See ehn ..let's stop the blame game None of us here blamed Rohr when we defeated RSA and Cameroon. We can't just win every time. Most of us here saw the omen some days back. Though it is painful but those team wey crash out at group stage, are they not a team? should they go and commit suicide? IMO Rohr should not be sack. The NFF should rather employ an efficient tactician to complement him. 5 Likes |

cc12: I expected Rohr to bring in Aina for Awaziem instead of substituting Chukwueze. Awaziem is good as a defender but not good as a RB. It was very glaring. 2 Likes |

Algeria were the better team. There's no denying that. Ndidi is a good tackler, but he still needs refinement. He conceded 3 fouls that led directly to goals at this tourney. This is the kind of game that Mikel in his heyday would've bossed any day any time. I don't agree with the calls to sack Rohr. Sack him for whom? Let's give him till at least Afcon 2021. He has done well. Not to be Captain Obvious, but can we go and beg Enyeama to come out of retirement or TB Joshua (or OPM pastor) to heal Carl Ikeme? We need at least two more CMs. Etebo has improved massively, especially with his ability on the ball. All In all, they did their best. We need to move on from here. 3 Likes |

The Untold Story of Emmanuel Amuneke’s ‘Mysterious Football Tactics’ [Won FIFA U17 World Cup In Chile 2015] By the round of 16 matches, it became obvious to the Technical Study Group (TSG) that Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will eventually win FIFA U17 World Cup trophy again in Chile. Thanks to Emmanuel Amuneke that tutored the boys so well in tactical discipline. He made it seem so easy, as the Nigerian team outright outshine their opponents with superior tactical approach; something that looked fresh out-of-box. Not even TSG, with their years of experience, could decipher what pattern Amuneke was using. It was incredible how the Nigerian youngsters switched positions at ease. You always found five players crowding the midfield; with play-maker Kelechi Nwakali playing deep, more like a defensive midfielder. But at intervals, he quickly switched into the attacking role as the point-man Victor Osimhen drift away to the wings dragging along the opponent defenders. https://cheeronnigeria..com/2015/11/the-untold-story-of-emmanuel-amunekes.html?m=1 3 Likes 2 Shares

Rhor and perewinkle startegy: Perewinkle will remain inside its shell until water it is immersed in becomes hot. Our coach plays defensive until his sides concedes before he comes out to play. I noticed this in all our matches especially in the knock out phase. This strategy is counter productive especially when you look at the attacking talents we have. For those celebrating this semifinal as if it's something new for our football, I weep for you all. When Shuaibu Amodu, was making this same semifinal and qualifying us for worldcup it was not enough abi? How is this coach different from Amodu? I prefer my team attack like Pep Guardiola's team and not win tournament than play like Rhor/Amodu's team and not still win tournament. I delight in the entertainment part of the game because I'm not loyal to any team asides super eagles. This guys kept me awake all night. Our coach strategy is nauseating. Our goal keepers and nauseating. Our defence was very okay. It's not as if a team defence should not be breached throughout a match but who you have behind the defenders does not inspire confidence. During the free kick, our keeper took a step in the opposite direction before going for the ball and nobody noticed it. Rhor should go. This result is not different from what our local coaches would have achieved. Let NFF pick a capable local coach and give the person same working environment as they've given Rhor, let's how it goes. Let them learn on the job as we have done for Rhor. 1 Like |

Nigerians always overrate the Super Eagles. This is a team that has failed to qualify for the previous two AFCONs. Getting to the Semis is a pleasant surprise. If you like bring Mourinho, they are not going to play better than this. You can only use the available players and right now, Nigeria doesn't have players to dominate the continent. How many Nigerian players are playing in top clubs? Rohr is not the problem. Nigeria fans' unnecessary expectations is the problem. 7 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:Am telling you sir,he will still lack something which will made us want him sacked in future. Since your choice is Amuneke, why not pair him with Rohr. Did you watch how his team played on this tournament? we would have been calling for his head now if he was coaching SE |

Rohrs Inability to kill time, as evident in both of the competitions he's been in charge as our coach is a product of his lack of intelligence and pragmatism as a coach. Doing what he ought to do (substitution) and successfully running down the clock would have eased the tension and fatigue on his team and provided time for him to restrategise and talk to his boys. This is Deja vu of the WC. A familiar mistake knocked us out of the competition. 1 Like |

We need some humility with regards the SE. Rohr has taken us some distance away from the sorry state we found ourselves post 2014 world cup. Frankly, I don't see any local coach handling the team as professional as Rohr has been able to..some may postulate that a few are tactical better but they come with way too much baggage. If the NFF cannot get a foreign upgrade on Rohr, he should be left to continue. 3 Likes |

Musa is not a winger he is a false 9. He was poor for Leicester City as a winger. We seem to have forgotten that against Iceland, we played a 3-5-2 with Musa as false 9 on the left. Musa has the pace but lacks trickery which is essential. It's this trickery that gets you out of tight situations. 1 Like |

komekn: I still wonder who does the selection in the national team. We need to reinforce the mildfield with fresh players. The likes of Eberechi Eze, Tega Onomah, Ovie, Semi Ajayi (if he moves away from league one), Joe Aribo (if his team gets to play in Europa League and he performs), Ramon Azeez (if he gets to play in the la Liga this season), Abdul Ajagun (if he gets to play in the Belgium Pro League or a better league this season), Azubike Okechukwu (if he gets to play), Nnamdi Ofoborh (if he gets game time in EPL), Dele Bashiru (if he gets to play in a decent league), Aniekeme Okon (he should be given the chance), Kingsley Michael etc. should be tested. We should draft in more players in the attack to make it competitive. Lookman Ademola, Issac Success and Noah Bazee should slog it out for the wings position. We should watch out for Sheyi Ojo (fc Rangers) and Bobby Adekanye (Lazio). They can be a good addition for the RW position alongside with Noah Bazee and Isaac Success. Chukwueze should be given the competition to bring out the best in him. Lookman Ademola can slog it out with Simon Moses and Henry Onyekuru on the LW. Enough of makeshift players. Ahmed Musa should be moved to SS or S position. In the striker position, Olanrewaju Kayode, Taiwo Awoniyi and Sunday Odey should be given the chance to prove themselves. They should slog it out with Osimhen and Ighalo. We can watch out Josh Maja and David Okereke. Onuachu!? In the defence, we need to bring back Idowu to slog it out with Collins on the LB. Ebuehi and Aina should slog it out for the RB position. Then, Tomori should be chased after to represent us. Uduokhia should be added into the team. The goalkeeper department is one the problems we have. The goalkeeper trainer should be sacked and replaced with a more competent one. Then, we are good to go. 3 Likes |
