Power on with charger but not with battery.

Try this, remove the battery, plug in the charger and power it on, when it boot into desktop, insert the battery and check what's written on the battery icon.

Another one is showing critical--- Kernel power..

But most of the error codes here are WLAN Error code 126

Fine Kernel power 41 critical error.(unexpected shutdown)There are 2 issue to this the software and hardware.

Software issue.

1. The battery drivers should be updated you can scan for device changes from device driver.
2. check your power setting.
- from power settings
- click when the computer sleeps
- Then click on advance settings
- click on hard disk >turn off hard disk after, then set to never

Hardware

Your battery is most likely not getting the accurate charge your technician should check your charging port and pls let him change that battery.

Replace the battery.

Helo house pls my hp15 suddenly switch off while using Dc and refused to power up or indicate light on the power port , at first I use methylated siprit on it and when I did that it shows a light on the Dc port and light on WiFi keyboard but didn’t display on screen have tried my possible best on it pls help me with better solution and also the battery is already dead when I charge it ,it won’t charge

One more thing please.. Do you know much about replacement batteries?? There are some that are good and last long while some are not good at all and doesn't last long.. How can I know a good replacement battery that will work fine and last long in Ikeja?? Anything to look out for in PC batteries??

Will suggest you visit HP service centre the price might be a bit high but you sure of getting original and even warranty.

hello guys pls this is d problem i encounter with my laptop hp dv6 pavilion.

if i power it on wit ba3 and den connect my charger it wont show d charger is chargn it wil jst shw normal like ba3 is stil in use.

bt if i remv d ba3 plug d charger it wil indicate charger is plugd in,then if i insert d ba3, then power on, it wil boot n begin to shw ba3 is chargn.But if i remv d charger while d laptop is on n plug bk it won't show again.. asin it wil js be like notin ws plugd it wil js fal bk to ba3 usage.. This is hapnin wit a new ba3... pls gurus in d house help me...

Check and see if there is any light that have refuse to go off when you shut down and also confirm your laptop is shut down properly.

After that you also need to confirm if your battery is OK.

Try and reload your operating system to be sure its not software issue.

but still i don't know y d battery drain wen not in use??

I have Hp 650 for sale. Its working well, no fault. Call 08138737722

pls help I use a Compaq presario cq62, I tried to upgrade the RAM to 4gig by adding another 2gig ram, but only power and capslock light stay on when I switch on with 4gig ram, however each ram work when single on the first slot, the second slot shows capslock and powerlight without screen switching on if I insert any of the ram in it as a single 2gig ram, could there be problem with the system or slot, or Bios configuration.

Please whenever i switch my Dell on, the display is very dim, i don't get to see what's showing on the screen unless with the help of a torch or external monitor.
Please what could be wrong?
