With Love, From Kenya. NigeriaIsDoomed: 3 Likes |

You're illiterate. Understand Ordinary revenues (tax+A-I-D) and then check again data. 2016/2017 - KRA collected - Kshs 1.365 trillion (roughly 14B dollars) - add A-I-D(fees, license) of say 1-2B dollars - you get total ordinary revenues of 16B dollars. https://www.capitalfm.co.ke/business/2017/07/kra-misses-20162017-revenue-target-sh50bn-collecting-sh1-365tr/ As for deficit - it's coming down - we are aiming now at 5%. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

We have something called supplementary budget that deal with such issues. We cut expenses if we figure out KRA won't meet target. Our fiscal deficit is coming down. The least said about Nigeria - where BUDGET IS MADE BASED ON UNREALISTIC OIL QUANTITIES & PRICES the better https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2019-06-12/fastest-growing-african-region-banks-on-more-spending-for-growth obaaderemi: |

mtisTheQubit: And the future looks worse for Nigeria because their helpless babies are being infected more than anywhere in the world. One in every 4 babies born with HIV globally is a Nigerian. Combine that with their status as the globe's poverty capital and you get the picture. We're dealing with a megalithic HIV disaster. Too much for one country. In regard to mother-to-child HIV prevention Nigeria stands out for its slow (Tanzania-like) pace This despite Bill Gates pouring billions into Nigeria to prevent HIV. Nigerians, why are you trying to prove a HIV point? Everyone else is making progress.

mtisTheQubit:This is giving me a lot of personal concern. To be honest, there are genuine Nigerians in Ghana but the desperate ones has outnumber them and Ghana immigration authority may be ruthless now. Since the plan is to drag Ghana into the same cesspit. Ghana, the most peaceful country in west africa, fourth in Africa and 41st globally will ensure she maintain this trends. Not in Ghana now but will be in the country soon. So i can at least have a direct access to the local info instead of the online report which may be biased. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ghana Tops In Pupils’ Ability To Read Globally IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Ghana scored the highest marks in the ability of its school pupils to read in both the Ghanaian Language and English Language assessments. According to the Early Grade Reading and Math (EGRM) project implemented over a year ago in 13 countries across Africa and East Europe, Ghana topped countries such as South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Jordan and Tonga, which tested the ability of pupils in Class One and Two to read from an average of a word per minute to seven words per minute. https://www.gbcghanaonline.com/featured/ghana-tops-in-pupils- ability-to-read-globally/2019/ 4 Likes |

Obaboon, Swiss and Brits have returned peanuts to Nigeria. They returned what 320M dollars? You have at least more than 140B dollar hidden all over the world...and you're getting peanuts. You need to use your brains like we do here. Kenyans have stashed something close to 5 trillion kshs (50 billon dollars) in offshore accounts. Last three year - we offered them NO ASK NO TAX amnesty - and at least 1 trillion Kshs (10B dollars) has been returned and if we keep the policy few more years - we will get back all the money into the economy https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/Rich-Kenyans-wire-back-Sh1trn-in-offshore-banks/539546-5124514-vctcsiz/index.html Wealthy Kenyans have wired back an estimated Sh1 trillion from offshore accounts in the past three years, taking advantage of a tax amnesty offered by the Treasury. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in a response to Business Daily queries said the amount was repatriated by some 16,000 applicants who took advantage of the amnesty window during which they were not required to declare the source of their wealth or even account for previous years’ tax arrears. “We have received over 16,000 applicants with the amount repatriated so far at Sh1,014,058,103,551. The incentive was meant to encourage Kenyans to repatriate their wealth back to the country for purposes of development,” said KRA in a statement. 2 Likes |

TayserMahri:Your 3 trillions budget is just an estimation. You have a shortfall of about 600 billion ksh. Then you will spend 800 ksh ( about 8b $ into servicing your huge debts. Then there are some cash which will be lost due to massive Kenyan corruption. Then the rest won't do much since Kenya is generally more expensive than Tz. All in all, Tz small budget will achieve better results than Kenya's fictitious budget. Bagamoyo have been suspended for now.LNG will mostly done by private companies. |

How much of your budget is Omba Omba from donors. Start there. And everytime you talk bad about gays - you're gonna lose that money. I think around 20% of your budget is donor-funded. Kazikazi: 2 Likes |

rvp2018:Start first by subtracting 8b dollars to pay your huge debt. How much remain? 22b. Then remove 6b which is a shortfall.you remain with16b. Then your huge corruption must take a share of it.Then what do u have? Almost nothing 1 Like 1 Share |

it's very funny when long standing member of HIPC talk about debt.I am mean to this day WB is still babysitting yoi because you're unable to pay your debts.Kenya is a big boy that borrow and repay. You laughable maths skill aside...we have revenues of 22B plus few grants here and there that takes us 24B.We will borrow 6B and repay 6B.it balance out.its called debt refinancing .If we had unsustainable debt like Tanzania we would be depending on donors and IMF for debt relief Kazikazi: 1 Like |
