My question to police as well;

Why using unmarked vehicle for the operation without informing other security agencies?

Why they refused to stop at check point?

Why they fire at friendly force?

No case, RIP to those policemen.

When I heard the Presidency directing the police to investigate the incidence I knew it had already been swept under the carpet. There's no sincerity of purpose in telling the rat to challenge the cat.

You can see how the police is directing the army to explain to the public not to them. The police are probably at afar and won't go near.

If any one was to investigate. It would have been military police or naval ratings. Those are the ones that can match army man to man if anything tangible was to come out of the investigation.

So unfortunate. The NA is complicit. No doubt about it. Where is esprit de corps?

This shouldn't be happening at all if the country is to grow but unfortunately, it has happened. May the souls of the departed rest in peace especially if they were not part or in support of the news below when it happened.

The truth about this episode is that the policemen exhibited lack of professionalism. Taraba state is a "troubled" state - by bandits. It shows the Nigerian Army was not officially carried along of the evacuation of the arrested kidnapper out of taraba state. If that had been done, the army would have provided escort to the police team to evacuate the kidnapper out of taraba. This is purely a case of arrogance on the part of the police team.

The question remains : Where is the "kidnapped" gentleman that the soldiers "rescued" from the "arrogant" and " unprofessional" police team ?

Didnt the ex Chief Of Army Staff TY Danjuma already said that Army is complicit in fulani raids and massacre of villagers?

Hamisu demanded and got paid 100million dollars for a kidnapped victim. I wonder how many prople got killed to get this one highbtarget. ....by the way,

1 - who is this target that fetched 100million dollars.

2 - how does Hamisu circulate the money....where is the distribution?

This a clean case of murder especially if army can't answer a simple question ask by police, what a country? From d head to d least person are liars, what's going to be our end result if our leaders can't own up to a gleering Truth, I wonder how long we can go , we are so fearless and that's why nothing works in spite of how we prayed and worshipped God , we think God is a fool like humans, I really sorry for all of US in this country called Nigeria

according to the first report, they did not sit... 3 check point far. If they stop at the check point and it happened this way then I will believe that soldiers intentionally kill them but not... Is just like police did something secret about their assignments, it's right but they should have inform the friendly force most especially the route they follow. Very important sir.

You're a fool, and your foolishness is provocative. Where is the bloody kidnap "victim" that the Army "rescued" from the "suspected kidnappers" they killed?

Some of you are not qualified to be human beings.

Army's headquarters said that the police vehicle didn't stop when they were flagged down and that was why soldiers opened fire on them. Okay. But why wasn't the suspect killed or injured since army claimed that soldiers shot the car occupants? Where is he now that we know that soldiers thought that the suspect was actually a victim of kidnapping?

Police vs army! Make dem settle themselves by themselves. Their cup of tea.

You should be worried. If the useless army can kill police officers and the sweep the case under the rug, what do you think will happen when they kill you? Because you’re next.

You missed the part where it was reported that police station in the area documented their operation within the area? If they didn't inform others, how was the suspect release to them? Oh, you went with the army side of covered up story. Or, you expected them to radio every road block on the road. How is that even possible?

Why they refused to stop at check point?

You're a confirmed morron if you ever believed that part. They didn't stop but somehow, the bullets didn't hit the suspect who was in the same car that refused to stop. Anyone can be lied to, but you have capacity to use your brain in analysing the information before you.

Why they fire at friendly force?

Firstly, they didn't stop. Secondly, they fired at friendly force? How many casualties were recorded by the friendly force since you believed that police opened the fire first? How many were injured? None?

No case, RIP to those policemen.

Shove your rip up your yansh.

BTW: what would you say if the outcome of the investigation reveals that army headquarters actually lied? Will you come back here and announce to the world that you failed to make use of your brain when you were lied to?

There is no seem to be anything.
It's a lost cause since 2015 and it would take several years to undo the damage Buhari has caused, assuming Nigeria remains one before he leaves.

Since 2015? Dem take PDP swear for una? We were in this country under your hero, Jonathan when soldiers killed four policemen at Badagry, they used a very big stone to crush the DPO's head. That was a retaliation for the killing of one off duty soldier by the police in the area.

I weep for the families of these men, i am in tears now, it is very clear they were murdered by the army , after all the sacrificies made for the nation, this is what they get in return , now they will be forgotten, while the wicked men walk freely , how many bandits have they chased and killed since they were deployed there, if they had been chasing them like they chased those policemen, the bandits would not make a video, claiming superiority over the government, i once told a friend who is an officer in one of the forces, i cant join any force in Nigeria, because in Nigeria you die for nothing, whether in the army, police , airforce, navy, etc you die in line of duty, you die for nothing, no matter your heroic efforts, only wicked people are remembered in Nigeria , Nigeria is a failed state.

The Nigerian police is more intelligent than the Nigerian army and I can now clearly see why not haram keeps dealing with them. Imagine the army telling us that the police beat three checkpoints before they decided to engage in HOT pursuit in which the police force opened fire on them.

Let the truth be told...

Although Army has a case to answer in this issue but we have been saying this times without number on this platform that something seems to be wrong with the rules of engagement of the Nigerian Police Force. Imagine an officer carrying (AK47 riffle) while wearing musfty & in a private car for that matter. Yes, people can mistaken you for a kidnappers or an armed robber. We understand it is a norms here in Lagos. I have seen some police officers severally putting on babariga native attire brandishing AK47 while on an official duties & at the same time terrorising innocent citizens but Taraba is a troubled spot. A volatile area for that matter where kidnapping is on the rise.

Until things like this happened, concerned authorities will not take our opinion so serious.
RIP to the falling NPF officers.

Why not ignore the fool? A country where life has become so meaningless that citizens go to ridiculous levels to defend trigger happy criminal murderers in uniform, just so they don't criticize their inept tin gods in power. Nigeria is lost cause. Sad!

That's probably why kidnappers are having a field day. They believe that they will always escape. The security forces will become entangled in this guerilla war if this incidence is not well resolved in good time. For instance, who invited the army and why?

Sad loss to the IRT, their families and Nigeria as a whole. I remember watching Abba Kyari and his team ( probably including these guys) in a BBC documentary. May their gallant souls rest in perfect peace. Amen

What a shame. For the first time in this country the police and army are accusing and counter accusing each other. When they told us to expect a "next level" we thought it had to do with poverty only. Now even the security agencies are the first to have a feel of it.

^^^^
It isn't the first time. And it won't be the last.

About a decade ago, the Nigerian navy seized a ship for illegal bunkering of petroleum products on the high seas off Nigeria's coast. The ship and its crew somehow disappeared after the arrest - with thousands of litres of illegally bunkered fuel also gone without a trace. The navy initially tried to pin the matter on the police with bogus claims that the police had taken custody of the ship from the navy shortly after arrest. The media circus went on for a while until the police asked the navy to provide the signals confirming that indeed, the ship was handed over to the police.

The navy had no answer. undecided

The fallout of that incident was the compulsory retirement dismissal, court-martial and imprisonment of several senior naval officers.

We are now back there again. Three policemen and one civilian dead and Nigerians are being treated to this shameful back and forth exchange. The police have asked the question that must be answered: where is the kidnapping suspect that those policemen were transporting? Where is he? undecided
