Oga excuse me you're the who's asleep, they did not call for his sack after he won his first 2 games. It was after the Madagascar game. Talking about his antecedents at tournaments, what antecedents?! Talk about these "antecedents" so we understand. If Rohr flips the squad and throws in Onyekuru, Chukwueze et al do you consider he can still lose that game? I know what you and the rest will say then, you will say that the whole squad is useless or they're not patriotic or they're all mercenaries or they don't transfer their club form to national team or Rohr sold the match to the mama put he's shagging bla bla bla.

There are only few football analysts here with the majority being fanatics.

I don't know if Rohr can win but I know he didn't come to sell snuff and schnapps, he came to compete. Didn't Tottenham make the UCL final ahead of Barcelona and Man City? Wait for the man to fail before you go guns blazing. You don't put the Cart before the Horse. I'm amazed at how narrow minded supposedly educated people can be. So to respond to your question, yes he should, until finally he fails.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN.

But I can tell you what they can not do.

First of they are not the best team players, Onyekuru and Chukwueze will not back track and give any defensive cover. There off the ball movement is not good.

You will not get any quality crosses for your light weight forward Osimhen to receive.

Chukwueze will hug the ball trying to dribble everybody. Onyekuru is a bit more mature but similar.

There will be no HOLD UP PLAY.

As a forward line it would be disastrous causing the entire team to loose cohesion. With too much pressure being put on the midfield they may resort to Long ball police game. To get out of trouble.

IMO in this very physical based game in the AFCON, I would play Onuachu and Ighalo.

Mikel or Ogu but never the both just too slow and lethargic and can't keep up with the pace of the current high paced game in this AFCON. I would prefer if both were dropped to be honest as subs.

Which is our best winger at crossing the ball He would be first choice. But l really don't know which one. Nobody has been impressive, one of the primary function of winger and or wing back is to cross the ball. But we seem to have forgotten that.

Choi, now I know you sabi ball. plus these 3 have never played a game of football together, between them I'm not sure they have up to 20 caps but i see people clamouring for the 3 to start, some people think this is fantasy football

You guys can dream. When would ye wake up from thy slumber?

People calling for his sack is due to his antecedents at major tournaments. Not because of Madagascar.

Rohr has no tactical mind..nothing to offer technically

I want you to be objective. Weighing his antecedents and the teams performance so far, do you think Rohr can win?

Do you think he should remain?
really? major tournaments you say? please remind me of our performance at the last two tournaments he led us to

It's still part of the UEFA coefficient ranking. An ignoramus like you will not understand that the points garnered while playing in the UEFA Champions League determines a club's UEFA coefficient ranking. Sharktar Donetsk didn't bribe their way to the top.

You can see how senseless and uninformed your statements are again.

Try to put on your reasoning cap before making senseless, uninformed, baseless and emotional comments next time you come on public forum.

Boy, you lying. grin .. U said Iwobi is the only Nigerian player playing at a higher UEFA ranked team than Kayode (as if it matters)
Villarreal are ranked ahead of Shaktar...
https://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/seasonclub/

Next time check well before dropping info here..
And I repeat again, I don't care where Shaktar is ranked ..They can be European and world champions for all I care ..let Kayode play something first and he will be called up .

You no dey observe something, some want him out because he dropped their favorite player, one even said its only Iheanacho that can shoot from outside the box, shot wey he no see play for the past two years, shot wey he no fit use score Man City. I've been following the eagles since late 90s/2000 not sure I've seen any coach organize defence better than this man, we beat the toughest opponent in our group without them having a sniff at our goal, una no cry but we lost a dead rubber game see as egbere full this thread. FC Midtjylland has never played in the UEFA Champions League group stage for once. What is your senseless and baseless argument all about?

Danish league is not just a lower league, it's a an obscure league that is not even among the top 20 clubs in Europe.

When did you see me clamour for Kayode on that my post? You are just grasping for straw.

U just proved that u are an hypocrite.. U are saying Onauchu didn't deserve to be called up because he plays in an obscure Danish league. But u used to complain that Kayode wasn't called up when he was banging goals in the Austria league ..remind us again, what position was the Austria league the season Kayode was banging goals there ??

BTW u lied big time at the bolded... the Danish league is no 16 in Europe.. Go confirm..

Truth be told, aside that Balogun blunder, our defence has been good throughout the tournament...
The defeat may just turn out to be a blessing in disguise... The players will be motivated and more serious now...

The problem is people are only calling for Rorh's sack after the loss to Madagascar. Rohr's tactical deficiency was long obvious.
If we had won Madagascar unconvincingly most people won't be complaining.

Did we look serious against Guinea? Let me excuse the Burundi game because most of the big teams started slowly. Now look at Egypt and the like, they were blazing after their first round of games.

Alaves will suit him. If its true, he should not let it pass by. His only problem is he hugs the ball so much. He only needs to master when to hold and when to pass, I think we have a gem in our hand.

No need to be emotive.

You're wrong by saying some didn't call for his sack before the AFCON. After the WC, many did and not even qualifying for AFCON changed their rhetoric.

Nobody is joining any bandwagon. Its obvious that this man is t a good tactician. A bad tactician can never win tourneys. That's a damn fact. A bad tactician would still fail with a team of a world class players. Rohr is a bad tactician. Man management doesn't win games...ability to read the game and make crucial changes does. Rohr has faired badly in the most crucial aspects of coaching.

Me I'm not like air Goodjoe or forgiveness and I don't know how to argue endlessly. This is my final comment on this issue. We will wait and see what he does in our next game. I hope he proves us all wrong

Here's a summary of Rohr's tactical plan for all our group matches so far:

1. When the team gains possession in midfield, send the ball back to the centre backs immediately. Don't bother about trying to find the forwards, send the ball to the back first. grin

2. The two CB's pass the ball amongst themselves until they run out of ideas and make an innacurate long pass that ends up either in the sidelines or in the opponent's possession.

3. No pressing for the ball in the opponent's goal area. Whenever the opponent decides to play from the back, he must be allowed to pass his way into our own half unhindered.

4. Don't ever try to build possession in midfield. Just give the fuvking back pass!

5. Nothing else. grin

Yeah I do see people making flimsy excuses for Iheanacho.. They talk about how only Nacho can shoot from outside the box and take freekicks bla bla bla. I just laugh really. I can't say for sure that they're normal lol. I mean no offence please.

Rohr should play 3-5-2 or 4-4-1-1. We need two strikers upfront.
This one striker thing isn't helpful
Left for me I'd say he retires Mikel and Musa to the bench
Musa off the ball activity is zero, his miss still hurts me than that balogun error. That ball I know onyekuru would have hit it on goal than wanting to round a keeper whose position makes it impossible to.
From now onwards I believe the 3-5-2 system would be effective from the knockout. A system that can be changed into a 4-3-3 later or 3-4-3 as the case maybe.
Moving forward I wish the eagles best of luck moving forward. Still trying to heal from the humility the Malagasy gave us.
