DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 26 JULY 2019 MSCI on 25 July still inactive in the market. Market still waiting for more volume, let us see what will happen in the next 2 weeks. We should not forget our initial plan when we buy any stock. If we have bought for short term, do not let us convert it to long term investments. The time has changed, now there are more traders in the market than buy and hold investors! You cannot expect big profit like 50 to 100% in this market environment. Once you see some 20% profit or about 12% loss better get out of the market Take this advice with the usual terms and conditions applied Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). Yayira: I dey o, my sister. Been off-NSE for a while. I want my greediness to come at the right time. Few months past, I observed that when others were fearful, I was greedy. But the market did not pay my greediness so I quickly joined the fearful gang. Once serious H1 results start coming out, I will gauge the market again. |

http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/26828_JULIUS_BERGER_NIG._PLC._FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_JULY_2019.pdf EPS 2.73 as against 3.57. fair Q2 result, though an improvement on Q1. Good to buy at the current market price. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OakPearl(m): 10:52am On Jul 26, 2019 |
Bomboclad: Yes. And to think that QoQ EPS before exceptional items dropped by a woeful 46.8% speaks loudest of the result. I trust the NSE to punish it if this trend continues in successive quarters. Anyone who refused to buy during their intro by listing really dodged a bullet. 2 Likes |

WE NEED SOME BASIC KNOWLEDGE IN THIS MARKET ERA The believe in the stock market previously was that you buy the blue chips and then in some years you make money Those were the day before the cowboys joined the business community. Now without some basic knowledge (so many people without knowledge are still in the market, thinking that once you are on social media reading some relevant/irrelevant things or what your grandfathers told you in the past you are now a mini expert , welcome you will soon know the truth). I was about jumping up that the current earning per share for WAPCO is now NGN56, with 16billions shares in issue, wonderful!!! However, we should know that there was a "typo" on the report. EPS for WAPCO for 30 June 2019 is NGN0.56, let us be appropriately guided. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. Guys, I don’t know if I’ve been doing the right thing or been getting it all wrong.. If I want to get a stock’s fair price, I just divide the current closing price by the latest EPS Example for Transcorp I did 1 ÷ 4.89 = 0.20 kobo Lol abeg make una correct me if I’m wrong oo |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 1:24pm On Jul 26, 2019 |
Yayira: Hmmm.....This is wrong o. You can't divide Price (Naira or Kobo) by EPS (Naira or kobo) and get a currency (either naira or Kobo) 1 Like |
