It was these same "sauces" that were saying Tfare and APL has no correlation, and everyone will be paid, yet Tfare seems to be stopped for a week now, and they have no idea on that.

All these APL is coming by August first week, about 1400 to be employed, oil producing states having extra slots, are no new things honestly, we knew these things already. The biggest news that can come from any source is to tell us why the Tfare was stopped.

Not that the same source that said tfare is in batches, Tfare has no correlation with APL, or everyone will be paid, will still come and be speaking in parables on how he/she doesn't care about Tfare, but the main prize which is APL.

Honestly, I don’t know the parameters. The info I got made me understand that a score is aggregated after the interview. That’s all I know

Equal representation they mean is every state would be represented however oil producing states would always have more allocation because the oil revenue is coming from there.

Peradventure APL is released and you happen not to qualify, please do not hurt yourself. The future is bright definitely. Not everyone will get the job eventually. You have done your part and now, there’s nothing physical you can do.

Okay bro

There are many sides to this selection process. I don't think it only boils down to state or village people fight..
They will also consider ones field.

They should have total number of GTs they need in each department.. So Let's say they need 60 ICT Gts, 50 geologists, 100 Pet engineers etc (just assumed figures)

If they should select based on the best candidates per state. They may not meet their desired departmental slots. You may have more science GTs than is needed or more Arts GTs.

So as much as each state is expected to get even slots (except oil producing states) . they also consider the available slots in the department depending on one's course of study.

So ure somehow expected to be among the best in your department.

It's possible that there are some core departments where they will select the best candidates in the interview irrespective of their State of Origin.. And then use other candidates from other departments or states to compensate for this.

At the end of the day, All states are still well represented.

We really do not know what method they will use. But I pray they will use the one that will favour you and I.

I studied Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and would like to know the fate and prospect of having a career in oil and gas industry. I wrote the CBT test but didn't get invite for the interview which raise my concern about the relevance of my discipline. I would also like to know if there's any Agricultural Engineer that got invitation for this NNPC interview.

If you were invited for CBT, that means you had a chance and could have been awaiting interview result like any other person today. It was not your course that made you not scale through CBT.

While I will advise you dont restrict your search to oil and gas, your course does not stop you from getting oil and gas job.

Some of us have been sweating to disabuse people's minds of the connection-only negative mentality of people.

It is common sense. NNPC has more than 5k employees. It is not possible that all of them were recruited with connection.

There will still be "long leg" even in this one, but it is not possible that all the finally successful candidates will be by connection. Minimum of 70% will still get there by merit. Why not fight for that slot and forget this pervasive negative yarn about connection.

This is true. I applaude the government's effort at ensuring a free and fair recruitment process for all candidates.
I had my interview on the 9th of July at NNPC Towers, Abuja. I had all my original and photocopies were sighted except my original birth certificate. I have since found it as soon as i got back home to lagos. I don't now know if i should send them a mail stating this or i should just wait. I'm quite worried. Please @Jarus i need your viewpoint. Thanks.
