That's the biggest problem our players have. How on earth can such a young player turn down the opportunity to showcase his talent in a better league where he stands the chance to attract bigger clubs with better pay package? Our players lack ambition and are just after the money. I believe the reason why he rejected the was maybe because Monaco offered him less money than what he gets from Everton and Galatasaray. If I were to be Rohr this fool no go smell national team again ![]() andrew444: |

Onyekuru says he wants to remain in Galatasaray where he won the league and cup double last season. Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru has turned down a move to Monaco to remain with Galatasaray where he played last season on loan. Onyekuru was a subject of an interest from Monaco who had agreed on a €15m deal with the forward’s parent club Everton. Pulse Sports were told that the forward was set to undergo a medical ahead of the move to the French club but the 22-year-old has turned it down to remain with Galatasaray. |

No young talented player with ambitions will turn down Monaco in favor of Galatasaray. If onyekuru scored 16 goals in the colors of Monaco last term as he did in Turkey bigger offers would have been on his table now from numerous clubs. The agents that manages the affairs of our players are all selfish. If he moves to Monaco and perform as he did in Turkey last season his life will automatically change cus bigger teams will be sniffing around him with more juicy offers andrew444: 2 Likes |

charlesemeka85: Agreed but don't just blame the agents ,can't the players make decision for themselves? An sure if onyekuru moves to Monaco rohr will have no excuse to bench him ,because you can see what happened to Samuel kalu when he joined Bordeaux |

Exactly and playing in the French league will make him more popular because he is one player who I believe will shine in the Ligue 1. Monaco is an attacking side and gives players freedom to express their selves on the pitch. He will score goals for fun if he joined them which will attract top clubs from the serie A, epl, Bundesliga and laliga. Even psg will be tempted to get him by all cost. Galatasaray is a massive club but onyekuru is way too talented to be plying his trade in the Turkish top flight. He will only gain the recognition due to him if he stars in a better league andrew444: |

A good case of study is Nicholas pepe. If he scored tons of goals in the colors of besiktas, gala or fenenbache last term as he did in lille no big team will take him serious. The best move he would have got is to move to a mid table team in laliga, Bundesliga, epl or the French league andrew444: |

Earthquake1:This is a new season bro and Monaco is still Monaco and they're not in the class of Galatasaray. They sold almost all their key players going into that season where they finished so poorly. And they'll most likely pick up to where they belong in the league the Ligue one as an elite club. That's one of the reasons they went for Onykuru... This should be a precious opportunity and privilege to him but he rejected it. 2 Likes |
