Your hand luggage? Not possible.

The check-in luggage? Lol. They checked it. You just did not know. All the terminals it went through especially in the US it was checked. If you used a lock you would have known because they would have broken the lock and put a slip there telling you they did.
That’s it.....my bag was locked and the lock was intact

how many people do phd because of interest in research? It is always because monetary reasons.
A PhD is a research degree as such one has to have a knack for research.
A PhD is hard to bag, thus you have to have a very very strong "why". Ever wondered why people commit suicide because of it? Even those who finished it just wanted the struggle to be over.
Please and please don't do a PhD because of monetary reasons, do so because you are cut out for research.
This book "PhD grind by Philip Guo" will help you better understand why.

Many Nigerians do phds because it is an easy way to immigrate to US and do so with full funding. Most other people do phds because they have a passion for it, money is completely secondary. For the average American, you earn more working with a masters degree than you will earn doing a phd. Most postdocs also pay a paltry amount of money so most people you find doing a phd are people who are passionate about what they do.

But many people doing ordinary BSc have also committed suicide this year in uniben and oau. Almost every Nigerian is doing this because they have to not because they want to. Just like a Nigerian sweeping the roads under the very hot sun in Abu Dhabi hundreds of miles away from home and dancing happily while doing it, if he had a choice he definitely would not do it.

It seems your ears are itching for a reply. It seems you want to trend. I read your posts and saw that you are younger than me so I won't give you a reply cos I'm not sure how thick your skin is yet. Your interview is close guy, focus on that and get me out of your head. You jumping on the bandwagon to quote me when you don't know what I'm talking about because you don't have the experience makes you look like a busybody. You not having traveled to the US is not an insult, I haven't either.

Nobody should jump Into a PhD program out of lack of choices.
A PhD is like a full time job where you put plenty hours for meagre pay. If the aim for doing a PhD can be achieved with a Masters, then it would be pointless to do one.
The basic reason should be because you want to extend the boundary of human knowledge. When shit hits the roof, only your "strong why" would keep you going.

Please i would like to ask anyone in the know if California University of Management and Science is a community college, i checked on Princetonreview and saw that it is a Private not-for-profit (no religious affiliation) and they only offer 9 programs.

I am asking for a friend, he has been denied before so whatever the answer to this question i will show it to him so i can be able to direct him to this thread so he can learn more on his own so an answer will be appreciated. Thanks

Calums should not be a good choice, the school has many bad reviews and what will an international student do with that degree after graduation. It would be better to choose a better ranked school . ITs in the same category as VIU
