Getting papers to do anything if you travel to the US illegally, is more difficult than it used to be.
Arrangee marriages for green card cost thousands of dollars.
This Trump's administration has made it a lot more difficult. They sometimes raid places where many illegal people work.
As for UK, work is very difficult for people generally. It's tougher in the UK

What if one Finds a citizen and Marry? Without arrangee?

This is the most sensible and complete comment so far. I read on with the hope that someone with sense will eventually come in to comment and you did. I find myself gravitating towards Quora more these days because the kind of pettiness on Nairaland these days is amazing. People rushing to comment on what they know nothing about just to be 'savage'.

Contrary to the overused stereotype bandied by ignorant people back home that all Nigerians based abroad do is menial jobs, IT'S NOT ALL NIGERIANS THAT ENGAGE IN MENIAL JOBS ABROAD. At least I can speak for the Nigerian demography here in the USA where I stay... we have LOTS of Nigerian doctors, pharmacists, Lawyers, Engineers, IT guru's etc doing very well in their respective professions here(we are abundantly represented at and in all levels of American labor) . While it is true that some Nigerians especially when they first come abroad engage in menial jobs to survive(and trust me the concept of dignity in labor is respected in developed countries like the USA, Canada, and some parts of Europe)where there's absolutely no shame in doing menial jobs, these Nigerians who start up with under the table low paying jobs due to paper issues, they still go on in few years to go to school and acquire degrees in good paying career fields(you can't take away ambition and goal from a Nigerian)... there's a reason why Nigerians are the most educated demography in America today. I've met Nigerian doctors, lawyers, business managers/owners etc today who were once security guards, cleaners, Cab drivers etc once. And for context, Most doctors in Nigeria don't even gross half the yearly income of a Cab driver in the USA!

The poster asked a valid, reasonable question founded on curiosity.

Back in the day, most of us had no one to entertain questions like this.
Thing is, here in U.S, there are jobs for those who can work.
There are no jobs for you if youre lazy.

And, no one gives you a job because you are connected to him or her in any way.
All they need to see is your work ethic.

Once you work from the heart, the sky is your limit.

Desperation was what I wanted you to put there.
It's okay though.

Desperation: the act of despairing or becoming desperate. A noun.

Desperateness: state of being desperate. A noun.

Mr Teacher, it can be used interchangeably.

at least you got the message

Don't be intimidated or misled.

Desperation: the act of despairing or becoming desperate. A noun.

Desperateness: state of being desperate. A noun.

It can be used interchangeably.

Additionally be confident; Google is ur friend.

Furthermore, your post was perfect originally, those who asked you to go for an English class where the ones in dire need of such.

Please I want to ask a question.

What do Nigerians who left the country and travelled abroad do (what's their sources of income), because some left Nigeria with no hope of getting a job abroad.

And judging by the desperation of the youth about getting out of this country I think they have the believe that once they leave this country the odds are in their favour. I really want to know what they do

Work as a normal person.
When you first arrive, depending on who you know, you work with somebody else's papers while trying to get your own (These are the difficult times) Depending on who you know, Luck, Prayers etc.. You will get your own papers (Might take between 6 months to even 5yrs) once you get yours, you are Free! (Burden off your shoulders etc and can travel back home to visit) Once you are Legal and Working it can take another 3-5yrs to become a citizen of the Country. With or without Papers, the Majority of Nigerians find ways to Work and earn a Living

Trust me, you really dont want to know otherwise, you will be so discouraged.
If we remove the advantgae that the "exchange rate offers" (like the One Dollar to #350), you will conclude that one has to be crazy to leave say a banking job in Nigeria, to run abroad. grin grin

But then, with Herdsmen killing Nigerians all over the place like Eid Fitri ram, they know that they wont die from the bullet of some strnager from Fuat jalon in Guinea. Even if a racist, white cop shoots them, chances are that the world would know and hear about it and there will be some protest.
Thats better than being kidnapped by a bandito-Herdsman, tortured, raped and eventually murdered in the bush.
We need to thank the Govt of this Buhari for bringing us even lower and deeper into this abyss.

It's the fault of clueless mods that push threads to front pages anyhow without allowing reasonable people to tackle the topic first.

That's why the recharge card sellers, p.orn guys, first to comment guys and other riff-raffs soil threads and prevent reasonable people from commenting.

Seems they have a minimum quota of topics to push to front page.

Leaving Nigeria has been the best decision I ever made. I only wish I left earlier.
I never get papers, but I'm balling hard. Making nothing less than 4000$ every month. I work 12 hours (6 times a week )My expenses every month isn't more than 1200$. This amount isn't near what I hope to be making once my papers land. It's almost here. Definitely going back to school...

If you want to hussle in the states, you must be hardworking and willing to do overtime .Start exercising before you come, that way the job won't be hard on your muscles lol. I don't see my job as hard though. Choose the right state. Forget the big states for a start. JOBS plenty where I dey.. Question is;you get the energy to work?
