So I had my interview today July 26, 2019. Got to the embassy by 5:30am. Was told to hang around and wait till 6.30am. We weren't attended to till about 6:30am. Our appointment printout was checked and stamped while we remained in queue. Schengen Visa was firstly attended to, followed by student visa. My documents were checked then I went to the reception to wait, there we noticed that the applicants before us spent longer time than normal. One guy came out from room 4 and was sweating that increased our fears.....lol.
But then my interview went well tho it was longer than I thought. I was interviewed by the dark woman in room 2.

Now to the interview

Me: Good morning
Vo: what visa?
Me: Student visa
Vo: Let me have all your documents
Me: Alright ma. Everything?
Vo: Can I have your passport?
Me : Gave it to her.
Vo: You are going for masters right?
Me: Yes
Vo: Which School and course
Me: SIA Gottingen
Vo: ok
Vo: Your email is.........(printed 2papers and gave me; confirm your data and sign)
Me: yes they are all correct ( then I signed on both)
Vo: Put your 4fingers, right hand first and then your left hand
Me: placed as requested)
Vo: Can i have your visa fee?
Me: Gave her
VO: Your passport photography.
Me: I actually forgot to remove them in between the cash, started looking for them until I remembered. Then I told her the photos are in BTW the cash and she already had the cash in her hand, she started laughing asking while I left the photos there. I just smiled and laughed too...lol

Vo: Alright. Lets start the interview now.
Vo: Have funded?
Me: NO ma
Vo: which school are you going to?
Vo: Course?
Vo: Why this course?
Me: Told her, she wrote down few words so she wouldn't forget while typing.
Vo: Is the course in English?
Me: Yes it's taught completely in English
Vo: Do u speak German?
Me: No, still learning
Vo: What level?
Me: A1
Vo: Have u been to Germany before?
Me: No
Vo: Do u know anyone in Germany?
Me: No
Vo: Have u applied for German visa before?
Me: No
Vo: why Germany?
Me: Mentioned few points.
Vo: Why masters in SIA?
VO: What do you know about know about Germany? I want facts ie geography, economy, government.
VO: Here is a three in one question....Why Germany? Why not Nigeria? Why not UK or US?
VO: Your interview has ended

PS my interview went well aside it was long, she spent time typing and repeating same questions

Thanks for reading.

May God grant our heart desires..... Amen

For our brothers n sisters doing dia MSc in Computer science related field.

Please tell us about the difficulties associated with you guys coping on PROGRAMMING AND MATHS especially the programming part.

What is your advice for people comin for this related field ESPECIALLY those who have little or no knowledge of programming (our Nigerian universities no dey help matters at all)

Please this is VERY IMPORTANT
YOUR IDEAS PLEASE.

My 2cents!

firstly, find out your area of specialisation. Computer science is a very big umbrella!

if you want to specialise in business IT mgt/business intelligence/ data science then get urself familiar with python/R but i will choose python as u can also use it for more than data analysis. python frameworks like django are good for backend dev. there are lots of opportunities in the data science field/ business IT mgt.

else if you want to specialise in software development. Then i will advice functional programming as its dominating the software industry and to me its easy to learn than dealing with some OOPs (object oriented programming languages) with steep learning curves. Javascript programming is good language to start with esp for work related purposes but don't forget to check ur course module to know the languages u need to pass. i learnt JS ( with emphasis in React Js) in Germany here and my life has never remained the same.

The best way to deal with programming phobia is to start coding. the more u code the better u get at it. I can help me with some resources and tips if need be.

Schönes wochenende !

It’s October 15th but lectures commence from September 30th

The people getting dates I have seen here are those who state on the German embassy booking page that their start date is Nov . You can use from Nov 15th and further. I am not sure you can get a date with that your Oct 15the date. Why don't you mail the school and appeal for extension of enrollment date?

Course: MSc IMES - Innovation Management
Status: Application under review
Applied in May as well.

So what can I do while waiting? Any ideas on the Visa application process?

I applied to this course too. On the website, they said that the results will be published on 15th August. They had earlier scheduled admission letters to be rolled out at the end of this month.

Good evening all

This AD issue. I had 2:2, I booked on July 2nd and Oct as start date and I don't think Oct was too early at that time. Even if I cancel and book with Nov as enrollment, I'll have to apply under CAT B
What should I do now?

Secondly, who knows about health insurance.
I can't block now, any help on how to do it and where here in Nigeria or anyhow Sha. I need to do it for my enrollment.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Good evening House! Please I would like to know which schools in Germany give Bachelors admission with only ND certificate. I got rejections in Bayreuth, Cottbus and Rhein Waal. I look forward to applying for summer admission, but I would like to be sure of schools that do not have problem with only National Diploma. Thanks a lot for any possible hints.

How do I book an appointment?
Should I open and fund a block account before booking an appointment?
What I have are my original documents, do I have to certify my photocopies?
How long does it take to get an appointment?

Please help a brother out.
