Good morning sir, pls I stumbled on this thread 30 mins ago and am shocked at my level of ignorance shocked shocked
I never knew anything called TB or MUTUAL Funds or even Fixed deposit....
I have gone back to previous pages to learn a little I can about them, pls dont be angry kindly let me know sir what I can do, I need serious financial security.

I had a bad experience with STANBIC IBTC in 2017 that made me never trust them, I dont know if it was a mutual fund or something, a neighbour took me to the bank and I was told it was an investment to pay me a high percentage after 90days.... to my uttermost dismay... after 90days... I was paid only a profit of 3540 naira... when I began to shout and get upset.... they told me that they divide the percentage by 365..... I left the bank MAD AND BITTER.... since then I have only saved money in cryptocurrencies, so AM HERE because I need a simple explanation of answer...

IF I HAVE 10MILLION NAIRA THAT I AM NOT USING, BUT WANT TO GET PROFIT FROM IT TO PAY STAFF AND PLAN FOR MARRIAGE.... WHICH OF THE OPTIONS CAN I GO FOR AND WHAT IS THE PROFIT ON EACH FOR JUST 90 DAYS.?

Pls forgive my long post.... am in sefia pain... I am just learning this now after loosing so much money to MMM, LOOM etc..

I have searched online but there is no website where I can accurately calculate ROI for any of the options listed here...

pls help... I need a clear answer, am quite ignorant in this Nigerian stuff

I know you feel cheated with whatever rate you got from Stanbic bank, but you have to let go of that feeling. Your friend introduced you to Fixed deposit which he/she have very little knowledge about.

All these bank/Fg investments are calculated per annum.

Go for TB, it's better, and please stop looking for high yield investment, more especially, the ones that have nothing to sell except for paying old members with monies of new members. It's always end in sifia pain.

To calculate your interest on 10million at the rate of 11.5% for instance

11.5/100 x 10,000,000 = 1,150,000. I.e (per annum)

1,150,000/365 = 3,150.68 (per day)

3,150.68 x 90 = 283,561.2. (For 90days)

3,150.68 x 182 = 573,424 (For 182 days)

3150.68 x 364 = 1,146,847.52. (For 364 days)

That's why I opted for I-Invest and it has been working perfectly for me despite the negativities people attributed to it.

I'm not actually getting what's trending over here......
Are you guys saying TB is better than doing business?

Business is still your best bet in Nigeria, you have 10m u invest in NTB your interest per year is around 1.2m and you think doing business wont yield more than twice of that?
The main thing is dont go into any business you know nothing about.

And to the guy saying is bad running business from abroad, forget that...... some are doing it and making it big.

Treasury bill is just upgraded savings

Oga, nobody is saying TB is Better than doing business what we are saying is, Tb gives rest of mind than taking business risk with a lot of headache. I will rather go for tb and have my peace than gambling in business with my hard earned money since I will not be there all the time to monitor things by my self. No matter how strong a dog is it can not watch over two separate houses the same time. If you can't be there your self then you have done charity for people but if you can be there your self then you are good to go am not talking theory, am talking from experience. For now am having my peace while mapping out strategies to launch out again in business but for now am ok. For tb and other investment like mmf and stocks I can have in come of 5m for a year so am ok for now than go into business and be nursing my pains again

The TBills vs. Business argument is not necessary. The money for TBills must come from a business or salary (someone else's business).

oya, in realistic terms, give a typical example of the business that can be run with 100k in 2 months that will yield higher than 1% per month.
..

thank you

The person you quoted is right to a large extent. There are lot of businesses in this country that can give you more %age yield if you do your research well in terms of need assessment.

The truth is that T.B, MMF and their likes are investments you do with a rest of mind, without any fraudulent person cheating on you just because you don't have the time and strength to monitor the business but you can look around your environment and meet a consumption need that you can do at your convenience and give good profit.

As for me, l diversify my investment. Apart from my regular work, I invest in the stock market, MMF, T.B and have businesses I do at my convenience that gives me more than 30% profit monthly.

I'll encourage us to diversify our investments into businesses after doing good research on the needs in our environment that can managed at our convenience no matter how little the profit will come.

Does anyone know what rate first bank gave for 364days in the last primary auction?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 4:00pm On Jun 15, 2019
You guys should not write off our economy or naira yet. Lot of things will start happening as from 2020. You guys should be extremely careful with the buying of dollars. The importation of refined oil from overseas, causing huge demand for dollar is the biggest problem our naira and economy is having... Buhari will certainly put a ban on PMS anytime as from next year, and Dangote refinary will pick up with full effect, naira will experience unprecedented strength for the first time in decades. Most Domiciliary account holders will be compelled to maintain local account in naira.

High interest rates on t-bills might not be experienced anytime soon, rates might continue to reduce as our economy gets stronger and stronger with CBN encouraging more foods and goods to be produced locally, that's why CBN granted a whopping sum of 30billion naira to our local palm oil producers.

Nigerian oil marketers are already investing in our local sub refinaries in different states, because they have already seen the hand writing on the wall. In couple of months from now, business will no longer be as usual in Nigeria.

God bless Nigeria.

That is why someone like Otedola opted out from down stream, he has seen the hand writing on the wall. I wished the very best for my country and for those buying dollars to me they can still continue to buy it all about taking risk to go higher

To me there are many things attached to naira loosing value against dollars and not necessarily banning of items u mentioned below. People buy dollars almost everyday to keep and if am no wrong there is over 20bn dollars sitting in diff dom accounts doing nothing, if there is a policy which states that there is a limit of dollars people can have in their accounts, naira will surely regain it strength. My opinion though

I don’t understand what you mean by domiciliary account holders will be compelled to maintain local account in Naira?

Also people pointing out that Dangote refinery will crash dollar (lol), will cbn also stop supporting naira? Will naira be floated too after Dangote refinery starts functioning?

The interest is paid upfront. It's in your acct. You can withdraw/use it as you want.. except if you had opted for the option of reinvesting your interest and that's a different thing all together.

The value it is supposed to gain is going straight into the pocket of our leaders. Same thing will surely happen in the case of dangote refinery. I just dey laugh Nigerians cos they fail to learn from experience. Same reason they keep voting same set of crooks into power.

IN NIGERIA, ONE WAY TO BE SUCCESSFUL IS TO ALWAYS BELIEVE THINGS WOULD GET WORSE AND MAKE YOUR PLANS ACCORDINGLY.

The average Nigerian man always believes "e go better" but from experience, it always get worst!
