That was my plan initially...
But I'm considering the security issues..
If I can get medicine else where why not change
Security?? Like how many times have you heard of insecurity in UniMaid and its environs??
My brother just leave it like that. I see this as an opportunity. You'll be surprised when you meet loads of UNN aspirants that got higher than what you got in your jamb.

Good day fellow medical students

Its the media that's deceiving us oo...I am in the uni and there's nothing like that .....sha I don't have the charisma in convincing people but I want you to know that you will definitely get MBBS without connection and its a good medical school...my fellow unimaid aspirants and students will do better in convincing you sha......

Thanks so much sir...
But surely I know that Uni Ibadan is somewhat too competitive and I may not get in
But I'll make research about the school and their post utme but thanks sir
But sir what do you think of UNN and my chances there
See There's No School As Transparent As Unibadan When It Comes To Admission Matters In Nigeria Of Today. Everywhere Is Competitive And Transparency Is A Critical Factor To Consider. As For UNN I Don't Know The Extent To Which The School Is Transparent But I Knew Of Two Friends That Chosed UNN In 2018 Utme With Whooping Scores Of 306 And 308 And None Of Them Was Admitted. Even Their 3rd Friend Who Scored 303 Lost His Bid To Get Medicine In Unibadan. That Was Why I Stated Earlier That Grace Matters. Believing God For Your Safety In Unimaid, You May Leave It Like That, For Whomever God Protects Scapes Out Of Danger. Shalom!

Its well sir
Again thanks
Those candidates were probably not admitted because last year a lot of people passed, 4000+ candidates got 300+ too compared to this years 2906 so....
Anyways
I'll try to research the school (UI) as soon as possible
And come to conclusion soon before their post utme starts
But UNN is a good school and it's closer to Benue that's why I was considering it
I also think its better than UniMaid and their med graduates have a special preference...

Bro mi
Get your MBBs via an accredited medical school.
That's all you need.
There's nothing like preference.
No single advantage whatsoever.

Good evening medics in the house.
I have heard of many medical textbooks for pre-clinical stage and I want to know what makes one stand out from the other.

I have been flipping last's anatomy pages recently, but one of my friends told me that Moore is better cause it's clinically oriented and according to him anatomy is going clinical. I intend combining Gray and Last cause of diagrams.

For physiology, I prefer gannong for its concise nature but comprehension is the problem. I don't like voluminous book and guyton that's a bit simplied is too big. Please I seek your opinions here.

For biochemistry, the stuff fears me oo, I downloaded Harper and Chatterjea but I have deleted them, comprehension na wahala. Am now going through Lippincott.

please seniors I need your advice on this
which texts can you recommend and the reason
Thanks

My sincere advice to you Sir. Please,
1. Study your lecturers first.

2. meet your immediate Seniors what they used when they were in the same class you are now.

3. Ask them what each lecturer wants

What works in one school might not work in another school. Study your environment.

Bro, Left for me I will advise you to change to Unizik. It's less competitive than UNN and UI.

Their Post utme questions are mostly jamb past questions especially 2000 to 2008 jamb pq. 100 questions (40 eng, 20 chem, 20 phy and 20 bio) in 50 minutes as of last year.

Though last year's cut- off mark was not publicly known but I didn't go above 310, that am sure of.

You may end up wasting ur precious score. UNN is one of the most competitive schools in terms of MBBS. I know of someone who had 307 last year and didn't make the merit list and that school, if you are not in the merit list, it's only God's grace and connection that can help u in subsequent lists. My advise for you is to leave it there in Unimaid. Even if u want to change, you should change to a less competitive school. Not jumping from AC to Oven.
All said, I wish u luck.
