Alright, thank you.

Dare002:

1) Why not have your passport sent to the PA so you guys can submit together?
2) The PA must land before the SA.

Can I use my SIWES job experience of 1 year? I was paid in cash although the company gives me receipts of payments.
NB: I was in year 3 in school then even though it still falls within the ten year range?

If a couple gets PPR, can they mail their passports separately because they are not together in the same country at the time?

Send a mail to CIC requesting that you submit your passports at different places. As you don't know how long it will take to get the passports back from them, and it isn't very ideal to be without Id in a foreign country

Thanks for your advice. I'll make that request to CIC. I have another form of ID issued in the country I'm in and this ID is more valued than a passport as a means of identification for foreigners. Hopefully it all goes well.

URGENT!!!

Please I got an ADR today to provide proof of bank statements and pay slips for the entire period I worked in a Company however, I was paid cash throughout my stay at that company. When applying I uploaded the pay slips for the first and last month I worked in the company together with my reference letter. Would only the pay slips for the rest of the months, spanning all through my stay suffice as supporting docs? How else can I proof this to CIC?

Oh God bless you ma.
What's NPC birth cert and who are we to address the letter to? Thanks so much for your help

NPC Birth Certificate is National Population Commission Birth Certificate.

I was asked to write a letter and my husband was to sign. This was because my husband didn't follow me to the passport office. I also submitted my husband local government attestation. I could help you ask for the format if you need it. The guy that helped me gave me the format before i went there.

You can only claim experience from 2009 till date (that’s experience in the last 10 years). Except if the 2008/2009 ended around December, which will count as 1 full year, then you can add.

Thanks

I almost changed my mind too at a certain point, wanted to withdraw my application and just stay back here and continue the Naija struggle. The delay can play some crazy games on your mind.

ladymarshall:
[color=#000099]Congratulations! grin

You must be interesting in person. You almost withdrew your application because of CIC delay? You vex reach like dat grin

Now you have gotten PPR, yet you still want to order GCMS notes out of curiosity? grin That $20 can buy pizza and ice cream on landing o grin

Reminds me of one in the Indian group who got COPR but was worried his status is not showing approved in his CIC account. Like seriously? grin grin

There's something I'm yet to understand properly o.
Assuming I'm single when I dived into the pool and get married after ITA/AOR, will my point be recalculated or not?

joo2018:
Only a small correction to the misrepresentation part.

It is only misrepresentation if you list yourself as single when you are already married.

You can always change from unaccompanied to accompanied, but as you noted, the points will be recalculated.

MY PR JOURNEY PART 2- IELTS (a.k.a The humbler of men & women)

Hello my beautiful e-fam,

All Praise and Glory be to God who makes all things possible in his own due time. Its IELTS breakthrough... Am so happy I've crossed this hurdle. The journey has been a tough one. I 've decided to share my timeline to encourage someone out there.

TIMELINE:

1st: (Nov 10 2018)
LRSW- 7.5,7,7.5,7

2nd: (Dec 15 2018)
LRSW- 7.5,6.5,6.5,7

3rd: (Jan 19 2019)
LRSW- 8.5,6.5,7,7

4th: (Feb 9 2019)
LRSW- 8,6,7,6.5

5th: (April 27, 2019)
LRSW- 7.5,8,8,7.5

6th: (May 23, 2019)
LRSW- 7,8,7,7,5,7

7th: (July 6th, 2019)
LRSW- 8,7,7,7.5

All MOD IDP (LAGOS Mainland)

No REMARK

LESSONS LEARNT:

1) Prayer is the key; however faith without works is dead. I mean hard work ooo. if you can fast sef....pls do. God factor in this waka cannot be overruled.

2)To the 'otondos' (first timers) please do not rush or put yourself under undue pressure to sit for the test. Take your time until you are fully ready and prepared. Never underestimate any module of the test. I underestimated reading thinking shebi its just reading without practicing and so reading also decided to pay me back in my own coin.

3) Practice! Practice!! Practice!!!. The importance of practice in ALL modules cannot be over emphasized. Practice like your life depended on it.

4) Never be over confident. Its easy to think because one is a native speaker, the test would be really easy. That's not true at all so don't relax. Its not the regular Nija contextual English (lols dts wat hubby calls it). I can boldly tell you that IELTS humbled me.

5) Dont give up especially when you dont get your desired result in the first attempt..its normal to feel discouraged and downhearted, but giving up is not an option. Never feel that you are an 'olodo'. There is no fail or pass in the test. Like hubby will always tell me 'we die here', lols but thank God we did not die here.

6) Be prepared financially...its a real investment.

7) You can ACE IELTS...its is not impossible.

ACCOLADES:

I'll like to say a big THANK YOU to my tutors because with God's help, they made this possible. Thank you for making out time to render free, selfless service on how to ace IELTS. May God bless you and grant you all your heart desires.

@wasseynewest: IELTS writing (task 1 & 2) boss....Yes he is the Lord of IELTS structure.

To my Le boo...he is the Chairman of Silent Readers Association..lols. @immunno...thank you dear for believing so much in me...you are the real MVP.

Made very good friends from this beautiful e-fam too....thanks guyss. God bless you for your support and encouragement. We will all celebrate lass lass.

For practice I used ieltsonlinetest.com, Cambridge books from YouTube. Watched some speaking tests on YouTube as well.
Used Jay, Liz.

P.s: Here's the "5 P's" i have learnt to adopt as my guide
Proper
Preparation
