ur elder sister in canada is telling u dont come to canada...wat are u asking us again? Who knows both u and canada better than her?

U are earning 500k in a sure job....wat do u think abroad is? A place where bad thing never happen? Where no one can die by mistake? Where money is picked on the road? Bruh

Let me ask u. Lets say dangote ran away to u.k like his mates were doing in the 70s instead of joining the hustle in lagos...do u think he would be better off now?

We all need to change how we view the world. Its not easy anywhere. Nigeria may not be great but many nigerians who traveled abroad became stranded and had to come back with nothing

Now I see why you're so bitter and negative. How did we miss this cheesy

I will be very thankful if anyone can help me with a well drafted sample letter of sponsorship from employer for student visa to embassy.

These ones are not from an employer but I hope they help as guideline.

I told you that you were silly and seem quite frustrated. You've not said what you do in your 'abroad' that's causing this your bitter attitude and frustration towards discouraging people unnecessarily. Return to Nigeria if you want to, nobody will judge you for being a Lorry driver in Dubai.
i am actually an engineer working in an oil company...earn good money and live well....but know that we have no respect here. Guy, no place like home. If i earn half the money i earn here in nigeria, i will think seriously about coming home

It’s your personal experience...respect or no respect, some people want to stay there. So don’t force it anyone. It’s not by force. If you are tired, you can come back and they will gladly take your spot since it’s only money you are after.

What you do for a living is actually inconsequential here, so long it's legit; it shouldnt. be anyone's problem or business.
How a man makes his money is up-to him, so long it's legit - it's fine.
It doesn't matter if you are a CEO or a cleaner;we all start from somewhere.

The problem with you post is your insensitivity(she mentioned she was recently widowed - that alone is enough for you to be courteous) and you choice of language.

You should be apologizing ,no need dragging this issue it's just a distraction .

Apologize and move on, we all make mistakes sometimes.

You don’t need to understand why they want to come over permanently because it is their choice. Like you said, to each his own. That’s yours so leave her to make her choice.

First, ask your sister what's her main reason from asking you not to apply (apart from the vo won't grant you TRV).
Now to the matter at hand, you can get your TRV if you package your app very well.
Since you said you earn around 600k/month it will be better if you say you and your brother will do the sponsoring together (one acting as sponsor and the other as co-sponsor).
Make sure you apply for a master's that is related to your current job experience or your Bsc (that's if they aren't related).
About convincing the vo, you can simply say since you lost your husband(God bless his soul) you feel going back to school will help you get more busy and help you get over him a little bit. That ever since he left you haven't been the same and now you just want to go back to school to help get your mind off. You can apply alone first while you use your children and company as home-ties but if you think you have enough fund to cover for yourself and your children then you can apply with them(but it means you will have to explain how and who will take care of them while you are in school)....
NB: Talk your sister again and ask her to give you other reasons why she doesn't want you to apply (apart from your age).
Come back here when you have discussed with her.
Good luck

Thank you so much. I know there's no heaven on Earth. I can't put everything about me on public space. I want to children to have access to quality health care because of their family health history, secondly I want them to be where they can have the opportunity to excel based on merit not on who you know. For me I need to be happy and be me, not minding people's expectations of me. Loosing a spouse raises lots of eye brow.
Pls no hard feelings everyone. Thank you for your thoughts. But I want to leave Nigeria pls I need your help.

pls this living expenses of 10,000 is it in CAD or USD.

mcobex:

1. They should write separate letter of support stating how much they will be committing towards your studies.
2. Since they are both retired, they should show how they earn a living (be it pension or other investments they have)... This is very important because they need show that they are capable of sponsoring you beyond your first year(that is if your program is more than a year).
3. Lump sum won't be an issue as long as you and them explain the transaction in your LOE and letter of supports respectively. As for who to send it to, they should send the funds to your personal account (since you are above 18 years) or better still pay your tuition and transfer your living expenses only into your bank account. But as for the tuition fee, contact your intended school to know their refund policy just in case(before making any tuition payment).
4. Their SOA of account is important, because the vo needs to know if they have enough to take care of you and themselves as well. Also like I said above, they need to show their source of income so as to prove they can continue sponsoring you beyond the first year .
5. You don't have to wait till after NYSC, apply while still serving but make sure you let them know you are still serving and will leave after service. Include your NYSC ID card, posting letter (if you still have it), a letter of introduction from your PPA(if possible).

Qudkom:

You can scan specific pages. With over 100pages scanning 25pages is fine.
● 1st 5 pages
● 5 pages of each subsequent month
● last 5 pages of soa

Also note that the scanned pages should tally with the range of inflow in the account. Dont scan pages that shows 60k,100k,200k only and then scan the last pages showing millions in inflow. The VO cares about the inflow in the account and the source. Also to understand thay the balance tallies with previous transactions....

I have d same issues now, jst that mine has 4NGN acct nd 1USD acct company acct. The pages are over 80 and I think my own personal SOA will be up to 15 too. I dnt knw how I am gonna do it. One of the acct is 48pages, 20page, 10page, 11, 10page, 3page nd 1page I think.

I have a young kid oh!
I was asked why I didn't leave them behind, after my response the officer told me that it was a wise decision considering how young they.
NB:I also explained how I intend managing them with my studies. Told him of the day care centers I have contacted.

Hi,
Am 43yrs old and was widowed a year plus ago. I just need a new place to retry life smiley. I intend to apply for a masters program. I have a brother who is willing to and financially capable of sponsoring me plus my name appear as a director in his company. I have 4 daughters. I earn about 500k monthly from my bro company and get a 100k support monthly from him personally. My elder sister in Ontario keeps discouraging me that since my Bsc is since 2000 and because of my age I may not be considered. Pls seniors kindly advise, I would like to have other opinions on my success chances.

Anyone, including a 43 year old woman, can get Canada visa once they can convince the visa officer plus grace of God.

(1) I think the real question is how will you take care of four daughters in Canada alone? can you please explain how you plan on doing this? If you don't have a solid plan, trust me, you will be stressed out. I hate to say this, you may even be depressed (God forbid and this will not be your portion) because you are without your hubby and you will constantly wish he was around to help out with the kids.

(2) Are you very sure the reason you want to leave Nigeria with 4 children is because of a change of environment? Please you need to know the "why" of your decision as this will keep you going once you move out and face challenges.

Please permit me to speak freely; until you can convince me of a good financial back up plan (not my brother promised or he is financially capable) on how you plan on taking care of yourself and 4 kids alone without family support (you will not get it in Canada), I will say don't move to Canada. Please, this is my opinion.

Taking care of myself, studying and working in Canada is hard work. Taking care of yourself plus 4 kids is extra hard work. You may likely not work and will be pulling resources from your savings in Nigeria for 2 years, till you get your work permit. Do you have those funds ready? can you pay for a nanny?

Let me add ...

(1) If you don't plan on taking all four kids along, disregard my suggestions above.

(2) If your daughters are above 10 years of age, then situation changes and makes it easier.

(3) Make sure you have at least 5 million naira cash in your bank account after paying your full tuition fees, which you can use in taking care of yourself, daughters food and housing. Why did I say this?

In your condition, you cannot be stressed out emotionally and start thinking of how to pay fees or take care of kids and so forth, else, you will freak out and break down.

(4) Do you have your own cash and not just relying on your brothers support financially should in case things go south? Can your brother transfer cash to your account before you move out of the country?

(4) Have you been on holiday since your husbands demise? I suggest you take a 2 week holiday with your daughters to Canada, UK or anywhere else, when you are back, think about the Canada study plan again before making a decision.

What are your plans should in case you get to Canada and your brother can no longer support you financially? How a single guy will react is different from how a mother with 4 kids will.

For example, if I cannot pay my fees anymore in Canada (I pray this does not happen to me), worse case scenario, as a single guy, I will marry a citizen grin… how would you, a mother of 4 react?

Identify all risks and prepare your contingency plans. Above all, please seek God's face. I honestly pray that the Almighty God will give you wisdom and direction in this next phase of your life. I do not like to sound spiritual, but before moving from UK to Canada, I fasted and prayed for 1 full week because I know if everyone fails me, God cannot fail. All I need in life is God. I wish you all the best

Quality of life (which is relative) is much more important than money to some. I am in Canada for my future kids, my own security and peace of mind. I want my kids to be raised in a sane environment and for them to have choices I never had in life. Having dual citizenship will give them a right to choose, a right I never had. Everything is not about money.

However, I must admit that some people are better of migrating through PR once they reach a certain level in life. Every case must be treated in its own uniqueness.

Good day everyone!
I am interested in applying for a postgraduate diploma in business administration. I will be finishing my HND next year. Now that I want to start arranging my documents for next year admission. I want to know if there chance I can get a student visa.

I have lived in Austria for 3years learning German and I have worked as chef in Mexican restaurant for 1.5years. Then came back to Nigeria to complete my hnd program. Is that a good Sop?

I really need someone who can put me through.
Thanks

Hi guys! Kudos to everyone for keeping up with the flow on this thread. I am actually an old follower and all the names seems new tho' except mccobex lol grin

Back to the main point, anyone coming to Western University or Fanshawe College this fall or winter 2020?
I will be finishing my program this summer and would like to give my room out to anyone who will be interested because I am leaving London to the GTA (2 rooms should be available but am sure of mine for now). The house is the cheapest so far in London Ontario considering the skyrocket increase in rent lately. The house is a 5 bedroom penthouse ( also known as Nigerian Villa grin cos for the past 6years, Nigerians living here has always been passing the house to other nigerians like am doing), the house is 3min walk to the bus stop, 6mins 1 bus ride to western and 10min ride to fanshawe college and also close to grocery stores, shoppers drug mart and restuarants. The room is spacious and located downstairs, you will have a bathroom to yourself and only get to share the kitchen and the common area with other tenants who are also Nigerians. The rent is only $300 per month, you have the freedom to everything as the landlord is a carefree type who doesnt come to disturb at all and also, you don't need to commit yourself into signing any long term lease because its month-to-month payment type which gives you a great opportunity to leave at anytime if you wish to.

The most important thing to keep.in mind when coming to Canada is to avoid going for too expensive houses even when you feel you have the money, the bills will still shake you grin, it is very easy to spend here but the inflow to replenish the spent money do appears to be very slow. In my own opinion, maximum of $550 per month is fine because you wont know the impact until you start paying and as we all know, no story at all when it comes to paying rents in Canada, you must pay your rent every 1st of a new month but when you go for less expensive houses, you will be able to safe more and work less to meet up with your bills, unless you are coming as married couples. I was indeed able to save more because of my low rent. Savings should be taken seriously as a student especially if your program doesnt permit you to do part time jobs due to the tight schedule, you will always have something to fall back at when you finish school and before you get a sustainable (menial) job because finding a professional job after graduation doesnt come immediately so you have to get prepared.

Anyone who is interested can PM me so as to talk to my landlord to reserve the room(s) for you. More TRV approval testimonies this week by his grace is my prayer for everyone. Merci kiss

there are 2washrooms and 1 half-bath. One washroom downstairs which is only used by me, the half-bath is in the middle floor close to the living room while the other washroom is in the upper floor shared by 3rooms.

Your reasons are very genuine, so no worries. Like I said you have a very good chance of getting your study permit, all you need do is follow the steps I stated in my previous post to you and also what some other people said as well(not the one that asked you not to travel though). Have you asked your sister to know if there are other reasons why she didn't want you to apply? If she doesn't have more reasons then apply for masters and let's take it up from there.
NB: What is your major (Bsc)? Where have you been working all these years(the position)?
