Jail them for at least 20 years ; Enact immediate death sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery;Install CCTV on all roads ;Implement a compulsory national ID database to keep track of all activities and movements - who is leaving and who's coming into what cities and states,or lodging in a hotel? Do that and watch the crime rate reduce to the barest minimum.
Bro easy now, we aint prisoners, compulsory national database, can't it be hacked? Guy track of who is lodging into a hotel. Oya, what privacy will you have if a government implement all this. Installing cctv on all roads is a good one. What we need now is a favour that will favour all category of people in the country

AMEN OOOOOO.

Seems the way EFCC is going one tenth of Nigerian youths 'that are into fraudulent ways' will be in prison before the end of 2019.

No wonder they hate their President.
Cause in the last dispensation, no one was there to checkmate or arrest them.
When the sitting president was even saying STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION!
And everyone around him was looting and scamming the nation blindly even his wife and frog-eyed paddy!

You can now see why criminals hate our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari.
Say No More! cheesy

Ason potoyi!!!!!!!!
You have mental case when last did you visit your doctor? If not psycho people like you keep saying Buhari is building the nation, which nation please? 5 good years now I did not see anything working, employment getting worst everyday, security %0, The power they promise we did not see any, the refineries they promise to build failed, the corruption he is even fighting is one sided fight, so you see why I said you are a psycho like that your useless president Buhari

10 years ago was worse than 10 years before then
I can continue listing, but it is of no essence. Since I have known Nigeria, it has never been Rosy. Where we are today is as a result of decisions taken 10 years ago, the results of today's action will really be felt in the next 10 years.

This government promised change they should have left the nation the way it was before the took power believe they would have been the best but they helped in worsening the countries issues. Only a fool still defends this current govt. Mind you quote me i wont bother to check.

False!

Their are other countries with high unemployment rate and are not known for scam.

It's greed and not unemployment.

Most of this boys you see won't take up 100k a month job. They are not contented or ready to climb the ladder. If the police and other security forces rise to the task ahead also, many of them will be in their graves incoming months.

Can u pls name d Countries with more unemployment rate than Nigeria and dere standard of living .. Hw do u expect a graduate that spends more than 1million naira for 4 yrs school fees to take a teaching job of 15k Per month?
If is not unemployment wat is it den... Almost 95% of those guys will take a job of 70k if given.. I don't see yahoo as a good tin but our leaders is the genesis of every tin. God as blessed us in this country but for an average Nigerian to see chicken chop na whala... Government should create jobs and see how things will change for good.... God bless Nigeria God bless me amen

EFCC needs to build more prisons.

Destroying the morale of the Youth while providing no SME Loans, no jobs, and even no government-funded Start-Up Incubators means you will push them to the wall, and like virus, they will reach that point of no Recoil, a Point of NO Return.

That is when the Arms Dealers will make money from the Cyber Terror Militants of West Africa.

I say we tread carefully. Give them opportunities like 247 Electricity, Capital protected Investment opportunities and SME Loans. Otherwise, a poor man with laptop skills will be too scared to be an armed robber, except I am wrong, in which case it is a worse evil. Having been kidnapped, I smile at Yahoo boys even if they take my money. Dont wish to be kidnapped, and I sincerely pray that hose kidnappers become yahoo boys.... grin

Bill Gates and Mark 'Nsukabag' would have been Yahoo Boys if they were Nigerians. grin Given how sophisticated our Presidency is. They are always on top of the matter.

And you yahoo boys, how hard is it to move to high ticket deals in the brokerage sectors or even Dropshipping? Why stay stupid to an old and dying old school game when there is something legitimate with a greater chance of scalability?

Silly boys.

I am interested
Can you school me bro??

Nigeria has malaria but is trying to treat itself with cough syrup.

It's pointless.

Npower is 30k, private school teachers are paid 15 to 25k, marketing job na commission or 25k at most, NGO na connection, govt work na connection. Time dey go. As day dey break person dey old.

Nigeria which way na?

Are Yahoo boys the problem of Nigeria? Ambode is having 9billion in 3 banks accounts. Just the one we've known. What about those hidden monies we don't know? Do you know what that money can do for the country? There are over 10,000 Ambodes in Nigeria draining the economy daily in the name of being a politician. Nigerians will lynch a man who stole a fowl and praise the ones stealing billions of naira. The ones stealing trillions and billions are the problem of the country. They are the reason you dont have light in your house. They are the reason you cannot get a free health care. They are the reason people die on the highway everyday. They are the reason cultism is on the rise and kidnapping is on its peak.if we have industries and other employment opportunities people wont carry laptops. Do you think Yahoo is easy? It is one 9f the most difficult jobs of you don't know. People would prefer to work rather than spend 5 years looking for one mega to give you less than 1000 dollars. Ignorance, ignorance and too much ignorance in the country.

EFCC are apprehending them in their twenties, while hundreds if not thousands are springing up.

Whether you like it or not, as Nigerians, crime is in our DNA.

YAHOO is a culture in Nigeria, prolly not in the North. It is a cankerworm that has eaten deep into our society, it would take a lot to end this sh*t.

The state of the country is not helping matters as well, the vast majority of Nigeria's staggering population are below 35, a country where there is a backdrop of opportunities. Deficit of jobs, how does man survive?

Survival instincts kick in, Charles Darwin theory, survival of the fittest.

Not everyone has the conscience to make clean money. Not everyone has the courage to invest in crypto, a lot of folks dont know the potentials of affiliate marketing. Many dont know the bountless opportunities awaiting them in the digital world.

They found their way, but then it comes with a price, and i guess they are paying it.

See my signature!

Nigerians have not flocked into affiliate marketing because there are no role models to emulate. This is the real reason Nigerian youth have not flooded into it.

Just take a look at blogging. They have done so due to the success of Linda Ikeji and others.

There's no role model in affiliate marketing. The closest we have is probably Ronald Nzimora.

Until the industry has someone who has made it really big in the industry, Nigerian youths won't flood it in droves.

You're right. They are a problem to foreigners in general, and to the United States in particular.

The United States government pays EFCC to carry out these arrests.

Another incentive for EFCC is that they get to keep whatever money and property they confiscate from them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 arrested 29 men suspected to be involved in internet-related fraud.

The suspects were arrested at Akoto Estate, Elebu area in Ibadan during an early morning raid carried out by operatives of the Commission.

Earlier, the team had conducted series of surveillance, working on strings of intelligence gathered on the activities of the suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’.

The preliminary investigation was found to be credible, leading to the sting operation.

Among the items recovered from the suspects are eight exotic cars, many costly phones and laptops, as well as documents suspected to be used for their illicit dealings.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The number of Yahoo scam practitioners among youths in Nigeria is alarming. Now you are bound to ask how many among them are making headway in this their illegal practice? Just few. But still they flock to it.
If you ask them to come outside to protest against the government's insensitivity to their terrible unemployment plight, only a slight number of them will comply, thereby encouraging the politicians to continue to mortgage their future by stealing their common wealth unquestioned.
When there is no indignant fire in the souls of the youths, how then will the country be rescued from political scavengers?
