That amount is the passport processing fee you are required to pay. However it is meant for those who did not do their biometrics with VFS. I got to find this out when I went to submit my passport. The VFS people were shocked my application was July 2018. I did not take the slip to show I did biometrics there... cos I did not even remember where I kept it. They insisted I have to pay the fee, but I insisted I need to see the manager, and then I explained to the manager, though initially he was forming busy and not wanting to help, I kept insisting I did my biometrics there and to find a way to check. While we were going back and forth on the matter, I no gree oooo He said something about if i got a notification from them to check it. Then I remembered I got, and had to check my email... and thankfully I saw the email from VFS. I wrote out the number and gave to him, and that was how I ended up not paying the fee for passport processing. For those yet to get PPR, when submitting passport after your PPR request, please do not forget to take the biometrics slips given when you do biometrics. Shadypoza01: 1 Like |

jessyeve: What you are about to carry out is the use of a 3rd party sponsor. It is not enough to make us of an individuals financial portfolio simply because they have "cash". You have to carefully provide documents to proof your relationship with them and also they need to show commitment to your studies. Lastly, VOs sometimes frown at one year programs, they sometimes believe applicants use them to immigrate to canada especially if you have limited travel history. 1 Like |

It will show approved when your passport has been stamped. My advise, be patient, and as long as your details submitted especially bank information is correct, it will come. Focus on your work and put more positive energy on the passport coming back as soon as possible. Now the issue of 3-5 business days may also be iffy. I do not know where you submitted your passport, but the VFS in Lagos says 10 to 15 business days. Leave7777: |

Thanks for your anticipated assistance @mcobex In the meantime, I'm considering of securing another admission (graduate diploma) perhaps my previous visa rejection was prompted by lack of educational progression. Please, what's your view? mcobex: |

Leave7777:If I may suggest, I will say you should visit the VFS office in Lagos and there was a guy who on this forum said he went to one office in VI (I think it's the Canadian high commission office). According to him, he had already boom his flight and time was almost going. But when he went there, his passport was sent and he picked it up same day or next day or so at the VFS in Lekki. Hope this helps |

Good morning guys, Yesterday, I did my medicals and everything seems great but my pulse rate, which was quite elevated (113BPM). I asked the doctor who attended to me if the information he was filling in were okay (at that point, he was recording that of BP which was 129/75), and he said, "that's fine". I thought I might be referred for ECG after sighting the abnormal pulse rate, but I wasn't. And does stethoscope tells how large/big one's heart is? 'cause I was wondering why the doctor had to move that instrument to the edges of chest down to my ribs region. Do I need to be perturbed with this result? Lastly, for those who did their medicals at IOM, Ikeja, how long did it take IOM to notify you that your medical result has been forwarded to CIC, and how long did it take you to get a "passed" notification on your portal regarding medicals. Thanks. 1 Like |

Chukwuemekatehi:I think I am in a similar situation. I have followed this thread for some time and you all are doing an amazing job. I applied for a Study permit for my daughter (undergraduate studies Dalhousie) and a TRV for myself to accompany her. This is our timeline Application submitted paper route : 25th April Biometrics : 25th April BVL for mother: 31st May Medical request for my daughter : 1 June Medical passed: 6th June Mother's passport collected approved (5 years): 13th June CIC updated approval in account : 15th June BVL for daughter 20th June Since then, we have heard nothing from CIC. I sent a webform to them on the 28th of June but I haven't received any reply. I don't know what next to do. Suggestions will be welcome. |

Chukwuemekatehi: If your application is beyond the processing time maybe you could send them a web form. I also received the passport request letter by email first before getting an update on my portal. I think CIC's website has been acting up lately. |
