Do you work or run a business in Nigeria? If yes what is your monthly income?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by FYsol: 5:33pm On Jul 26, 2019
May be its true. I got concluded email too on wednesday and I picked my passport with visa today.

Still waiting for wife's dispatch email

My son and I both got the application concluded in the email. I guess now if you are give they say 'concluded'

The annoying thing is by the time you see your passport and the decision, you will notice the date on it is almost 3 weeks ago.

Hey guyz I know this isnt the best place to ask this.. But please anyone can help? To get tier 2 visa, must my B.sc certificate be related to my job offer. Cuz mine may not be related but I have a job offer and the organization will be sponsoring. Eg. Having bsc in agric and getting a job offer in hospitality. Will it be fine?
It doesn't have to be related. What matters most is your COS. Tier 2 visa is point based and straightforward if you have all required documents. I got mine this week and my course of study is different from my job offer.

Your tie to Nigeria matters a lot not just about her paying for the trip.

She is just a friend so its not going to be easy getting a visa but not impossible

Apologies for late response. I've been on the move in Europe. Still no update. Never knew it takes this long to obtain UK visa.
beholddean:
Any update with your application? I am in the same situation. Used the keep my passport service and there has been no mail from TLS since 16th July when UKVI sent a mail that my application has been concluded

quote author=seyisanya post=80528283]I received same email on Wednesday 17th July and still nothing from VAC. I have a peculiar case because I used the "Keep My Passport" service(meaning my passport is still with me) because I need it for a different trip to Schengen zone this Wednesday.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by seyisanya(m): 10:10pm On Jul 26, 2019
I told a friend about this delay and he advised that I go to TLS with my passport. Unfortunately, I'm out of the country but will be back next week. Please, try and go to their office on Monday.

Did you call or mail them before you were sent this email, I have a similar issue with my application as the date of the program I was to attend was last week.

I called and mailed, both.

Not sure the advice you expect.

The document they have asked for are pretty straightforward

Submit an update travel plans and the supporting documents for the new date.

Thanks, av done that waiting for their response now

Hope someday this "Nigerian factor" thing will come to an end. Received "concluded" email from UKVI for almost 3weeks now, still no "pick up" email from TLS. Really annoying...

Your monthly salary income must not be twice your proposed trip.

So your budgeted amount should be less than N549780.

According to Oanda, which is what UK Home office use, https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/,

1200 pounds is N537,806

The budget for your trip for 1200 pounds.

Return flight budget is okay. 555.49 pounds

Budget for feeding. 50 pounds per day. 50 times 8: 400 pounds.

Taxi and transport from airport to your destination: 60 pounds

Taxi and transport from destination to airport when going back home: 60 pounds

One week bus ticket within city transport: 20 pounds

Shopping and Miscellaneous: 104.51 pounds.

This gives 1200 pounds. In addition, your sister should include her passport, documents, tenancy agreement and utility bill. In her letter of invitation, she should clearly state that she is responsible for your accommodation and that you and your baby will live with her in her house.

You also need to submit your vital documents such as cover letter stating reason you are traveling and state the above budget there and that you are returning back to Nigeria. Also include in your cover letter that you will be living with your sister in her accommodation that she has offered you to stay there for free. Include your employment letter, letter from company approving your travel stating the day you at travelling and the day you will return to Nigeria, proof of home ties such as land. Consent letter from your husband stating that he allows and you will return to Nigeria (state the date of travelling to the UK and return to Nigeria).

In your bank statement, your monthly salary must be reflected. Any huge money and unusual money you lodge in your account should be accounted for and explained in your cover letter.

Include birth certificate of your baby, and marriage certificate to proof relationship of your baby and your husband.

Good luck.[/quote]

I was there on Friday. They didn't accept the passport. They said there has been no communication from UKVI
to collect and send down the passport, and we should wait for their mail.

They also said to contact UKVI and complain about the long delay if it is a concern
