it's the police share of the attrocities they commit nationwide, that useless Frank Mba that knows how to lie has seen his match in the Army, I remember his press briefing when Policemen killed an NSCDC officer in Nyanya, Abuja, this news tend to serve as a consolidation for that event to me.Didn't know NPF could be a victim..

Even if a Nigerian president from northern extraction arrest all Nigerians and put them behind bars...a lot of people from the north and SW will still be making noise in the prison, praising the president...

My theory is this:
The NA has been infiltrated by tribal men who are behind most of the kidnappings in the country. They call the shots and had to release their kidnap kingpin in order to keep their secret safe. To do this, they ordered the forceful release of the kidnapper in handcuffs.

I hope when the revolution starts we will know who calls the shot.

They the police made a deadly mistake, even in the developed world you can’t just arrest people from a certain geographical area without contacting law enforcement who are based in that area
Let’s use Timi Dakolo issue as a good case study where police were sent from Abuja without contacting Lagos police
This will always end in massacre until federal police starts contacting local police before carrying out operation in their geographical area
I know it’s risky since the suspect may have insider in the local police but that is what it’s,they just have to do it
Kidnappers are wearing police and army uniforms this days so it’s very difficult to identify if the operation is genuine but I see no reason why Army should release the suspect
are u an illiterate that can not read? So after reading, u can not assimilate.

Huncle, you are speaking big grammar.

If the so-called Defense Headquarters is not smart enough to develop a means of getting automatic pass to forces that are on special operation, this will continue to happen.

The police and the army have been having issues since I was a baby. To date, it hasn't ended.

The US was smart enough to set up the department of Homeland Security to address these things. I don't know why we live in a useless country.

After reading this story in the morning, it reaffirmed my conviction that Nigeria is finished!

Too bad...the truth remains that the indiscipline in our security forces makes one wonder what sort of training they got......

So much indiscipline

It's beyond that, far beyond in discipline, there is more to it than meets the eye, I am certain the kidnapper was freed by the Nigerian army on purpose, it could be due to order from above!

I dont understand. You kill 3 policemen to free a kidnapper. Something really sick is going on. Now, it is all making sense whats going on in the Northeast, is some part of the military aiding Boko Haram to kill their own soldiers?

This is why it will be difficult to fight for Nigerians.... The only effective revolution in Nigeria will come from the force....

This is one of the reasons it will be difficult to fight out insecurity... A body is taking it up while another body is bringing it down...

Nigeria is a sorry country Abeg!

Honestly because of the way NIgeria is configured...it made governance very easy to even a stark fool.

I have been to most countries around the world...None can be oil producer, with 2 million barrel every day, and have no working refinery...have no electricity and have bad roads everywhere and the citizens are quiet about it..Just take a look at Apapa - Oshodi road...This cannot happen the even small countries like Benin, Togo ad Ghana...To confirm this...Just travel from Lagos to Contonou. From Nigeria side to the border is hell on earth..while from the border to Contonou town is excellent...Yet the citizens are happy with it...

I am not saying it because of Buhari, but for previous government that failed as well.

The kidnapper is highly connected and have contacts in the NA.
I believe this your statement strongly .... Shameless army everywhere .... They couldnt keep the suppose victim in custody yet they released and then come to the public to spew lies here and there... Since the coming of Boko Haram i knew lies ooze out of that Army HeadQuarters... The heap of corruption there is enough to fill the pit of hell

The truth about this episode is that the policemen exhibited lack of professionalism. Taraba state is a "troubled" state - by bandits. It shows the Nigerian Army was not officially carried along of the evacuation of the arrested kidnapper out of taraba state. If that had been done, the army would have provided escort to the police team to evacuate the kidnapper out of taraba. This is purely a case of arrogance on the part of the police team.

Imagine seeing one of those idiots on the road collecting N50 from motorists decide to go on covert operation, it's like when your gate man is wearing your boxers. why won't they be shot. And I can bet the army guys on duty after a heavy dose of Sambisa weeds only saw kidnappers driving away while the real police ran into the bush and kai shoot the bus!!! As the Police shouted "we are covert force". It triggered the harsh weed in their brains to breaking point. Their annoyance is why would they say covert is it because they no go school" shoot this bloody kidnappers!!!

Try and be using your head.
So Police should be taking permission from the Army before they perform their constitui duty? When it's meant to be the other way around.

I think the arrest of the suspect would have led to the indictment of several key persons hence the order from above to rescue the suspect at all costs.

Our security agencies have been compromised.

What a shame. For the first time in this country the police and army are accusing and counter accusing each other. When they told us to expect a "next level" we thought it had to do with poverty only. Now even the security agencies are the first to have a feel of it.
