In developed countries, cinemas are like the mall. Even poor folks can afford to go there. Here, cinemas are a luxury. A statement of class. The industry's regulatory body can't handle this alone.

Genre: Action, Crime, Drama
A very satisfying movie filled with action, suspense and outstanding acting showcased by Hollywoods two finest, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Storyline was well written, Pacing was good, so was the music. Had a few pardonable plot holes here & there. All in, it was an enjoyable Western Classic if you ask me.

The craziest part out of all of this is Bale was only paid $10,000 for the role.

Been a very busy week for me and was only able to see just 1 movie and i unfortunately picked "The Professor"...straight to ratings first solid 4/10. Very forgettable movie to say the least. The synopsis was cliché to say the least and i was banking on the brilliance of Johnny Depp to save it but alas the movie was weird and heading nowhere and i just peeped the RT rating and is at 10%. Btw Johnny depp hasn't been in anything good in recent times dunno if it's the Amber heard's issue. This man is a brilliant actor with immense talent..am fearing that he has already peaked.

The thing is he's very picky. He mostly pick challenging eccentric roles, and with the notable exception of his Jack Sparrow character in PoTC franchise, such roles alienate the audience. He has definitely peaked.

Spot on, had my fill of his eccentricity after "The Lone Ranger". Just wanted to see him delve into other roles that i know for sure his talent can measure up to but sadly he can't.

Another eccentric role. The point being he has rarely (if ever) taken on a normal role ordinary people can relate to. He's in a rot, and needs to branch out to become relevant again.

Methinks Depp's too eccentric to delve into a more mainstream role. I mean, look at his lifestyle, his dressing habits, eating habits... the guy practically exudes eccentricity from every pores. He's able to convince in eccentric roles because they are him.

He's very talented, no doubt, but he's no Matt McConaughey/Christian Bale.

Fantastic Western that thought me a lesson in principle and true grit. I doff my hat to Bale's character for taking on an impossible task and completing it even if it did cost him his life in the end, and Crowe's character for being principled enough to recognize the unyielding courage of it, and letting and even assisting Bale's character in completing the task. A very heartwarming and simultaneously poignant story about courage, perseverance, honour and strength of character machismo, easily one of my favorite westerns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the last time he took a role in a non-eccentric character from my memory was in Transcedence.
That film tanked badly.
