Speaking on the growing trade between the two neighboring nations, President Magufuli said Kenyans own 504 companies in his country worth 1.7 billion US dollars compared to 24 Tanzanian companies in Kenya worth 189 million US dollars.

"According to the Kenya Tourism Board, in 2018, Tanzanian tourists visiting Kenya were 222,216 accounting for 10 percent of the over 2 million visitors who visited the country," President Magufuli said adding that Tanzania is Kenya's second largest tourists source market after the United States of America.

He said Kenyan companies provide over 50,000 direct jobs to Tanzanians and called for concerted efforts by both countries to promote trade, implementation of regional infrastructure and people-to-people interactions

Please Tanzania has a lot of huge Lakes like Lake Victoria and other lake but you seem not to be posting pictures of them.. something else which lives in this lakes is known as the Goliath tiger fish one of the world's most deadliest freshwater fishes

Yes we have all of Africa's 3 big lakes! I posted some pics of them although not as much.Its is not easy for me to post pics of all of the lakes found in Tz,remember we have over 100 lakes and over 100 islands.I will do what I can.

Goliath tiger fish is found in lake Tanganyika. I don't think its dangerous. I never heard anyone being killed or attacked.

You are just ignorant about Tz.Actually, Kenyan companies have received a lot more than what they should considering their low capital basket they possess. If we could be tough on banking sector, most of your small banks couldn't operate in Tz. The same thing happened in gas industry.When the gov raised the minimum required amount in gas sector, no small boy from Kenya have touched that sector.

truth be told, oil is not a curse..its the people who curse themselves...Norway got $1 trillion sovereign wealth fund coz of oil..why cant Africans emulate that ? bythe way we also recently discovered a bit of oil deposits (tiny ones compared to Nigeria)

People from different companies are in jail right now for investigation and internet is still shut in Ethiopia except in Addis. I don't know how long we are going to move with this. We are not surrounded by financially competitive neighbours. Our number games in terms of trade and general commerce are huge compared to all countries in EAC. I do appreciate the support that we get from Uganda and a little of it from Rwanda. Ethiopia is only starting to change now towards liberalization but the revolutionary Abiy is under a political assassination scheme by some Amhara quatres! We need to think BEYOND EAST AFRICA,it would be a boon if we get AFCTA working and it's headquatres being right here in Nairobi!
