We all want the dead wood gone but then again, we need to realize United is a business subject to the whims and caprices of its administrators.

I know Woodie and Co won't shell out anything substantial for replacing deadwood and only a tool will go into the season with a depleted bench.

And Mata got contract extensions under his watch....i no wan call the extensions of Young, Jones and Smalling here coz you cant expect a "caretaker manager" to be influencing who gets an extension and who doesn't.

A Lindelof and Tuanzebe defence looked ok. As long as none of Jones or Smalling dey that defence....and more importantly, as long as they dont both play together, that defence already looks better especially now that Young has been bounced.

I think they should forget about McGuire and put all effort into getting Fernandes and improving that midfield.

Don’t be deceived, Tuanzebe is not ready for that pressure. Right now a fit Jones is ahead of him sef. The only obvious odd men out in terms of style are Smalling and Rojo.

The Inter striker was a 17yr old boy not named Mason Greenwood. And Inter are a week behind us in training. Relying on Axel to be a starter week in week out is a recipe to missing top 4 this season.

From all indications, OGS seems to be happy with his present squad and I can understand the frustration of some of the fans...

Anyways, the TW is still wide open and I would wait till Sept 1st before I give my assessment of transfers (both in & out)

Its not realistic to get rid of those players without taking a massive hit on contract expenses. Those players are all on massive contracts. No one will match their wages anywhere else so they'll all sit tight. Who in their right mind will match Rojo's £160k pw?
