Good day everyone. my study permit was refused on June 26th based on 3 reasons P of visit, family ties and personal asset and financial status. I ordered for gcms immediately and came about 30 days time and i think it is generic. says my study plan is vague and poorly documented, that I won't leave Canada after completing my studies. I'm 22 yrs of age. completed Nysc April 2019. profile is Bsc mass communication going for broadcast journalism PGC. Sponsor is father retired Manager with12.8m naira when I submitted but has reduced drastically to abt 10m. Now my Uncle, Father's biological brother (Same Surname) whom is a PR and his wife in Canada both want to write me a letter and act as Co sponsor in my 2nd application which I intend to submit In October they've been living in Canada for over 15 yrs. Note : I didn't declare my uncle and his wife in my first application as advised by my Uncle as he felt my ties to Nigeria will be very weak. docs submitted are. 1. father's employment and retirement. 4 documents. 2 fathers Data page and travel history. 3. My Industrial training docs. 2 of them. 4. Father's landed properties. a. his house plan, b.fifteen plots of land. c. He owns a agri business (poultry and piggery) but not registered with CAC which we truthfully said. so he did an affidavit of business ownership. 5. birth cert of me and only one sibling not from NPC though. just certificate of birth registration from local govt. 6. Waec, bsc certificate. Seems I've submitted so much docs. Now I've written a banging SOP and LOE to the concerned refusal reasons. I need advice from gurus . Frank.R, austacus, qudkom and other gurus. 2 Likes |

lasisig5:My dear, in addition to the advice given by @Justmelow which by the way if you ask me I would suggest you go with the option of starting the admission process all over by yourself, especially if your work experience doesn't have any direct relationship with Global business management, which brings me to the bold statements above. The implication of those statements are; 1. That the Global business management was not your choice of course since you said "it's the Agent that applied" for the admission. If this is the case, why then do you want to go ahead to embark on academic program that is not related to your previous study and career and then risk a possibility of visa refusal base on "Purpose of Visit"? 2. If you paid this agent "300k" to secure admission for you probably in a microbiology related program and the agent returned to you with an admission offer in Global business management, how certain are you that the admission letter is genuine? Has the school contacted you directly or have you made any effort to contact the school so as to verify the authenticity of the admission letter? Are you aware that submitting a fake admission letter is punishable by 5yrs visa ban whether you are aware of the fake document or not if a representative form was not submitted? Please verify the authenticity of the admission letter if the school have not contacted you directly. |

BHA1234:This isn't a problem. Obtain your study permit, fly to Canada, use school A admission letter to clear at point of entry. When you are inside Canada you can now update CIC via your MyCIC account of DLI change. This will save you a lot of stress and questions at the POE. 5 Likes |

Hello Fam, I am traveling by Ethiopian Airlines to Toronto through Dublin, Please do i need transit VISA during Dublin layover? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by g00dy: 3:49pm On Aug 04, 2019 |
This is a legit concern. I heard you have to have a US visa to stop over in the US. Since I don’t have, I have only European and African airlines as options. But if anyone has a contrary advise, it would be appreciated. Thanks Chinonye94: 1 Like |

ralfudoh: Thank you boss. That was my thought initially (and I think according to CIC portal), but two different guys I confided in said, I'd have to visit school A and request a termination or withdrawal of admission before proceeding to school B and most times the school will require me to spend a semester before transferring. Please is this something you've done before, or do you know anyone who has done it ? I just want to be 100% sure it's sane to ghost school A, change school through MyCIC portal and proceed to school B without repercussions (like when trying to get study Permit extension or trying to get PR). Thank you. |

Hey guys, I submitted my application on the 4th of July, and since then, I have seen that they have been processing my documents. I had my biometrics on the 8th of July and nothing else since then. About two weeks ago my profile was updated saying my biometrics is complete. I had my medical exam and police report upfront. Men and brethren, I check my profile like twice everyday...lol...but yesterday morning I got this email from them (see attached image). I am actually expectant they there will be good news for me this week, I hope this is a sign. 1 Like 1 Share

BaaleOfOntario:Hello, After a careful review of your profile.... I sense that your prime reason for a visa refusal was primarily based on your purpose of Visit and home ties to Nigeria. How did you explain the lucrativeness of the program in Nigeria and the demand for professionals in the field of broadcast journalism?. More importantly, work on your ties back home that will motivate your return home, e.g your parents who constantly needs your care and support, your immediate siblings who are looking upto in the family, your parents landed properties which you're traditionally heir to and must return to make lucrative use of it and develop your own company (if need be). Once you're done with the letters, do send it to any of the knowledgeable individuals here to help vet them and make possible adjustments were applicable. With regards to the bolded your uncle being your co-sponsor, you can certainly use him in your next reapplication. However your ties in nigeria must be well demonstrated and should supersede that of Canada. Include relevant documents to evidence proof of relationship like passport bio data page, birth certificates, and a family tree illustrating how your paternal uncle (sponsor) is related to your dad. 1 Like |

g00dy: Hi from the attachment you shared. It happens that you subscribed to the monthly updates on your application, that's the reason to why you're receiving the email from IRCC. Please be guided that this doesn't show a positive sign on your application. |
