lasisig5:What do you were giving? No be you apply for the course? Anyway, I don't know how you were able to convince them to give you such a course. But it still depends on your current job and how many years experience you have on the job. Switching is not a problem. Progression can come from either previous BSc or current Job. |

lasisig5: Hello Lasisig5, Irrespective of some success stories on course switch or program type, and despite it not impossible to convince the VOs on the sudden switch, but it seems almost impossible and tedious to layout points that can easily convince the VO that you are a genuine student. However, my advise will be in options: 1. You can decide to pursue the prospect course with a more tangible points on why the switch. This convincing can be done by using key words that reference the economical nature of Nigeria irrespective of the studied course or current profession. Hence, the SOP should be constructive. 2. If you've been refused before on purpose of visit, it will be advisable to change your intended course to something related to your previous course. Don't worry about the waiting time to beginning the process again OR you can readdress the VOs concerns with both the LOE and a SOP to provide more clarity about your prospect course as aforesaid in point 1. BTW these days of SP wahala, irrespective of how tight an application might seem, the principal aim is to try to convince the VO of being a genuine student especially with the SOP and related documents that supports/hows experience and expertise in the area of your prospect course. Good luck! |

nicerichard05: The funds im your personal account seems good as you will be having a total sum of 3.7 which will sufficiently cover you LE and a good show of commitment from your brother. He should also do well to at least pay for your 1st semester or year tuition fees. Endeavour to get to be familiar with the school's refund policy. If possible, your brother should sponsor you with his personal account than company, but if he is financially stable with his company account, then no worries either, he should do well to provide necessary clarity in his LOS. Good luck! |

Advil: Literally, a offer or acceptance letter reference same meaning especially in Canadian SP but could yet be slightly different depending on the institution. However, there is no harm applying with either. How will this government scholarship funds be made available to you? Does it cover you full educational and LE expenses? Has this type of government scholarship programme/initiative been in existence? What branch/body of government is issuing this scholarship? You just need to answer these questions within you. My advise: Endeavour to include a proof of funds and other supporting documents for source of funds. Good luck! 1 Like |

lasisig5:"You were offered Global Business Management even though your previous course was Microbiology, and you already wrote your SOP": it appears you have a decision made already, and considering my ignorance of your reason for this change in career, I will suggest you show a genuine motive for this significant "change" while writing/editing your statement of purpose. |

JustMellow: Tnx for ur response, the first yr sch fees will be paid in full in December. The company statement nd financial books looks gud too. He spends more for personal use frm his company acct, so I think dats why his personal acct isn't well funded. Den d fix deposit is in his name nd it's a personal savings were interest come in. |

jossywayne:Not all schools require IELTS result, however, most schools who does require an English test will not accept 5.5 band score, therefore, I will suggest you keep the result and search for schools whose admission is not based on an English test, especially for Nigerians. 1 Like |

Hello guys, can we please consider this hypothetical situation; Mr A applies into SCHOOL A and SCHOOL B for Master's program, Fall term. School A offers Mr A an admission February. Mr A prefers SCHOOL B to SCHOOL A, but SCHOOL B was taking too long, and as a result, MR A applied for student permit using SCHOOL A's admission letter, to meet up with September. SCHOOL B's admission, came out 2 months after he had applied for student permit. So my questions are; Is it possible for MR A to change from SCHOOL A to SCHOOL B on his CIC portal immediately after receiving his student permit, without having to go to SCHOOL A for explanation or whatsoever ? Or will MR A have to attend a semester at SCHOOL A and then transfer to SCHOOL B ? Thank you. |
