I think my mine is worst, my mom likes to control my home. once our quarrel starts like this she will leave my room and go lock herself inside hubby room or kitchen ... abii e dey normal? not just that o something wey no get head go start our quarrel like I.e she likes using skineal or funbact A for baby cream when I try to explain to her the side effects she will see it that am trying to do itk next thing she will start quarreling me that she is not a barren woman ooo

abii zaynie how u see am? am scared to invite her this time around cos I will be due soon and this quarrels happens when hubby is not around

My sister I understand everything my mum may be worse but whatever argument we have, can be settled later. Dealing with in-laws could be different. They never let go. Whatever you say will always stand and can never be wiped off.

Who comes for omugwo and doesn't cook? She sits down and I serve her breakfast, lunch and dinner.at least I can talk to my mum, tell her work is pressing me and she should help, here I can't. She controls up to asking, are u driving out? Don't do this and that. Give me the child and continue with your chores.

It's difficult living with an adult, I admit but calmly and respectfully I have made some points known to her. Even if she can't help, at least cook. I prepare baby's bath (infact I do everything). She only holds baby for some time.

I have learnt my lessons (Next time I will get a matured nanny, I won't be deceived (so if I had delivered with cs she would have treated me this way?))
I keep ASKING myself, when her daughter delivers ,will she act this way too?

The truth is, it's not The same when dealing with MIL, you can afford to quarrel with your mum but it's not The same with MIL, you have to be careful so you don't send the wrong message.
Your mum can choose to overlook certain things even when you're wrong, but might not be the same with MIL. Not that MIL is bad o, but it's easy to forgive your child when they are wrong than a stranger that you're still trying to get to know.
It's not always the case tho
God bless mothers and MILs, e nor easy.

I just saw this message, you spoke my mind.yesterday I went to the market hurriedly but made the beans half done and also prepared the sauce for the beans so when I return, it won't be difficult to prepare when I return and also fry plantain but she called to ask me to buy groundnut to drink garri. We have food but she preferred to wait for me. I was tempted to say something but I applied wisdom bought groundnut for us, drank the garri with her. Prepared the beans and refrigerated it .
I served breakfast today, she said it's too early.

She told me she doesn't eat cow meat only chicken, fish, snail and goat meat. I said ok. Prepared soup with goat meat, the moment she TOUCHED it, she said I told u I don't eat cow meat and my response was I prepared your goat meat separately,, Mumsy that's goat meat.

There's always a next time. I won't have her around next time. I WILL BE PATIENT AND CALM AND KEEP ASKING GOD FOR THE GRACE

I gave mine the following

1 English wax wrapper
Lace blouse to match the wrapper
A carton of medium size tin tomatoes
A carton of washing soap
A gallon of groundnut oil
Beverages
Didn't buy bag of rice because of too much load( she came from another state) so gave her money equivalent.
Cash #40,000.

Just give what you can afford and based on what you felt she need.

Would like to make my own comment here concerning this issue, different strokes for different folks I could remember when I gave birth I stayed with my mum and never picked a pin my mil kept on insisting she also wants to take care of me , my dear fellow mother's it wasn't funny she almost started controlling me and the house without doing anything and my husband was never around to see all of it I only told him on phone, it got to a point I just had to tell my husband to let her go please before we have a major fight that we cannot settle my husband was like I should be patient but I couldnt bear any more even it got to the point I cried my husband knew it was serious, so mothers let's really try and communicate with our husband for our peace of mind sake have been through it and I know how it feels let's keep on communicating to them till they sort it out. Thank you

Have you done pregnancy test to confirm??
There’s no need for mixed feeling , please embrace it positively to ease the situation..

You don’t have to stop breastfeeding if it doesn’t affect you..

Hope this help..

Green poop is most likely inadequate feeding. Feed her more and give water to avoid constipation. It could also be medicine you took or food you ate like veggies. Poop should be egusi like. My baby is 6months going to 7 and his poo is pasty egusi like.

On the issue of mil and mom I still maintain that no difference in both just that some are quarrelsome and some daughters and daughters in law have wahala too. Tbh, I think omugwo is overrated. If your mum can come for omugwo fine, if mil can come fine. If you know you can not cope with any of them please hire a help or do it yourself and save yourself stress. I really appreciate everyone's opinion on this matter because I'm learning.

Thank you. I will watch out for what I eat. She takes formula every 2 hours and breast milk (like 2/3 hours daily)

Could it be her formula? I give her one and half scoop of milk mixed in 100ml every two hours. she doesn't like water. I will increase her water intake.thank you

Don't have mixed feeling about it. First do test to confirm it. Your body might be doing pranks on you. But if positive, embrace it positively and continue breast feeding your LO till maybe 1 yr or when he is established on solid food.

Hugs
