Seems like the falcons need to get a draw against France. Looks like a couple of groups might have strong 3rd place finishers. All things are possible in the game of soccer.

I doubt if the money they were paid for participating in the u-17 and u-20 afcon plus the u-20 world cup is up to $3m given where they finished...

But then if u subtract the money used to prepare the teams for the tournaments, camp allowance, winning bonus, coaches salaries, etc how much would be left?

The NFF aren't really clean but still it's pathetic for the ministry of sport to ignore them like that..
Ghana budgeted $12m(or $15m) for AFCON preparation!!
You've already sum up everything with your last paragraph.

Why should the same NFF look up to the ministry of sports for support?

Ur analogy of rohr system not favoring nacho to me is so myopic, normally when one expresses his point with gud english sentences, one will sound intelligent grin grin, but na lie...safari gave a point of him scoring 10goals under rohr, den it was favourable, because he's no longer scoring, rohr system is no longer favourable

He has played under 3different managers, pep, puel and now Rodgers...yet to u d system is not offensive enuf

Oga make we hear word,u re not plausible with ur points,it's getting absurd,is he d only player in d team

Its like saying a student who studied in University of Ibadan came out with third class, blaming d system for d failure,he took a new undergraduate course again in anoda african university, still came out with third class, tried another university in europe again, came out with third class again,is it d system u will still blame or d student?

Maybe till when nacho plays in 7different clubs/leagues, he will get d right system undecided

What Iheanacho suffered at City under Guardiola was lack of regular playing time. Not delivery. He scored sufficiently and had assists in the few games Guardiola gave him.

Rohr was braver earlier. That was when Kelechi was banging in goals. The conservative play came after the South African loss, that was after he took risks by fielding Awaziem in defence. After that, the fear came in and it has not been the same after that.

What you wrote up there does not contradict my point.

until the NFF law is officially promulgated the federation is still under the sports ministry and the federal government has the responsibility to take care of them. it will take a few years before the NFF is fully autonomous which will require legal backing. whether you like pinnick or not he has tried to reduce the financial burden on FG. instead of dalung to appreciate and partner with amaju to sort things out he's doing probe upandan just because pinnick and co probably didn't allow him get his hands on the FIFA 2018 world cup participation money. i suspected before but with the whole missing IAAF $135000 debacle i'm almost certain all this hullabaloo is because amaju no drop.

You should inform NFF about this since they want total independent.

What do you expect from the federation that you don't respect?

West Ham sign Spain talent Pablo Fornals in £24m deal, a very good player who played 35 games as an attacking midfielder with 2 goals and 3 assist

Then i think if chuks will move it will be a big move because if i can go by stats chuks had a better season than Pablo Fornals with 5 goals and 2 assists in 26 laliga games.

I am just saying sha.

This fact alone kills any argument. How can you play under three different managers and you can't perform well? Then the problem is with the player

He has played under 3different managers, pep, puel and now Rodgers...yet to u d system is not offensive enuf

Under Pep, Iheanacho had a good game to goal/assists ratio especially when it concerns amount of minutes played. Nacho is yet to have a full start under Rodgers. Yet you are making the point make look flawless while it is filled with holes.

yeah also wondering why it's close door if you are hiding tactics from opposition won't senegal be potential opposition down the line in AFCON?

Remember, The ministry wanted the friendly match going to the world cup be played in Abuja with the President in attendance to act as send off but pinnick and his crew ignored the plea and went ahead to play the match in Port Harcourt.

That was disrespectful.

Your source is false.

Iheanacho is not grossly overaged. He came through the under 13 and 15 program. His regression has nothing to do with age.

This is kelechi in 2010. 3 year before under 17

Sorry, I did not see your post.

The pitch was put in order but Pinnick ignored and went to Port Harcourt.

Pinnick acted on his own accord by taken the team to Aso rock after he had disrespected the office of the Presidency.

Now, the office of the president has unleashed.......to chase after him and at the same time left the federation to Pinnick and co fate since he is the boss.

“The minister of sports has directed that the Abuja National Stadium should to put in shape for the Nigeria and DR Congo friendly match. We are putting everything possible in place to ensure that the turf is ready on time. As you can see, the pitch is now lush green, safe for some few patches which we are working on.

“We are putting in every effort to ensure that the pitch is put in good condition to be to host the Eagles versus DR Congo match. The Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was also here to inspect the pitch and he is more favourable to playing here from the way he spoke,” an official told Complete Sports.

The Nff is now a federation by the legislation repealing decree 101. They should go full commercial and source for their money now they have ceased to be an association. Time for government free money has come and gone.

well the source you put there still says the pitch was still being worked on anyway that's neither here or there because pinnick also took them to a terrible port harcourt pitch. i still think dalung was the one causing problems after all during the giwa/pinnick leadership tussle when FIFA threatened to ban us it was the same President Buhari who was disrespected who saved the day when dalung was pouring petrol to fire

Because Guardiola wants more from his top striker than finishing. He wants high work rate and speed. He also wants his forwards doing loads of defending. Not just goals.

Balogun and Iheanacho had two completely different situations

Aside the fact that Balogun is tested and trusted in the GWG, he has also been consistent

Even with the sparse games he got in Brighton, he never disappointed. He played just 8 games and it is common knowledge that his quality was not in doubt in any of those 8. He got rave reviews every time he played. Favoritism stopped him from playing more, not quality

Kelechi, on the other hand, has been a disappointment all season and we cannot repay a woeful performance with an AFCON spot. You see that chance you are saying Rohr should have given him, he could have gotten it himself. If Owerri witches were not working overtime to kill his destiny, he should have scored that goal against City, the goal that could have helped Liverpool to the title. That was the opening he had to get the opportunity, that would have been enough to give him a 70% chance at AFCON, but when he missed it, he missed the AFCON

Rohr likes Kelechi, so accusing Rohr of not giving him a chance or whatever is petty and disappointing.

You've been going on and on about this thing and all of your arguments leave me feeling more and more disappointed. You're starting to sound desperate and ridiculous.

Kelechi is out, nobody can wail him back into the squad, he is the architect of his own misfortune. Even if Onuachu and Osimhen go to AFCON and mess up, they will still be better choices than Kelechi, because I'm not seeing what Kelechi would have done.

He isn't special. He's ordinary, and he is now becoming abysmal. I hope he finds his mojo at some point, but I'm not counting on it. He doesn't have the drive.

Let us face the AFCON and face the players in it. You and Icon79 and others that keep assuming Kelechi is still 16-years old and playing U17, need to allow us move on.

Southampton are regarded as favourites to land Spezia striker David Okereke.

The young forward is a target for Sassuolo, though they're falling behind Saints in the race for his signature.

Okereke favours a move to England and Southampton are happy to outbid all rivals to convince Spezia to sell.

Saints will offer £15m to sign Okereke, with the offer far outstripping what Serie ASassuolo can put together.

Okereke, 21, moved to Italy from Nigeria.

Since, the ministry purpose of bringing the President to the national stadium was made known to Pinnick, he ought to have respected that decision.

I don't see the ministry supporting NFF as long as Pinnick keeps disrespecting the Presidency.
