And who says there are no 5-star hotels in NYC and California?
Yet, big retail chains, auditing and financial services firm, investment incubators, IT giants, and manufacturing behemoths are rushing to invest in those cities.

Again, government has a way of managing everything.
Speaking of competitive edge, I keep wondering why those hotels prefer Imo State...I can't seem to wrap my head around it.
There's no competitive edge here...it's not like Imo State has beaches and mind-blowing tourist attractions that make it unique in the region.

People are just building hotels because they see everyone else building it. Just like the way everyone jumped in sachet water production because it became a money-spinner. A typical African man isn't creative...he just wants an easy way to making money.

I think I have made my point abundantly clear.

I rest my case.
And who told you that Las Vegas does not have these other things you listed. They do have other industries but not on the same level as their hospitality business. Owerri will definitely have different kinds of industries but from the way things are, it will be dominated by the hospitality industry. Owerri is neither Lagos nor Abuja, so you don't expect it to be a major player in every field. It has to start from somewhere then diversify in the future. Mauritius Island was known for sugar cane plantations, from there it became a huge tourist haven and from there, it is now an IT Hub. Rome was not built in a day.

Abogwara aka Imo1stson, just 2 weeks ago, i passed through Owerri, if anyone has not been to Owerri, the person could be deceived by your propaganda.

In truth, over 90% of roads in Owerri are in shambles, this is not to mock you but to be sincere to you. Others have confirmed it here too
You love wahala but abagworo is something else.

He loves to compare Obiano and Anambra to other states in the SE especially Anambra, who in his right senses compares States?
Imo and Abia should go fix up themselves well and make up proud.
