That was when she asked me if I will be able to work under pressure. I was thinking she wanted to make me the store keeper or manager. Till she asked if I can lift bags with those men for 2000 per day.
The devil and hunger in me almost wanted to make me say yes...

After secondary school, I got a job with a small company producing gin without nafdac number, and the pay was 600k, yet salaries were owed...

I once got a job after NYSC in Ikeja with a selfish Lawyer's property firm in 2008 closely related to the family that owns Chrisland school.
I was placed on on a 30,000 monthly salary that was barely enough and the only old car was rarely fueled for me to go out that I would sometimes fuel from my pocket and when I sought refunds, I wouldn't be given.
To cut story short, I started using the car for job hunt till I got a job with a Bank in Victoria Island that paid up to 4 and later 8times what I earned.
I left the job for them even forfeited my final pay in lieu of notice

I applied for that job then, got invite so I ll have to shuttle from ikorodu to mushin , woke very early to beat traffic in Lagos.

On getting there, after unending wait, a man walked in started to tell us how salary job is spoiling Nigerian youth future, how the so called certificate is as useless asbeancake paper, how they v been changing the story of many Nigeria both young , old , literates and illiterates.



In short, after a very long sermon of over 3hours , we were able to decode they are one of these petti marketing company full Lagos .

We were told to pay 12k for registration after world most sweettonque I ever see, some actually stood up to pay which I believe they are the same, can anyone guess what they are selling

There was this month I missed work for 8days starting from 1st and came late 2 times, after calculating what my pay will be if I work the remaining days , I just left and didn't return.

Omo see chumchin and our leaders keep wasting billions on irrelevant things... No job and them say them dey fight crime....

So I got this job of an Electrician in a furniture company at Bode-Thomas. Though the pay was meager but I decided to boost my knowledge since !y role goes in line with !y qualification.

I got paid on my first month of joining them, but subsequent months no pay, I would walk from Ijesha to office to and fro on daily basis.

The CEO would get supply of millions of naira, the next thing is to fly abroad with his wife to enjoy. His workers that brings the money are left to suffer, he doesn't care.

I decided to resign but the MD pleaded that he would speak with chairman, and he actually got him convinced and he increased my salary with more responsibility; that I would now supervise cleaners. One of the cleaners told me that he was also employed as furniture technician until he was asker to supervise cleaners now a full time cleaner.

Na so I resign fully; the small salary you can't pay how am I sure you will pay the new pay.


I got a teaching job in IKD, I worked for barely three months and a govt job offer came my way.

There was this very long ASUU strike. Decide to get a job seeing that it wasn't ending soon.

I saw a sign; FACTORY WORKERS NEEDED

Got there and discovered it was GNLD, after plenty talk, they came clean and told us it was actually a sales work and we'd become managers and manageresses (whatever that means) after only three weeks.

So, they offered a free training, and after plenty of motivational speeches, the trekking began.

We almost trekked the whole of Delta state and when we finished, the manager asked me how I enjoyed (God forbid bad thing) my sales experience.

Me: (already angry and with running nose from the trekking) It was great, I'll resume tomorrow

Oga manager called and called, I no just bother pick him call.

After the talks the owner drop one create of coca cola an advise the take home which is (8k) and I will work for 24hr.
I did not waste my time I drank 5 bottles of the minerals and close my eyes to so him how wicked I am

As my NYSC was drawing to a close, the headmistress of the school I was serving told me she had talked to the ministry of education supervisors and they have agreed to take me as a staff of the school.

I was like wow!

I asked madam, how much us the salary, she said 10k. I said madam, I mean the pay at the end of the month, she said is 10k not enough for you? That's what they pay us o.

Na do I tell am say make I go show my parents my certificate first. I will come back and start work.

She went to tell the students that I will be coming back to teach them.

They've been waiting for me since 2013.

Eyah I feel bad for the students who might have been expecting u. More like the coming of Christ.
