Adakintroy: Thank God there is at least some reasonable persons in Nigeria. I am hearing of COZA and the pastor and Dakola for the first time. But the way people judge this case tells me how backward Nigeria is. Nigeria is backward because not just the leaders are selfish but it is now obvious that the citizens lack common reasoning. A woman claimed she was raped at about 18years inside her fathers house, raped by same man in two occasions and waited over 10years to tell the story and everyone is throwing stones at the pastor even after he has said that the allegation is false. Why has the woman not reported to the police and taken the case to court. This brings to light accusations of Suleiman,Ibiyeomie of salvation ministryetc. The police and court should handle rape cases. People should stop being judged just because someone said something . People can do or say all sort of things to trend. Did 'Jamal' of Empire not recently stage racist attack just to trend? I pity men who just believe any woman that cries rape. Pray that they don't remember you. Many have been falsely accused. Rape victims should report promptly to the police when the evidence are there if they are serious about being raped. Anything short of that to me is not rape. |

[quote author=PrettySleek post=79763390]Under the Criminal Code of Nigeria, Rape is defined, as having unlawful carnal knowledge of a woman or girl, without her consent, or with her consent, if the consent is obtained by force or by means of threats or intimidation of any kind, or by fear of harm, or by means of false act, or, in case of a married woman, be personating her husband. Rape can happen to anyone, please protect your love ones. It doesn't matter how long it takes for someone to open up, what matters is that the person has the courage to speak out so that healing can start. The criminal code states points to prove rape.U need to read it |

Nigeria is a very dynamic place ! With this news about pastor of coza we all just jump into conclusions of taking a side ?! I have no side to pitch my tent now but I want to let you know that all the girls that had a failed relationship in the past will all start saying he raped me !!! The husband should not have allow this to go viral cos his ego will altimately be affected . Let her also give us list of all the other people that have raped her . If pastor can have a two times on her I want us to know that is not really a case of rape . It’s like an assault of a minor . The next news am waiting for is for Tonto !!! To accuse one of newly elected governor of raping her in the Womb before her mother gave birth to her .. Still loading !!!! |

joseph6071: Meaning of solidarity. 1. A bond of unity or agreement between individuals, united around a common goal or against a common enemy, such as the unifying principle that defines the labor movement; mutual support within a group. 2.Willingness to give psychological and/or material support when another person is in a difficult position or needs affection. Who will Punish you if you stand in solidarity with the law ( i.e to stand neutral) until after the court judgement ? Ben Bruce should just thank God that this nation is not an Islamic nation, he would have explained what he enjoys in seeing the breast and buttocks of girls wearing only pants and bras. Does he not know that publicly celebrating and displaying those girls half nudity whether with or without their assent is an act of abuse . I only perceive those girls like lap dancers who are paid to dance with their clients and have the option to decide if they want to sleep with them or not because after the show they have the option to decide if they want to have lovers the age of their parents or not. He is absolutely nothing but a prostitute vendor in disguise. Most of them their parents sent them to school not knowing that Ben Bruce has organized a show to make them lap dancers in disguise(in the name of MBGN). |

famzynet:Of course there are many cases of false rape accusations, and sometimes, only the principal parties and God knows what the truth really is. But your reference question above asking why she's only spoken up 10 years later, and why she hasnt reported to the police completely gave you off. First of all, over 95% of rape cases are never reported especially in places like Africa where the victim will typically be treated as scum. Victims are either too scared or ashamed or traumatised to even talk about it to close family or friends. Then of the few cases where the victim speaks up, they are usually reported very much later, after the victims must have been able to gather up the courage and strength. Victims usually keep the hurt and trauma and suffer from it (sometimes even to the grave). But something always triggers some victims to eventually speak up; e.g. seeing another person speak up gives others the strength to, or sometimes when the victim is just sick and and tired of harbouring the trauma and needs closure, or again, when the victim encounters the predator again and maybe sees him doing same to others. In over 90% of reported rape cases, the victims hardly ever spoke up immediately. A little bit of research on rape cases or simple exposure would have made you understand the above. You're obviously not half as smart as you think you are, so stop labelling others "backward" |

drtwist: As a Believer with my little Knowledge of The Gospel, there are certain persons that who say they are pastors but I personally see them Wolfs in sheep clothings . Pastor Biodun for me falls into that.. but that does not Mean the members there so be castigated for the sins of the Pastor... There will one or two persons there who love GOD and are genuinely belivers.. but for one reason or the other find themselves with him.. As for Pastor Biodun, If I were him, I would Humble Myself, Repent and Make Amendments...Even if it cost me my posts.. We are still in the times of Mercy... and JESUS is still available to Accept whoever Repents.. 1 Like |

Emanodimo:Seduction doesn't count. If a lady seduces a man and they have sex who is to blame? Both of them. It's the same thing as a thief seeing something of value and getting tempted to steal. It's the same thing as every temptation we humans face. If you have sex with a woman because she seduced you, you are just morally weak. |

zeuss:I wish I could sit u down and talk to u, not to insult u but to tell you about how rape occurs. I am a mental health nurse, let me explain in a little way. You know what those stories we read about girls that were raped their relatives or whoever. Most times it happened more than once until they get pregnant or somebody discovers it. As a young girl, a virgin, a naive girl, virginity is pride once it's taken away, the person feels worthless, dirty. Most times the rapist is a powerful figure, and their victims feel that if they speak out nobody would believe them because of the person's status or how nice the person is on the outside. Sometimes the rapists would threaten to hurt to kill them. Some would say, nobody would believe u because people know I am a good person. They would say anything to put fear in her mind and once that fear is there, rape can happen again if the rapist decides to. Over 20% of my females patients have been raped in their early lives, some are already in their 50s and 60s before they decide to talk. Most of them have depression and schizophrenia. They carry that shame and regret, till affect their marriage, their jobs, their children. Some can't even have sex with their husbands without crying or resisting. It's a very terrible thing. Please not for the sake of argument, when you are free, just goggle rape. You will understand better. Some girls ran back to their captors in boko haram after being rescued, do you know why? That's another topic on it's own. Research on that too. 1 Like |
