The screw with a spring under the tank was adjusted and it stopped being very loud but It's still consuming a liter per hour (more than the big gen at home).

It will be difficult for me to ascertain that from here but from d look, I think it should be okay. Also, make sure it has copper coil and not aluminium. Use it extensively during the warranty period and observe.

Thank you all who shared your possible remedies. Have been away since.

So after my post I already booked a Tech Guy to come check it out but I wasn't ready to spend any big money though.
So I called my old Tech Guy in Benin and explained my wahala to him and one time he gave me a DIY Solution.
OIL ALERT - The issue with the gen started after I changed the Oil.
So he said if its tripping off in that manner it must he the Oil Alert and it's a common issue.
Guided me on how to trace and DISCONNECT the Oil Alert Yellow Wire which I did and Gbam!!! Gen working fine none stop.
Extra added because I have to check Oil Level after every two usage before starting it...
But it fine I can live with that...
And the Gen dey drink oil sha, I nor weda im dey use am fry Chicken and Chips..

So after reading plenty reviews on Lutian LT3990E I went ahead to buy mid May, now about a month old and barely used.
In the past 4 days, I have been using it all night, changed the oil two days back. Last night was different as it went off about 1:00AM, start again running went inside few minutes later it went off again. Start again went inside, few minutes running and Off again. Start again, was about 10 steps away from its location and it went off, start again went inside, off again. Phewww!!!
Na so, went back start, running fine, then only took few seconds to go off and so... right now, it only last few seconds before going off.
Have cleaned the plug but no change. Now I have a feeling its cutting fuel supply that I cant dig into myself.
Please any Pro with best remedy should relate to this post to Equip me on what can be done...

Help me ooo this is an SOS Call...

Use Mobil Oil. Your oil change depend on how often you use your gen. Once a month is recommended no matter how often you use it in a month. Now, if you rarely use it within one month, then there is no need to change it at the end of that month. Just make sure you use the oil dipstick to check - by putting a drop on your hand, if it is too dark, then it's time to change it.

I change mine between 2 to 4 weeks depending on the usage.

There is no danger in using another brand of oil so long as it meets the oil specification for your engine. Sae 20W-50 is the recommended spec. Is that what conoil is?

Bosses in the house pls i need help.. I bought a sumec fireman spg1800 generator some few weeks back but noticed current fluctuates when in use.. not much fluctuatation tho but d current doesn't look stable.. blinks like evry 2mins... Ever since i bought the gen, i hv neva used it for long so today i decided to use it to watch d Nigeria Tunisia match and it stayd up to like 1hr 30mins and it tripd off and on like d gen wsnt recievn fuel wel... I didn't overload d gen.. js my tv n decoder a fan and one outdoor bulb. I hurriedly switchd it off as i noticed d gen sound isnt stable.. sounds like it wants to go off at intervals even when i switchd bk my controller to nepa meanin there was no load on it.. pls i wana knw if anybdy can help with it. I don't js wana tk it to any mechanic yet without havin an idea to what might be wrong... so guys pls help out..

I called Prof and he gave me tips. u w have constant created boldly on the tank, engine tank and other places too. I didn't go with any mechanic as some of them collide with Generator seller to inflate price... you should get it for 67-69k

You should get it for 67-70K lesser than that should be fake... Where do you stay maybe I can help you out??
