charlesELIKIBA: when you coming to work in the UAE, its not JUST about the salary... you have to take advantage of the developmental strides and the beautiful culture and environment around you. life is to be enjoyed peacefully, sadly for now...Nigeria doesn't offer this.
please i want to beg Nigerians here in the UAE and those planning to come, no matter the job you find yourself or salary you earn please do your possible best to take care of your damn self. i am tired of seeing ''some'' Nigerians looking and living like pigs just because you earn a 800 or 1000AED salary.
when you are off work like fridays or the weekend, take yourself to a treat. spending 100AED of your salary just to pamper yourself wouldn't kill you. the beaches are free, the malls are free to enter with wifi, meet and greet, expose yourself. YOU ARE IN A DEVELOPED COUNTRY.
i was shocked to find out some persons have stayed over 3 years in the country and have never even had a glance of burj khalifa. cmon you live in a country that houses the tallest building in the world and you haven't even seen it? what kind of life are you living? you want to work, save and die?
all work and no play my people... Don't tell me about your family in Nigeria, don't be stingy to yourself...i see some Nigerians here and i shed tears. why won't the mere indians see you and maltreat you? you already presented yourself as a slave to them. some of you can't even buy a set of rollon and perfumes to atleast smell good.
dubai is expensive i know but take advantage of the environment, look and smell good please. las las, we're our own problem, had it been Nigerians do corporate, 5-10 Nigerians can team-up and rent a studio; but that will not happen, bcoz Nigerians are so selfish to themselves. If only we can think of how this quick money making syndrome is fast consuming us, maybe we would consider making good name first and then money next. Me, with all the advises I'm seeing, I might just have to consider my uae journey. May God direct me, bcoz Naija too sef don cast!!! 4 Likes |

murphybo: No need for long story and preaching all I can just say is that, if you have a constant job or business that fetches you at least 50k per month in Naija best thing for you is to stay and develop yourself more, dont waste your money to come and risk by trying your luck there is 80% assurance you will go back home or go for visa change, that is certain. But if you are a professional and have uae certified course you stand a better chance. The real fact is that if you cant live a comfortable life if your salary is less than 3500. Cos you cant afford to rent house of yasef. Dont waste money to try luck DUbai don cast, maybe after EXPO 2020 things might be better nobody knows. I'm sorry about your situation but that's the reality here, if someone had advised you not to come then, apparently you would have seen a prospective enemy of progress, the truth is bitter but we must say it, UAE is a beautiful country with fantastic infrastructures but we Africans especially Nigerians will find it difficult to strive here unless for few lucky people. I came in UAE as a cleaner earning 36k monthly, I did a management course and it was very expensive while doing a cleaning job. God smiled on me and I got promoted to a Procurement Administrator in my company where I was once a cleaner and I was earning 5,000 drms... only few Nigerians will have this luck or opportunity. I worked for 6 more years, obtained diploma in Photography and that was how I became a CEO, I went back to Nigeria and I have no regret since I came back, I do travel to UAE for visit and other countries for events photography. Most of the guys in UAE are spending naija money I. E visa procurements for their fellow brothers, most of them earn 1,200drms as salary but they make averagely 400k monthly in procurement of visas and accommodations for same Nigerians, you see them come back home with cars and you are intimidated and wanna follow their footsteps. There is no harm in trying, who wanna come should come and see. tojahh: Wetin dey cause yawa here sef?

Okay boss, I will do that. But hope my means of identity will suffice (soft copy of international passport and a copy of my national id). We will settle for renting a vacation apartment since they tend to be less strict about this identity thing. And perhaps I am not the one booking or paying she is and her passport will be tendered.

You people are advising Nigerians that will quit their high paying job or sell off their business just to travel abroad ? Some are looking you as enemy of progress Stop advising people not to travel abeg, traveling will makes u to be more exposed and more experienced. If you are doing nothing in Nigeria or maybe your take home is low, pls travel if you have the opportunity. UAE is still more better than Nigeria interms of opportunities. 3 Likes |

God Bless You and your Entire Generation. People only think of the money equivalent when converted into naira but they forget to mention the quality of life, food and all that makes the heart merry with hope when you feed your eyes with pleasant sights all around you in the UAE just to mention. The Jobs sef no even reach our people as the Filipinos, Indians and Pakistanis are preferred. Graduates with Masters here in Nigeria are still looking for 50 to 100k jobs with zero incentives. Abeg who get legit way make he move, save up as much as you can and have a plan to get a certificate course in the UAE then your cv can be pleasant to your prospective employer Seeing that you have been certified for that position. NB.... Our certificate here in naija isn't recognised in the UAE....who can afford a professional course should use that to get a good paying job in the UAE. Even in Nigeria, money still can't buy comfort. What we see as luxury in naija is just comfortable living in the UAE. The lifts in the local markets have got aircons in them in UAE 2019 MODEL OF CARS ARE USED AS TAXIS METRO BUS ARE LIKE AIRPLANES MOVING ON LAND ... Who never go no go know.

Peachycute: Pls I am a Registered Nurse here in Nigeria, what is my hope of getting job in Dubai either as a Nurse or Nurse assistant. Thanks You can come and try your luck once you’re eligible to work in that capacity. To be eligible, you need to be licensed/pass the health authority licensing exam. There are 3 main health authorities(DHA, MOH and HAAD). They all have the same requirements, You can download and go through the PQR(professional Qualification Requirement) for nurse in UAE on google. Most people chose Dubai health authority (DHA) by default because it’s the most popular of the Emirates and the process is seamless, making job opportunities to be highly competitive because it’s saturated already. Of the 3, HAAD is preferred but it’s licensing exam is relatively more difficult to pass compere to the other 2. If you’re interested, start the process and ensure that you have passed before coming here to search for job. The chances of getting job even with your haad isn’t 100% but more promising. 2 Likes |

You want him to lie about the situation there? Sometimes we Nigerians hate to hear the truth especially when it comes to traveling abroad.
A week ago I visited Madrid and as we are driving around I saw some Africans selling pocket tissues by traffic, the sun is 40 degrees and I'm wondering how can anyone survive with this? Obviously they are illegal immigrants trying to survive as much as they can, if you asked such persons about coming to Spanish with visiting visa to hustle and he tells you not to try it, your next question will be why are you still there if Spain is hard?
People don't want others to make the same mistake they made. hmmm.... you really think so? |

#Peace Very true this. Every Nigerian thinks they are the lucky ones, the most prayerful ones, the only one that will be among the favoured even if the percentage is 1%. They can't be among the 99% because they are so lucky. So they gamble instead of plan. You cannot raise 500k to start something that will likely give you peace of mind, but you are ready to raise 1million to try your luck. Work for 12hours or more, some under intense weather conditions, some no off duty. Well, like others have said, you are welcome. You work for your money here, especially those 80k,120k work. 12hours work here is not 12hours work in Nigeria, sorry to say. If you are a professional, maybe, good. If you are not a professional, be very aware before coming. Others have made it, many others did not. 2 Likes |

I will be glad to read your experience and success story here. Cos many has joined CRA comments reader association shying away to share their story after taking the bold steps you about to take also. You have a very nice profession which is in high demand here but the issue is that Indians has taken over the IT, you can still shoot your shot, if your lucky enough to get a job, especially in the hospitality, I can guarantee you that your salary won't be less that 500k with accomodation, feeding, medical, provided Personally I know a Nigerian who's into IT and he earns around 1m monthly Las las no go sell all your property unto say u wan come UAE, cos ground no level like before Coming to UAE now is matter of choice, incase kasala burst, u won't blame anyone but yourself But 9ja no try shaa, even ordinary cleaner here earns up to 100k #Cheers 3 Likes |

You really cannot tell people that someone earns 1million per month and ordinary cleaner earns 100k and expect them to hear you say "think before coming". Especially a people that the majority earn less than $1 per day. 1 Like |

tojahh: Wetin dey cause yawa here sef?
See guys, if you want to go to Dubai... Let it not be with your last cash!! I repeat, let it not be with your last cash!!! There's a big chance returning home Penniless/overstaying/nuisance/begger/thieves/ yes, I was there and I'm back!
My bossom friend promised me of a job even before landing, he gave me a profile of him owning his own place and all that. Don't blame me, I have to believe him because he own a car in Naija and just came back for his wedding. We all saw the glamour of the wedding and yes, he left his car for his wife and traveled back almost immediately. Here the convo.
Me: Harry, I hail o, see how you fresh, help your boy na? Harry: Oboy na God o, how mumsy na, how that your stubborn brother? Me: Boss we dey o, na God dey keep us alive even as the Government no send us. Harry: If you fit raise 300k, I go help you get UAE visa, my company there na security them dey into. Stadium, clubs, events, etc. Me: Obbbboy this my body fit that kind job na, joblessness Don turn boys to gym expert and bet9ja ambassador. Harry: no worry raise the bar. Me: Okay baba.
Na so I enter road begin hustle, follow tipper drivers Up and down to raise the money, mama raise 100k and one and two together money correct I send am to my guy account here in Naija, in two weeks visa was out!! I nearly curse all my ancestors wey make me no speak out to Harry all these times. Na so I arrange bag and all that, mama go borrow money for flight, I tell am make she no worry everywhere good. In less than 2months everybody go dey alright. Small time Harry tell me say... Abeg bring, Garri, Oil, Dry fish, Equisi, ogbolor è remain small make he say make I bring Gbogbonise. I say no shaking senior man anything for you. Na so I book ticket enter UAE. After paying much for excess luggage! We land via Rwanda Air. Wey Harry na?! He say somebody go pick me come, na so I follow dey wait, small time I buy etisalat sim and all that. Change money. The guy came said Harry said I'll give him 200AED to bring me over. I weak! I argue the guy collect 100AED we begin March. Met with Harry and other guys in a house which I believed was Harry's only when night reach na Harry tell me say make I bring 60AED for bedspace Ò. Just to sleep! Na so life start the next day wey reality visit me, me and one guy begin waka for town unto I get work na make Harry just carry me go there make them Oga see my chest. One week my whole money don finish, Harry was no where to be found!!! Advice from guys was I should bring money so they can help me get a job Bla Bla Bla Bla. I just cowardly tell them, if you see Arab wey go buy brokos, kidney, even head, just let me know!! Small time I don do CV, meanwhile I no authenticate my certs Ò. Before long I got some opportunities but the highest pay was 800AED with 10 occupant accommodation and transportation. Work condition was 14hrs on a bloody construction site under mad Sun! I picked it up as creditors don dey suck my mama blood for Naija, make I just pay the money and get peace, people of God na so I work finish, two months I send 70k home, Mama begin pray harder. I nearly die from that work, all my palms and eyes suffered from sore. Before long, them reduce salary to 600AED and employed more Nigerians. People begin para say them wan take those to court this and that. Na so them cancel all of us o. I go back to square one. This time visa Don almost kalas. Saw a nigga from my village and he asked me if I'd like to go back home. Na so I jump for him body say yes. He gave me a few money and asked me to go home. Bros, yes I came back, I didn't regret coming back, Harry sef till today na Ogun go judge you. this is a painful experience. i feel so bad anyone will go through this considering how you raised money for your trip and to now go back to square one is the saddest sight for any individual or parents sef. i think its very important for us here to be transparent. this thread isn't transparent. i do not want a dime from anyone here BUT WHOEVER IS READING THIS: PLEASE 3 MONTHS VISAS ARE FROM N170,000 TO N200,000 (anything more than that, tell the person to go to hell and find another trusted person). FLIGHTS GRACEFULLY AIRPEACE NOW COMES TO THE UAE FOR N180,000 TO N190,000 for a two-way trip. anything more than this tell the agent or person to go to hell. you can even get cheaper prices on other airlines but maybe longer flight hours but airpeace is a direct flight (8hrs). BEDspaces are from N50,000 to N65,000 maximum. i know this will be taken down because i mentioned prices but i also want to say i am not an agent neither do i know any agent. i just am fed up of hearing stories of people coming to the UAE FOR 1MILLION, 900,000 for 3 months stay. its is selfish and sad. my friend i wish you goodluck in Nigeria. God will not abandon you. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
