Dreams are revelations granted to us when we are at sleep. The revelations can come from God, from the devil or as a result of our excessive labour. It is not every dream you have at night that is orchestrated by God and divinely given by God. However, we should not have non-challant attitude towards our dreams. Everything we see in our dream contains a message we may need or we may not need.

More so, It is imperative for us to consider the sources of dreams. Once the source of a thing is known it can be easily stopped, harnessed and properly channelled. Once you know the source of the nightmares you have been having, you will know what to do to stop it. Once you know the source of the powerful, accurate and definite revelations you have been having you will be able to get closed to the source.

SOURCES OF DREAMS;

• Holy Spirit

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" - Joel 2:28.
Joel who was inspired by the spirit of the Lord, prophesied about the outpouring of the Holy Ghost in the last days. He said one of the thing the Holy Spirit will enable you to have is dream. So, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is dream. Holy Spirit is the senior revealer of secrets and the deep things of God through our dreams. When the Spirit of the Lord has been poured upon a person’s life, He will grant him dreams that are definite, instructive and edifying.

how can dream come from either the devil or god ? I think you do not understand what dreams are. Dream are mostly made up in the mind. ( except you say god exists in the mind of human)

I WONDER, IS THERE A DUTY ROSTER FOR WHO AND WHO IS TO GIVE DREAMS, AND WHEN TO? OR THEY DO A COIN TOSS TO DECIDE WHO SHOULD GIVE DREAMS TO CHRISTIANS PER SLEEP?

Quite possible. According to the book of Job, God and the Devil some times play bet 9ja with peoples lives. JOB Chapter 2 verses 1-7.

Daily Activities.

"For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude's of words." - Ecclesiastes 5:3.
Another source of dream is excessive labour or daily activity. When you do something repeatedly throughout the day, and you sleep at night you can find yourself doing the same thing in your dream. When a man over works himself, that he has to sleep by 11pm, such person may have joberwocky and confusing dream at night. Our brain doesn’t stop working, even after you sleep, it will re-process all the activities you have had during the day. And this may result into dreams.

Beware of the dreams you have after you have worked assiduously. Don’t depend so much on that and take your life’s decision based on those kind of dreams.

Satan.
"Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:"- Job 7:14.
It is the devil that scares us with dreams. God is not the originator of anything that produces fear and torment. God takes delight in comforting His people not to petrify them. 2 Timothy 1:7 says for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So, any dream that instills fear in you is not from God but from the devil.

Another way to recognize a dream that comes from the devil is that the dream will produce absolute confusion. Satan is the author of confusion not God(1Cor 14:33). God cannot give you dream that will confuse you though the dream may be coded but you will be able to interpret it. If it is not interpreted, is not from God.

• The Flesh

"Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities." - Jude 8.
Those who defile their body and do all sorts of unclean thing will continually have evil and confusing dreams. Many have defiled themselves with sexual intercourse with different people to the extent that whenever they sleep, they see themselves having sex. These people are not who will say they have Spirit-husband/wife. Anyone who continues to defile his or her body will end up as filthy dreamers. Someone who sleeps after watching ponographic videos, may have a dream that is horrible and filthy.

Above all, it is not all dreams that are meaningful and it is not all dreams that are of the devil. In every dream, there is a message. Message to quit defiling your body or message from the Lord. Joseph was directed by God through dream to take Jesus to Egypt. So, God still directs people through dreams. Do not be deceived by people who says God does not lead people by dreams anymore.

May the Lord continue to lead us in life either through dream, vision or voice in Jesus name.
