If it is not more deadly it is as deadly as HIV. Here in UAE if they detect just the scar of treated Hepatitis during your Residency medicals, you will be denied residency and asked to leave the country within 2 weeks.

A colleague of mine had it a Nigerian , “like play like play “ He was taken back to Nigeria by the company within one week.

It is better you discover it on time, showing symptoms at later stage mean you probably already have irrepiarable damage in liver. Cirrhosis of the liver is difficult to reverse which is the reason you must control the virus on time.

Yes I have done that and I was placed on a drugs from the hospital took it for like five month and I stopped taking the drugs when I noticed some side effect like pains in my liver I went for another test again but I have not Been able to see the doctor since then

Why did he place you on drugs, did he said your viral load is high and it affect your liver already.
My greatest concern is that there are few liver specialist in Nigeria, most hepatitis b patients don't need treatment. Again, it is not good to start treatment and stop along the way. Is better you don't start at all.

Many people get diseases at the hospital, but wouldn't know. How sure are you that that doctor usually sterilize his equipments before treatment.

That was how i saw a woman who took her son to a pharmacy because he was feeling feverish. I was there to get blood tonic and it was raining heavily. This woman came in with her son and told the pharmacist how her son breaths and how his temperature rises unexpectedly.

The pharmacist took the syringe on the top box and mixed different medicines , after he was done ,he attached the syringe and was about to use it on the little boy, i shouted "stop that ,why would you wanna use that syringe on him? you didn't even sterilize or open new one, is this how you guys do here?

The woman was telling me that what happen, he is a pharmacist and he knows how to do his job. I just wept and smh . The idiot told me that he forgot, that he was in a hurry and wanted to go for an important occasion.

He opened new syringe and used it on the woman's son. After he was done the woman took her umbrella and hurried home. I was like illiteracy is truly a disease.


It is even safer to take herbs or go to a good hospital where they have lots of equipments for treatment.

You might never know until it happens
Some people still descriminate even here in Nigeria
I'm currently in a delima with a top bank in Nigeria
After passing every necessary recruitment process
When it got to medicals I discovered I was HIV+ just like a few other people who discovered or probably knew before they had Hepatitis B
Cd4 was still high so I was just fine
I started treatment immediately
I still can't spot the difference as no dramatic changes physically
Its been a few weeks now and no word from them yet

I was diagnosed of this disease In 2016, after taking the morning anointed water from prophet TB Joshua I went to another hospital and run some test to my greatest surprise I was nagative with no sign of Hypertitis B in my body, I doubted it n went to two other reputable laboratory there in Abuja but all the results was nagative, I spent a lot of money in running those test though. I'm taking Lamivudine now, a drug approved by the USA for it.
There's also an HIMALAYA products for it and also take rain soul.

My new born's mom was diagnosed during her pregnancy period that turned positive. And they health centre workers demanded I come and run my test to ascertain if it infected me. But lo and behold I'm negative. But haven't taken any vaccine yet, only my new son has yet at birth.

My challenge now is that, we have being on formula for the guy since his birth now. Because the health workers advised we don't breastfeed him, unless the mother is vaccinated at a whopping sum of 70k. Which we strived to afford but they became unreliable somehow.

Now how do we start breastfeeding the boy, how do we start treating it and at which hospital can anyone here recommend and how do I do my preventive vaccine?

Sorry for my language, Gastroenterologost/liver specialist are the same.
